Bloodline theory is a rather mysterious concept.

For example, the mysterious "D" clan. Regardless, Haki is a manifestation of will. Matthew believes there is a real chance for others to awaken both Armant Haki and Observation Haki.

Once awakened, one's upper limit of strength would rise dramatically.

Willpower and conviction are highly idealistic, almost taphysical things.

The stronger the belief, the stronger the power—this is a standard concept.

Building a version of the Marine in the Marvel universe has a fairly high chance of success.

The Super Soldier serum was nearing completion. Follow-up advanced training, the Six Powers, and the teaching and awakening of both types of Haki were all prepared.

The seeds had been planted; the flowers were about to bloom.

This filled Matthew with anticipation.

However, hunting demons also needed to be put on the agenda. So Matthew imdiately set out for New York.

There was no doubt that New York was currently the largest and most watched city in the world.

This city could also be said to represent the so-called Arican Dream.

But beneath that dream lay a chilling darkness.

Matthew ignored that darkness for now, as his destination today was 177A Bleecker Street in Greenwich Village.

Matthew wore a black short wool coat, layered over a black turtleneck. He had on dark straight-cut trousers and brown Chelsea boots.

The overall dark, minimalist style had no unnecessary decoration. It was well-fitted without being bulky, tall and lean, carrying a natural sense of distance that kept others away—handso but not flamboyant.

He stood at the door, looking at the building before him.

Bleecker Street was narrow, lined on both sides with old brownstone buildings. There were few pedestrians.

The building stood along the street, with a dark brown exterior.

Stone steps led up to a heavy wooden door, with a brass number plate. The windows were fitted with black iron bars.

The entire building was quiet and desolate, with no extra decoration.

It looked like an ordinary house and drew no attention. Yet he could faintly sense an inexplicable force enveloping it.

It seed to have the power to influence the subconscious.

A flicker passed through Matthew's eyes as he stepped forward, climbing the few light-gray stone steps. He reached out and grasped the door knocker—but before he could apply any force, the door creaked open on its own.

Matthew lowered his hand. Standing before him was a slightly stout Asian man dressed in simple coarse clothing and a jacket.

"Welco to the New York Sanctum, Mr. Matthew. My na is Wong."

"Hello, Wong."

Matthew recognized the man before him. Though he wore a stern expression, there was sothing unintentionally amusing about this Asian sorcerer.

Benedict Wong—later the librarian of Kamar-Taj, responsible for its vast collection of mystical tos.

In the future, he would fight alongside Doctor Strange against Kaecilius and the ruler of the Dark Dinsion, Dormammu. After the Snap erased Doctor Strange, Wong would take over as the Sorcerer Supre.

He was a wise and experienced sorcerer.

Humble and quiet, rarely making mistakes—though after getting to know him, one might occasionally catch glimpses of his understated humor.

"Please, co in. The Ancient One has been waiting for quite so ti," Wong said, stepping aside.

Matthew raised an eyebrow. The mont he stepped inside, he had only just taken in the interior structure of the New York Sanctum when the scene suddenly shifted. In the next instant, he found himself in a grand hall filled with classical style.

The spacious hall was empty, its walls and floor all made of wood.

It carried a refined, historical aesthetic.

There was no one else inside—only the Ancient One standing before him.

The Ancient One wore a white robe, hands clasped behind her back, looking at Matthew with a faint smile.

"Master Ancient One."

"Welco to Kamar-Taj, Matthew," she said softly, her voice calm as ever. She added an explanation for what had just happened: "Every Sanctum contains fixed magical teleportation arrays, but only the Sorcerer Supre has the authority to use them."

"I registered your presence, so the mont you stepped into the New York Sanctum, the teleportation magic was triggered and brought you here."

"A very practical spell," Matthew praised it sincerely.

A surge of excitent rose in his heart—good stuff, all of it was good stuff.

He had to learn it.

"Magic is like the technology of the human world. It can drive away enemies, and it can also make daily life more convenient. At its core, there is no conflict between the two."

The Ancient One was very satisfied with Matthew's reaction.

Interest was enough. If he was interested, it ant her investnt would yield significant returns.

"Co, I'll show you around Kamar-Taj."

With that, she led Matthew out of the hall.

As Matthew followed her outside, an ancient, rustic scene ca into view.

Stone buildings built along the mountainside were arranged in staggered layers, their gray-black walls blending with the distant, snow-covered peaks.

The atmosphere was simple yet heavy with presence.

In the distance, he could see an open training area where several young sorcerers in coarse robes were practicing.

However, they weren't practicing magic. Instead, it looked more like traditional martial arts routines and combat drills, which felt sowhat out of place.

Other sorcerers holding books hurried past.

The overall atmosphere here was quiet.

Noticing where Matthew was looking, the Ancient One explained gently, "We are different from you. We do not naturally possess energy within our bodies."

"We study knowledge, learn magic, communicate with magical dinsions, and draw energy from them. But every act of drawing power cos with backlash. A sufficiently strong body—and avoiding overuse of magic as much as possible—makes learning martial arts and combat the best choice."

Unaware that Matthew already understood much of this, she carefully explained the underlying principles of magic.

Though he already knew, Matthew still listened attentively.

Humility was the most valuable quality of a disciple.

He would not beco blindly arrogant or prideful because of the achievents he had gained so far.

On the path of pursuing power, knowledge was also power. Negative traits like arrogance were the most lethal poison.

"I am different from you?" Matthew imdiately caught the key point.

"That's right. You are different." The Ancient One looked at him, her gaze seeming to see through the secrets of his body. "You are special—more special than anyone else."

"The energy of light and your flesh exist in two distinct states, yet they can transform into each other. Your body and soul form a unique set of rules. Under these rules, you are an elent."

"Beyond that, you also possess your own power—the manifestation of will and conviction."

"With such unique conditions, you can walk a path different from ours, using magic without being constrained."

The Ancient One saw things clearly.

Under these circumstances, Matthew naturally possessed advantages that neither she nor other sorcerers had.

He could learn magic without being restricted by the magical dinsions of the Vishanti.

Not to ntion, his body was far stronger than ordinary.

In both learning magic and using it in combat, a strong body was also an advantage.

She could already imagine how wild Matthew's combat style would beco in the future.

And when she thought of phisto—who had already caught Matthew's attention—when the two t again after Matthew had fully grown, even phisto would likely be stunned.
