"Possibly a spacecraft... and it's heading for New York!"
"...?"
Again?
At this point, it felt personal.
What had New York done to deserve this kind of cosmic abuse?
"Issue a citywide ergency alert imdiately," Nick Fury ordered with a dark expression. "Begin evacuation procedures now."
Across central New York, ergency sirens erupted into the air.
Sentinel robots stationed throughout the city imdiately switched into disaster-response mode, guiding civilians away from danger zones with machine precision. Panic never had a chance to fully spiral. People who stumbled were pulled upright instantly instead of being trampled beneath stampeding crowds.
The sky scread.
A crimson teor tore through the clouds, staining the heavens red as it descended toward the city.
Then ca the impact.
A blinding white object slamd into the ground with catastrophic force, detonating into a massive crater.
Even citizens too far away to see it knew exactly what had happened the mont the shockwave rolled through Manhattan.
New York was under attack again.
Probably another monster.
Those close enough to witness the impact firsthand ran even faster.
The blast wave ripped across surrounding blocks, shattering windows across entire streets. Cars flipped over like toys. Alarms began screaming from every direction at once.
"My car! I just finished paying off the loan!"
"My Rolls-Royce Phantom!"
"My Bugatti Veyron! I picked it up today!"
A cluster of devastated luxury car owners nearly broke down on the spot before Sentinel robots forcibly escorted them out of the danger zone.
All across the world, televisions switched to live coverage of the crater.
Humanity watched in collective silence.
Steam hissed upward through the wreckage.
Then the spherical spacecraft slowly opened.
A man floated out from within.
He wore black battle armor. A brown tail wrapped around his waist. His wild hair frad a cold, predatory face.
Raditz hovered above the crater and casually surveyed the city beneath him.
"So this is Earth?"
A cruel grin spread across his face.
"Not bad. This planet should sell for a decent price."
His voice echoed across global broadcasts.
Every viewer imdiately understood one thing.
This alien was hostile.
At the sa ti, countless people shared the exact sa confused thought:
Why did every alien in the universe speak English?
Raditz's scouter locked onto a nearby police officer holding a trembling handgun.
"Hmph. Power level of five. Trash."
"Wow. An alien monkey. That's new," a voice said over external speakers. "Think I can claim naming rights?"
Only Tony Stark could crack jokes during first contact with a potential world-ending threat.
Raditz turned toward him.
The scouter flashed again.
"Power level one hundred. Also trash."
The Saiyan sneered openly.
Tony crossed his arms inside the Iron Man armor.
"Sorry, but I'm pretty sure you skipped immigration processing. According to international law, you're gonna spend so ti in a very small room while we contact your ho planet so they can pay the fines and extradite you back into space."
He paused.
"Oh, and bring soap. Prison showers build character."
Raditz's expression darkened instantly.
Even without fully understanding the sarcasm, he understood mockery perfectly.
"Shut up, insect."
A crackling energy blast erupted from his hand.
Tony barely had ti to react before the attack detonated against him and launched him through the air like a missile.
Fortunately, he had already equipped the Mark 90 nanotech armor.
Otherwise, he would have died instantly.
Even then, the impact was horrifying. Nearly half of the suit's nanomachines were obliterated in a single hit.
Tony crashed across the pavent, skidding through debris.
"Jesus Christ..."
His eyes widened behind the visor.
The power behind that casual blast was insane.
anwhile, Raditz looked genuinely surprised.
That attack should have vaporized anyone below a power level of five hundred.
The armored human surviving at all caught his attention.
"Earlier, you asked who I was," Raditz said arrogantly, folding his arms. "I'm in a good mood, so I'll let you die inford instead of ignorant."
By now, more heroes had arrived at the scene.
Hulk and the others held position temporarily, choosing to gather information first instead of rushing blindly into battle.
"Listen carefully, weaklings," Raditz declared loudly. "I am a Saiyan from Planet Vegeta."
His gaze swept across the assembled heroes with naked contempt.
"You primitive idiots can't even leave your own world, so you probably don't understand what that ans."
He smirked.
"So I'll simplify it."
"We Saiyans are the greatest warrior race in the entire universe!"
The surrounding heroes collectively inhaled sharply.
Earth had its own so-called warrior cultures, but an entire interstellar species built around combat?
That sounded absurdly dangerous.
Raditz ignored their reactions and locked eyes on the massive green figure standing ahead of him.
"You're the strongest fighters this planet has to offer, right?"
His grin widened savagely.
"Perfect. Saves ti."
"Once I kill all of you, I can sell this planet."
He brought both hands together.
Then he unleashed his power.
BOOM.
Violent waves of energy exploded outward from his body. The air pressure across the entire area spiked instantly as a terrifying aura erupted around him.
Dust and shattered debris blasted outward in all directions like a desert storm.
The ground trembled.
Small rocks began floating upward around him, pulled into suspension by the sheer density of his energy.
"What the hell? Is that an earthquake?!"
"It feels like standing inside a hurricane!"
Several heroes were forced backward despite bracing themselves.
The pressure pouring off Raditz alone was overwhelming.
This enemy was far beyond anything they had anticipated.
Then Raditz moved.
The ground exploded beneath his feet as he launched forward like artillery fire.
His first targets were the largest opponents on the battlefield:
Thing and Hulk.
Thing barely had ti to react before Raditz's fist smashed into his face.
The impact shredded chunks of orange stone from his body and sent him hurtling away through the street.
Hulk reacted much faster.
Years of combat experience, combined with Drex Valen's brutal combat training, had transford him from a simple berserker into a terrifying close-quarters fighter.
Raditz and Hulk threw punches simultaneously.
One large.
One small.
Their fists collided head-on.
The resulting shockwave exploded outward and blasted nearby heroes off their feet.
Tony rolled across broken pavent while issuing an ergency command.
Most of the Mark 90 armor had already been destroyed, leaving him no choice.
"Deploy Veronica!"
High above the battlefield, the Veronica support system imdiately launched replacent nanotech components toward Tony's position.
anwhile, Raditz's fists tore through the air like artillery shells.
Every strike carried impossible speed and monstrous force, detonating the atmosphere itself and creating explosive sonic vacuums with each swing.
Hulk took a direct hit and skidded backward over a dozen ters.
Then he growled.
And grew stronger.
Raditz's eyes narrowed.
"So your power increases with anger..."
