Drex Valen tilted his head slightly, narrowly avoiding a sniper round that scread past his ear. At the sa mont, he casually fired a shot forward.

More than seven hundred ters away, a player lying flat on the ground in full camouflage gear had his head blown apart instantly.

"The strear's eyes are microscopes or sothing!"

"What the hell?! I didn't even see the enemy before the headshot happened!"

"I'm the guy who just got killed! This makes no sense! I was wearing camouflage and lying prone with my sniper rifle ready! How did he still headshot first?!"

"Well, that's why they call him the Human Cheat Code."

BANG!

Another gunshot rang out.

Two players who had briefly peeked out to scan the area collapsed lifelessly, large bloody holes appearing in the middle of their foreheads.

One bullet.

Double kill.

By this point in the match, Drex Valen had already eliminated more than sixty players.

anwhile, Spider-Gwen still had not fired a single shot.

Almost everyone in the lobby had gone after the Human Cheat Code instead.

But the Human Cheat Code truly lived up to his na.

Over sixty kills.

Zero injuries.

Zero mistakes.

Drex tossed aside the empty M4A1 and picked up a 7.62mm rifle before quickly scavenging ammunition from nearby corpses.

Even with perfect accuracy and flawless marksmanship, ammunition across the map was intentionally limited.

That had been Drex's design choice from the beginning.

He did not want players relying entirely on endless suppressive fire.

He wanted them consciously training their aim.

Eventually, he wanted a ga where every encounter ended in instant headshots.

That was what made shooters truly exciting.

At the mont, though?

Most players missed nine shots out of ten.

Boring.

But then Drex suddenly encountered a genuinely dangerous opponent.

Soone who could actually dodge his bullets.

"Interesting."

"That reaction speed definitely isn't normal human capability."

"Superhero... or supervillain?"

Drex Valen's ga strictly followed real-world physics and biological limitations.

If soone could dodge bullets in-ga, then theoretically, they could dodge bullets in reality too.

The only question was whether their neural reaction speed and body movent speed could keep up.

Gwen instantly returned fire.

Drex twisted sideways with equally bizarre speed, dodging her bullets cleanly.

This was the first ti Gwen had ever encountered soone capable of avoiding her attacks.

The sudden challenge caught her off guard.

But it also made her excited.

She imdiately drew dual pistols and unleashed an absurd barrage of gunfire. Her trigger speed beca so fast that the handguns practically sounded like miniature machine guns.

Drex instantly slipped behind a nearby building.

Bullets tore chunks out of the walls before finally stopping.

After all, Gwen's ammunition supply was limited too.

She quickly began circling around the terrain, attempting to flank him.

Drex, however, felt she was still too inexperienced.

After briefly leaning out to confirm Gwen's position, he suddenly aid his rifle in an entirely different direction and pulled the trigger.

BANG!

The bullet struck a steel plate at a precise angle.

It ricocheted toward a nearby U-shaped tal structure.

And at the exact mont Gwen passed through that area, the spinning bullet bounced again inside the structure before slamming into the back of her head with the last of its montum.

"What the hell?!"

"What just happened?!"

"Was that the legendary ricochet shot technique?!"

"Study geotry and conquer the world!"

"Am I the only one freaking out about how realistic this ga is? It can actually simulate ricochets like that?!"

Only after watching the replay did Gwen finally understand how she had died.

Spider-Sense did not work inside video gas.

She had relied entirely on reaction speed.

But who could possibly anticipate a bullet coming from that angle?

"…Gas really are more fun than reality."

Drex Valen felt an exhilarating rush flow through him.

A long-forgotten sense of excitent and tension.

Still, after getting sniped like that, Gwen would probably need a long ti to re-qualify for the tournant rankings.

Once the ga ended, Drex shifted his attention back to the aftermath of the suicide truck bombing.

The impact of the incident was far from easy to suppress.

After all, the attack had caused hundreds of casualties and direct financial losses exceeding hundreds of millions of dollars.

And because the bombing occurred directly at the Superhero Association headquarters, certain groups imdiately began questioning the competence of superheroes.

According to them, if even a gathering of superheroes could not protect civilians, then what was the point of the Superhero Association at all?

So people even demanded the organization be dissolved entirely as a private ard force.

Drex Valen believed he shared part of the bla.

He had trusted his mories of Marvel and One Punch Man too much.

After all, neither the Hero Association headquarters nor Avengers Tower had ever suffered a suicide truck bombing in those stories.

That oversight had made him careless.

As a result, Blade Tech Industries fully compensated the victims and families affected by the attack.

At the sa ti, Drex Valen and Tony Stark unleashed the full force of their combined financial influence to suppress most of the negative dia narratives surrounding the Superhero Association.

And this was where Spiderweb finally revealed its true value.

Most people had already accepted Spiderweb as their primary platform for communication, entertainnt, and news.

Twitter.

Facebook.

YouTube.

All of them had been completely crushed by Spiderweb.

Their user counts had plumted into the low millions, and even those remaining users mostly stayed out of nostalgia.

Eventually, they would probably migrate over too because of Spiderweb's sheer convenience.

And because the overwhelming majority of people now used Spiderweb...

Drex Valen effectively controlled what they saw.

What they heard.

What they learned.

If he did not want certain information spreading, suppressing it beca effortless.

As a result, those individuals trying to weaponize the bombing for political purposes quickly realized sothing strange.

Why wasn't public outrage exploding?

After investigating, they discovered that most ordinary people barely even knew the details of the incident.

All they knew was this:

The Superhero Association headquarters had suffered a terrorist attack.

The superheroes had successfully resolved the crisis.

As for the hundreds of casualties?

That information had been reduced to a brief ntion buried beneath everything else.

anwhile, anyone trying to expose the "real truth" simply got mocked by Spiderweb users for exaggerating the situation.

"Damn that Drex Valen!"

"So this was his plan from the beginning! The mont he created Spiderweb, he intended to control public information and public opinion!"

"He's trampling on freedom itself! Spiderweb's expansion must be stopped!"

In response, Drex Valen casually leaked scandals involving certain politicians and negative news surrounding several Hollywood celebrities onto Spiderweb.

Instantly, public attention shifted elsewhere.

People rapidly forgot about the bombing of the Superhero Association headquarters and instead beca obsessed with discussing celebrity scandals and political corruption.

As for limiting Spiderweb's growth?

That was little more than empty talk.

Anyone powerful enough to hold real authority understood perfectly well that interfering with a monster like Drex Valen was simply impossible.
