But reality would never be rewritten because of his unwillingness; the gap in power between the two sides was already worlds apart.

Mavuika's expression was calm; he deliberately restrained most of his divine power, using only pure physical strength, keeping the aftermath of the battle firmly controlled within a very small range to avoid affecting the surviving civilians and buildings in the distance.

He simply tilted his body slightly, raised his wrist, and gave a casual push, easily neutralizing every fierce attack from Abomination. He backhanded a punch onto its shoulder and kicked its knee, his movents as clean and effortless as if he were just toying with it.

A wisp of golden-red fire occasionally spilled from his fingertips, lightly singeing Abomination's skin and leaving behind charred burn marks. It roared in pain repeatedly, yet it couldn't even touch the hem of Mavuika's clothes.

The last shred of Abomination's sanity completely snapped the mont it realized this.

"Ah——!!!"

It roared at the sky. There was no anger left in its voice, only the most primitive, Beast-like madness of being forced into a dead end.

It grabbed that school bus—that yellow school bus weighing over a dozen tons that had overturned on the side of the road—and swept it toward Mavuika as if it were a wooden stick.

The school bus drew a huge arc in the air, accompanied by a shrill whistle that tore through the air.

Mavuika did not dodge.

He raised his hand, and the mont the school bus touched his palm, it was incinerated by the suddenly rising flas.

Abomination was stunned.

The next second, Mavuika moved.

He turned his wrist, clenched his fist, and smashed it back at Abomination with faster speed and greater force than when it had co.

Bang——!!!

Abomination flew backward, smashing through an abandoned shop, breaking a concrete utility pole behind the shop, and finally landing heavily on a pile of car wreckage at the end of the street.

It lay there, gasping for breath, its entire body covered in fine wounds.

Those charred marks spread all over its body, creeping across its earthy-yellow skin.

Under this punch, Abomination completely lost consciousness; its massive body collapsed to the ground, and it passed out.

The entire street was silent.

The soldiers of the Military stopped firing. They held their guns, standing blankly on the spot like statues.

Their gun barrels were still smoking, but no one pulled the trigger again.

The civilians hiding behind cars poked their heads out from their hiding spots, their faces full of disbelief.

So were trembling, so were crying, and so had their hands clasped together, muttering to themselves, not knowing whether they were praying or giving thanks.

Mavuika stood in the ruins, his long golden-red hair draped over his shoulders, fluttering gently in the breeze.

He looked as if he had just returned from a walk and was passing by.

Then, he looked up at the helicopter that had just landed not far away.

General Ross's helicopter had already landed. He stood beside the helicopter, his hand still resting on the cabin door, maintaining the posture he had when he disembarked.

He had seen many great storms.

In the jungles of Vietnam, he had seen his comrades blown to pieces by landmines.

During Operation Desert Storm, he had commanded an armored division of tens of thousands.

In the three years of hunting Hulk, he had seen that green monster tear tanks apart with its bare hands, leap fifty ters into the air, and move through a hail of bullets as if no one were there.

But he had never seen a scene like this.

A monster four ters tall that could throw cars with its bare hands and whose skin couldn't even be pierced by machine gun bullets—

Was knocked to the ground by an individual using only their hands, in just a few moves.

And that individual looked even younger than his daughter.

General Ross blinked, confirming he wasn't dreaming.

But a soldier's instinct allowed him to calm down first. He imdiately commanded the soldiers in a loud voice: "Seal off the scene! Clean up the battlefield wreckage! Get Bronski under control! And Hulk, don't let it get away!"

Abomination lay in the ruins, having turned back into Bronski. The shirtless special forces soldier curled up there, trembling all over, not knowing if it was from the cold or fear.

Mavuika stood not far away, with his back to him, seemingly preparing to leave.

General Ross took a deep breath and stepped forward.

While issuing orders, he tidied his Military uniform, announced his na loudly to Mavuika, and walked quickly toward him, his eyes full of the ambition of soone determined to succeed: "Excuse ! I am General Ross of the United States Army! Thank you for your help. Could you stay and talk?"

He was desperate to contact this mysterious person who could easily crush Abomination and bring this terrifying power under the Military's control.

"I saw what you just did," General Ross said, trying to make his voice sound steady and powerful.

"You defeated a threat that our Military could not subdue with all our ans. On behalf of the United States governnt and the Arican people, I express my gratitude."

General Ross paused and continued: "But at the sa ti, I need to know your identity. Who are you? Where does your power co from? Are you under the jurisdiction of any governnt or organization?"

His tone began to carry that habitual, commanding tone.

"People like you, possessing such power, cannot just act arbitrarily. We need... to establish communication channels, need to set rules, need—"

Not far away, Hulk finally ca to his senses from his daze. Looking at the soldiers surrounding him, his eyes once again flared with violent crimson. He let out a deafening roar and kicked off the ground with a leap!

His figure soared into the air like a giant cannonball, leaping hundreds of ters in one bound, instantly jumping out of the Military's encirclent and disappearing among the city buildings.

Watching Hulk's terrifyingly extre jumping ability, General Ross's soldiers could only sigh in frustration, unable to pursue him at all.

Everything settled. Mavuika had no interest in General Ross's attempts to recruit him, and couldn't even be bothered to look back.

His figure flickered, and a faint golden-red light appeared around him. He leaped into the air and flew straight in the direction Hulk had left.

Hulk and the mysterious person had both brazenly ignored him, leaving just like that.

General Ross's face instantly turned livid, looking extrely ugly.

Betty crossed her arms, glanced coldly at her father, her tone full of sarcasm: "What did I say, Father?"

Betty walked closer, her voice not loud, but every word was like a needle pricking into General Ross's heart: "You've been chasing him for three years, and what's the result? The monster you created almost destroyed half of Harlem, and the person who could truly stop all of this wouldn't even talk to you."

General Ross was silent.

Betty sneered: "Banner is right; this is all caused by us, and we are all responsible."

Although she was reluctant to part with Banner, she was even less willing to see her lover imprisoned, dissected, and used by her father.

She turned and walked in the other direction.

"Betty," General Ross called her.

Betty didn't turn back.

"Where are you going?"

"To a place without you," Betty's voice ca.

General Ross opened his mouth, wanting to say sothing to stop her, but in the end, he said nothing.

He watched his daughter's back disappear around the street corner, then turned back and looked at the devastated street.

Although Hulk and that mysterious person had both left, Abomination had been controlled; at least this trip wasn't a total failure.
