The brief battle had not damaged the library, and overall, it still looked much the sa as before.

However, compared to earlier, many more sorcerers had now arrived inside the library.

Most of them had completely surrounded the area, and even Kamar-Taj's magical defensive barrier had been activated.

Kaecilius's rebellion had put all of Kamar-Taj on alert.

The Ancient One's sudden appearance finally allowed Wong and the other sorcerers to relax a little.

After all, this incident had beco far too serious.

And it involved Kaecilius.

To the sorcerers, the Ancient One was the pillar that steadied everything. Deep down, everyone believed that as long as the Sorcerer Supre was present, any difficulty could be resolved.

"Sorcerer Supre!"

Including Wong, all the sorcerers imdiately greeted the Ancient One respectfully and perford the sorcerers' salute.

"Sorcerer Supre..." Wong, having broken free from the freezing spell, walked over intending to say sothing, but he was cut after a wave of the Ancient One's hand.

Her gaze swept over the crowd, and she spoke softly, her voice echoing in everyone's ears.

"I already know what happened. Kaecilius, along with his followers, abandoned the light and defected to Dormammu. During the crisis, Wong risked himself to resist them. You've worked hard."

She first praised Wong for his courage.

Wong scratched his head with an honest smile, then said worriedly, "Matthew and Kaecilius, they…"

"Kaecilius used his own life force to summon a projection of Dormammu. Matthew defeated Dormammu, but Kaecilius escaped."

"From this mont onward, begin a full search for all defectors led by Kaecilius. Notify the guardians of the three Sanctums. Once any defectors are discovered, arrest them. If they still insist on serving the darkness, kill them."

The Ancient One's tone allowed no doubt, causing every sorcerer's expression to sharpen.

"Yes, Sorcerer Supre."

"Alright. Increase vigilance against outside threats. This incident may invite other external forces to cause trouble. Go."

"Yes, Sorcerer Supre."

The sorcerers departed, leaving behind only Wong and another young black sorcerer with a stern face.

"Don't worry. Matthew is fine. He simply left."

Seeing the lingering concern on Wong's face, the Ancient One reassured him before turning toward the young sorcerer.

"Mordo, what is it you want to say?"

The young sorcerer called Mordo wore a serious expression.

"Sorcerer Supre, I want to know why Sorcerer Kaecilius betrayed us."

"What do you believe the reason is?"

"I don't know." Mordo lowered his head slightly, his voice carrying a trace of disappointnt. "I once regarded him as my goal, but I never imagined he would betray the light and justice."

Although Kaecilius was sowhat extre and indifferent by nature, he truly excelled in many areas.

Whether in daily matters or during missions, Kaecilius had undoubtedly played the role of an outstanding guide.

He guided the younger sorcerers as they grew.

Because of that, many young sorcerers saw Kaecilius as both a friend and even a ntor.

Mordo was one of them.

"He was too extre, Mordo." The Ancient One looked at her upright disciple and sighed softly. "What he saw and believed in were both wrong. He believed the light could not achieve what he desired, while darkness could. But darkness will always remain darkness."

"Neither light nor darkness is all-powerful."

The Ancient One no longer spoke as vaguely as she once had. Instead, her words carried clear guidance.

Mordo frowned, a thoughtful look flashing through his eyes. In the end, it was unclear how much he understood, but he still nodded respectfully.

"I understand, Sorcerer Supre."

Seeing that the Ancient One had no further orders for him, Mordo took his leave. There were many matters to handle today.

Watching Mordo's departing figure, the Ancient One shook her head almost imperceptibly.

She knew that guiding this disciple, who was also sowhat extre in his own way, would require more ti. Or perhaps she should leave him with Matthew for a while?

The Ancient One believed that with Matthew's abilities, correcting Mordo's way of thinking would not be difficult.

The only problem was that once she handed him over, she might not get him back.

But then again, even if she could not get him back, it did not seem to matter much.

Following Matthew might actually be a good thing for Mordo.

And Wong?

The Ancient One glanced at Wong, who was honestly and diligently organizing books nearby. Should she send him along too?

The Ancient One fell into thought.

Matthew returned to the island base in the South Pacific.

At the sa ti, he sorted out the energy weapon technology he had obtained from the sign-in reward and handed it over to Milson's technology departnt. For the technological level of 2007, energy weapons were still an extrely advanced field.

It ant breaking away from traditional chemical energy, chanical energy, and kinetic energy.

The field of energy weapons was not just a major leap in weaponry, but also progress in the stable use and application of energy itself.

From that alone, countless other fields could branch out.

Matthew trained his body and practiced magic, but he had never once thought about abandoning technology.

As for Marvel Universe technology—those who understood it, understood it.

Putting everything else aside, wasn't the Super Soldier Serum itself a form of technology? It was simply genetic technology.

If technological progress could be guided and controlled in his own hands, then once it fully developed, it would absolutely beco a trump card.

That applied not only to combat, but to daily life and many other fields as well.

As a result, when Milson and the other tech enthusiasts received the energy weapon technology from their boss, they were overjoyed.

Milson and his group of researchers were no longer the sa as before.

Having entrusted both their lives and futures to Matthew, their scientific abilities could originally only be considered excellent at best. But they had also received Matthew's approval and reward.

That reward was the Super Soldier Serum.

Not only did it greatly improve physical health and lifespan, it also enhanced the brain.

Their thinking speed, mory, comprehension, and understanding all surpassed ordinary people.

That qualitative transformation instantly gave these once-average researchers the potential to beco world-class scientists. All they needed now was ti to study and accumulate knowledge.

With sufficient funding, equipnt, and laboratories, even Matthew could not predict what kind of surprises these researchers might eventually bring him.

Moreover, Milson had a calm and steady personality. Many experintal projects went through layers of review. He handled the first review, while lina, the head of the technology departnt, handled the final approval.

And with Matthew backing everything up as the boss, as long as Milson and the others did not create a weapon capable of destroying the universe, nothing would be a problem.

Now that energy weapon technology had appeared, it also served as another form of "training" for Milson and the other scientists.

Everything was thriving.

Very soon, however, Reacher and the others would start suffering a bit.

Because Matthew had co up with plenty of new ideas to thoroughly "tornt" them.

Matthew was never rigid when it ca to learning. On the contrary, he was extrely flexible and full of ideas. To put it simply, he had a very imaginative mind. Whenever he thought of an interesting concept, he would imdiately begin researching and implenting it.

This counted as one of his small hobbies during the spare ti left over from his intense daily training.

It was just that this kind of fun ant Reacher and the other soldiers would have to "enjoy" it together with him.
