"Do these people all have monsters living inside them?"

Magneto had no idea that Charles, his soti ally and soti enemy, was smiling cheerfully back in the real world. Right now, he had a pounding headache.

His aged face was filled with frustration.

How much ti had passed already?

Why were the people in front of him still holding on like this?

It was obvious that his gravity field had already fractured their bones and ruptured their internal organs. They had coughed up who knew how much blood.

They looked like they were on the verge of collapse, yet they refused to fall.

The strangest part was their expressions—they even seed a little comfortable.

Were these people perverts?

No matter how hard Magneto racked his brains, he could not figure out what they were persisting for.

Was there any aning in it?

Was it just because of those soldiers?

Magneto's brows tightened, a cold glint showing in his eyes as he seed to overflow with killing intent.

But in truth, he was hesitating.

If he truly went for the kill, he could push himself into an overloaded state and raise the multiplier of the gravitational field. That much was possible.

But after that?

The person behind these people still had not appeared.

Because of this, Magneto even had a very dark thought in his heart.

Could it be that the one behind them has stayed hidden all this ti because he wants to force to kill them, then suddenly strike when I'm weakened?

It was not impossible. From Magneto's point of view, if it were him, he really would do sothing like that.

To accomplish great things, sacrifice was inevitable.

His ability and responsibility ant that Magneto would not beco the one being sacrificed, but when necessary, he could also take the initiative to sacrifice himself.

He was not hypocritical about it.

It was precisely this kind of personality and style that had allowed him to attract a large number of followers.

Believing he had figured things out, Magneto ca up with a response. A flash of electromagnetic light crossed his eyes as he silently increased the output of his ability.

Boom!!

The terrifying gravity rose again. The entire space turned crimson, illuminating the darkness that had been there before.

"He can still raise it? This... this old bastard."

The newly intensified terror caused Reacher and the others, who had already begun to adapt a little, to suffer heavy injuries once again. Their faces turned pale, and their bodies swayed even more violently.

Even so, they ignored the shattered bones and damaged organs inside their bodies, forcing themselves to hold on and refusing to fall.

Everyone knew that once they fell, they would never be able to stand again.

Seeing this, Magneto spoke.

His aged voice carried a trace of weakness. "You're all about to die."

His words drew the gazes of Reacher and the others.

Magneto swept his eyes over them.

"I have never admired an ordinary person before, because to , they are nothing more than a swarm of fragile locusts. All they know is how to suck blood."

"Why do they persecute mutants? Because we are stronger than them. We are the future."

"They are afraid."

"You are different. You are not mutants, yet you possess power beyond ordinary people, and a will that moves even ."

At this point, Magneto shook his head.

"You are warriors, worthy of my respect. But look at yourselves now. What are you still holding on for?"

Under the gravitational field, Magneto's aged voice had clearly beco heavier and more muffled, like the striking of a drum.

"Your loyalty, your persistence—all it earns you is ruthless abandonnt, turning you into re sacrifices."

When it ca to incitent, Magneto was a master.

He had never been a brute who relied solely on power to crush everything. On the contrary, he was just as terrifying in these aspects as he was with his ability.

Magneto tried to use words to pry open the defenses in Reacher and the others' hearts.

As long as their hearts wavered, Magneto would have succeeded.

If he could pry these terrifying warriors away along with it, that would be even better.

"Your leader does not have the confidence to face directly and kill . He can only use this thod, sacrificing you to weaken my strength and stamina, then seize the chance to kill . A very clever thod."

"And just as laughable. Is your persistence truly right?"

Magneto spoke with stirring passion.

Yet he did not notice the way Reacher and the others were looking at him, as if they were looking at an idiot.

"Are you... questioning... our loyalty, old man?" Neagley forced the words out with great difficulty. She had always been soone who liked ssing around.

So right now, she was ssing with Magneto.

She did not even care that every word made her spit up a mouthful of blood.

Reacher and the others felt rather helpless inside.

Magneto did not know Neagley was ssing with him. To him, the fact that she had spoken ant she had wavered. His heart lifted, though his face remained calm as he followed her words.

"I would never question it."

"You are true warriors."

"I rely feel regret."

"What are you regretting?" A strange voice sounded.

Without thinking, Magneto answered, "I regret that you—"."

Before he could finish, Magneto's eyes suddenly widened.

What exactly was he seeing?

He saw that behind Reacher and the others, a young man had appeared at so unknown point.

And he was walking toward him with relaxed, effortless steps, directly through the gravitational field.

When he passed Reacher and the others, he even lightly patted them on the shoulders.

It seed like acknowledgent and encouragent.

The effect was excellent. Everyone looked at Matthew's back, their eyes filled with fervor.

Magneto froze for a mont. He knew that the young man before him was the leader of Reacher and the others.

At the sa ti, he finally noticed the expressions and gazes of Neagley and the others. Only then did realization dawn, and he discovered that he had made two mistakes.

Two extrely serious mistakes.

He had underestimated the loyalty of Reacher and the others. That loyalty was fanatical, no less intense than the faith of any zealot.

His second mistake was underestimating the strength of the leader behind them.

Magneto had originally thought the other party had not appeared because he lacked confidence in his own strength. But now it seed the exact opposite was true.

The other party was simply far too confident.

And he had every reason to be.

Inside a gravitational field over eighty tis normal gravity, he was strolling so easily and freely, as if he had not felt the gravity at all.

And then there was the aura around him.

It was so powerful that it far surpassed warriors like Reacher, so powerful that even Magneto felt horrified.

Matthew walked up to Magneto, stopping less than a ter away.

"You are not only a powerful mutant, Mr. Erik. You are also an excellent speaker."

Matthew looked at the famous Magneto before him, the man regarded by many mutants as a leader and savior. He gave his assessnt.

The emotion on Magneto's face quickly turned solemn, and he forcibly suppressed his exhaustion.

This was a conversation between leaders.

He absolutely could not allow himself to show even the slightest weakness.

"You are different from what I imagined. You are very young, child."

"Child? Perhaps."

Magneto t him head-on, but Matthew was not angry. Instead, after examining him for a mont, he shook his head.

"Isn't this tiring for you?"

As he spoke, he raised his right hand, pointing a fingertip at Magneto's helt.

Buzz!!

Along with a strange force, a dazzling cross-shaped starburst blood at his fingertip, and brilliant rings of light intertwined.

"Guess and see, will this blow kill you?"
