Natasha suppressed the thoughts in her heart and didn't show them on her face.

She knew she wasn't the only one who felt this way. The won in the Raven Warband probably all shared the sa feelings.

If the Boss was willing, Natasha had no doubt that those sisters would devote themselves to him without hesitation.

It wasn't an exaggeration.

Many things Matthew considered nothing more than amusent, pity, or simple compassion had, in reality, completely changed all of their lives.

The Red Room had been an absolute living hell for them. Day and night, they had desperately yearned to break free, yet every attempt only brought deeper despair and retreat, until they eventually grew entirely numb.

Natasha and lina were no exception.

A numbness born from absolute despair.

So to them, Matthew—the man who rescued them—beca a ray of light.

When you are trapped in darkness, unable to see hope or a way forward, that single ray of light not only leads you out of the darkness…

It also warms you.

Natasha understood that psychology had an explanation for this.

A savior complex and emotional transference.

People rescued from the abuse, control, and inhuman training of the Red Room would inevitably begin to deify the one who saved them—Matthew—and see him as their only light, their only salvation.

Anyone would react that way.

After enduring long-term imprisonnt, ntal tornt, despair, and emotional numbness, if soone were suddenly pulled out of that hell and given stability and dignity…

It was only natural for the mind to develop a deep psychological and physiological dependence, instinctively treating that person as a spiritual pillar—the center of one's entire existence.

In the end, they would willingly devote themselves to him without hesitation.

Admiration, reverence, and a deep sense of belonging would naturally take root and grow.

In psychology, there was a professional term for it: post-traumatic idealized projection.

The relationship between the Raven Warband and Matthew was exactly that.

After being recalled and liberated, many of the graduated Black Widows had chosen to stay. Aside from those who still had families or relatives to return to, more than one hundred and thirty won remained behind for precisely this reason.

And beyond that, Matthew had fulfilled every promise he made to them.

He gave them dignity.

He gave them a brand-new purpose and direction in life.

The younger girls who had not yet graduated were either reunited and settled with their families or carefully looked after if they had nowhere else to go.

He established orphanages around the world, taking in displaced children with nowhere to turn.

All of it further deepened that process of idealization.

Then there was the South Pacific island base he built, the injection of the Super Soldier Serum, the formation of the warband, and the harsh training everyone underwent together while also gaining bonds as close as family with their companions.

Bit by bit, it healed the trauma they once carried.

He even told them they didn't need to forget those painful mories from the past—that they should rember them and use them as motivation to keep moving forward.

With all of this accumulating one piece at a ti, no woman could withstand it.

Forget won—even n wouldn't be able to resist.

Natasha was no different.

She understood the psychology behind it perfectly well, yet she embraced it willingly.

Because she enjoyed it.

And because she longed for it.

Though… there did seem to be quite a few romantic rivals.

Even Yelena, the younger "sister" who had once posed as part of her fake family during missions, had loudly declared her intentions several tis already.

Poor Boss. He was still completely in the dark.

Of course, Natasha might have been wrong about that. Was Matthew really unaware?

Naturally, she didn't know.

And even if she did, it wouldn't matter. Her personality had never been the timid, hesitant type.

Those thoughts passed through her mind in an instant.

Neagley, anwhile, had no idea that in that brief mont, her good sister Natasha had already thought so far ahead—

Far enough to start planning to beco queen.

She was still enthusiastically talking about her ideas.

Natasha maintained a calm expression, listening intently and responding only occasionally with a few brief words. For a mont, the atmosphere between them was unexpectedly harmonious.

Neagley beca increasingly animated as she spoke.

That lasted until Natasha noticed Skye and Jessica running excitedly around the deck in the distance.

Following Natasha's gaze, Neagley couldn't help but laugh.

"Youth really is nice. So carefree."

"Not really. They both carry painful pasts."

"But compared to yours, those pains hardly count for much, do they?" Neagley glanced at Natasha.

Compared to this woman, the suffering those two girls had experienced really seed insignificant.

"I'd rather no more children ever have to go through what I did," Natasha replied with a smile instead of avoiding the subject.

Facing her past directly proved that she had truly let it go.

Neagley understood that, which was why she could speak so casually about it.

She knew Natasha wouldn't mind or be hurt by it.

"Well, they have plenty of good days ahead of them," Neagley gave a mischievous grin.

She had casually picked up two promising talents, and their organization had grown stronger again. That made Neagley feel extrely pleased.

Of course, when she thought about the brutal training the two girls would face at the base and how much suffering awaited them, she felt even happier.

Having gone through that training herself, Neagley had no intention of shielding the two girls from it.

A good big sister would only throw away the umbrella protecting them—

Then happily record their miserable screams in detail.

"The fact that they agreed to join and imdiately left with us really surprised . You'd be perfect at brainwashing people."

"No, no, no. It's not brainwashing," Neagley said. "They were already uneasy to begin with. They longed to uncover the truth, and they'll be grateful for this chance to pursue it."

As she spoke, she noticed Skye waving at her from afar. Neagley lazily raised her hand and casually waved back twice.

"Alright, ti to go teach our two little friends a lesson."

After chatting for a while longer, Neagley stretched lazily and left.

Natasha remained alone, standing in the sea breeze and gazing at the endless ocean.

Feeling relaxed and refreshed, her mind gradually emptied.

She heard the sound of the waves, the horns of distant ships, and the cries of seabirds flapping across the sky.

She also heard the calls of whales beneath the sea.

The feeling was mysterious.

So mysterious that she beca completely imrsed in it.

Only after a long ti did Natasha finally snap out of that state.

It felt as though her soul had been cleansed.

Not only did she feel refreshed, but her spirit was unusually invigorated, as though every cell in her body was cheering with vitality she had never experienced before.

"What was that feeling?"

Natasha frowned slightly in confusion. Her instincts told her that this had been an extrely rare experience.

She even tried to enter that state again.

Unfortunately, no matter what she did, she couldn't recreate it.

"Well, I guess it was just a coincidence."

Natasha didn't dwell on it. Since she couldn't grasp it again, there was no point obsessing over it.

But when she raised her head, she realized the sky had already grown dark.

Had she really stood there for several hours?

Natasha was even more surprised. To her, it had only felt like a few minutes had passed.

"Natasha, if you're awake, co eat." Neagley's voice called out from behind her while she was deep in thought.

"Coming." Natasha casually responded, shook out her hair, then turned and left the bow deck.
