"It's nothing. Just a nightmare."

Drex Valen shook his head lightly.

But the mont he began examining himself internally, his expression changed.

His cells had transford.

Every single one of them radiated monstrous vitality and adaptive power.

He had beco Doomsday.

The realization hit instantly, along with the truth behind the dream itself.

That battle hadn't been random.

It had been a struggle against Doomsday's violent consciousness.

If Drex had lost inside the dream, then the one waking up in this body wouldn't have been him.

It would have been Doomsday.

"That was close..."

Drex exhaled slowly.

Good thing he actually understood what he was dealing with.

Defeating Doomsday in the dream had depended heavily on his energy absorption ability, but the rest of his powers had played critical roles too.

Though honestly, banning the Dragon Force and Phoenix Force during the fight had been unfair as hell.

The corners of Drex's mouth curled upward despite himself.

This was Doomsday.

A creature so absurdly powerful that intelligence barely mattered. It simply crushed everything through raw physical superiority and endless adaptation.

Even Darkseid's Oga Effect couldn't permanently kill it.

ntal attacks.

Soul attacks.

Energy attacks.

Doomsday adapted to all of them eventually.

The only known way to truly erase the creature involved weaponizing entropy through ti itself.

And now Drex possessed Doomsday's evolutionary adaptation and immortality.

Not every ability, though.

He hadn't inherited things like the spore-generation powers.

Still...

This alone was already outrageous.

"So sunlight in the Marvel universe really does affect Kryptonians differently..." Drex murmured thoughtfully. "Or maybe every universe has its own solar radiation properties."

Either way, becoming Doomsday changed everything.

Very few opponents remained genuinely threatening anymore.

Give him enough ti, and he could probably evolve to the point where even entities like One-Above-All beca killable.

The thought was surreal.

He had crossed into absurd territory frighteningly fast.

And honestly, even against the original Doomsday, Drex would probably still win.

His energy absorption ability alone was borderline unfair.

"So... theoretically, I could just kill Ancient One and take the Ti Stone now."

He considered it briefly.

Then imdiately discarded the idea.

He wasn't completely insane yet.

Still, the Tesseract was another matter.

With Hydra fully infiltrated by the Burning Legion, obtaining it from S.H.I.E.L.D. had beco laughably easy.

Alexander Pierce personally delivered it.

"Sir, the Tesseract."

Pierce placed a tal briefcase on the table in front of Drex.

Drex nodded once and dismissed him imdiately.

The mont the room emptied, he opened the case.

Inside rested the glowing blue cube.

Beautiful.

Hypnotic.

The deep sapphire light shimred with almost unreal brilliance. If the won around him saw it, they'd probably lose their minds.

Drex reached out without hesitation.

Previously, he had avoided touching the Tesseract directly because of one annoying possibility:

Getting teleported sowhere awful to beco the Soul Stone's eternal gatekeeper like Red Skull.

Now?

That risk barely mattered.

Doomsday wasn't sothing easily restrained.

The Tesseract trembled violently in his hand.

Then Drex crushed the outer cube casing effortlessly, exposing the true form hidden inside:

The Space Stone.

A small blue gem radiating impossible cosmic power.

The instant he grabbed it, the room exploded with energy.

Blue flas surged outward across the walls as space itself twisted visibly. The air warped. Electric arcs danced through the room while endless cosmic light erupted from the Stone.

For a mont, Drex could see the universe with terrifying clarity.

Galaxies.

Distances.

Dinsional layers.

The Space Stone attempted to overwhelm him completely and drag him sowhere else.

Drex snorted coldly.

Doomsday's evolutionary adaptation activated instantly.

Within less than a second, his body adjusted to the pressure and broke free from the Space Stone's spatial control.

"Behave."

He punched the surrounding distorted space hard enough to shatter the portal forming around him.

The Space Stone changed tactics imdiately.

Cosmic energy flooded into Drex's right arm like corrosive blue fire.

His sleeve disintegrated instantly.

Then the skin.

Then deeper layers.

But the destruction stopped at his shoulder.

In less than a breath, Drex adapted again.

The cosmic energy no longer hard him.

Instead, his cells began devouring it.

The Space Stone intensified the output stubbornly.

Drex absorbed all of it.

Every damaged cell evolved stronger and more resilient with each passing mont.

Eventually, even the Space Stone seed to calm down.

It stopped resisting.

Drex examined his arm with visible satisfaction.

Holding the Space Stone barehanded without injury was sothing even Thanos couldn't casually accomplish.

This new body was absurd.

And naturally, Drex's next thought was deeply irresponsible.

With a body this durable, he could probably handle even more of his "figurine girls" at once.

To be fair, his original Kryptonian physiology had already been enough to satisfy hundreds of won.

But Doomsday-level biology?

Different league entirely.

Unfortunately, that sa overwhelming power also made Earth feel slightly boring now.

Thankfully, the Mars base had already been completed.

Drex intended to begin developing true interstellar spacecraft soon.

If Earth no longer provided excitent, then maybe the universe would.

Mars Base.

Inside a combat arena reinforced entirely with atomic alloy flooring, the atmosphere detonated with shockwaves.

Tifa Lockhart threw a punch at Drex.

He blocked it casually with one hand.

At the sa ti, Esdeath attacked from behind, only for Drex to kick backward without looking and send her flying across the arena.

Three Kryptonians fighting at full strength looked less like sparring and more like planetary collapse.

Without the arena's absurd construction materials, Mars itself probably wouldn't have survived the session.

Drex noticed sothing else too.

Tifa and Esdeath had grown slightly stronger.

The increase was subtle, but definitely there.

The problem was that Drex himself had evolved so dramatically that asuring their improvent beca difficult.

A scouter really would've been useful right about now.

Even while thinking that, he effortlessly blocked another flurry of attacks from both won.

Becoming Doomsday had finally given him enough confidence to use them as proper sparring partners.

Previously, his strength difference had been too overwhelming. One mistake could accidentally vaporize them.

Now he could rely on pure durability alone.

Esdeath, anwhile, looked exhilarated.

Ever since gaining Kryptonian power, almost nobody except Drex could push her seriously in combat anymore.

But fighting Drex had always been frustrating.

If she went all out, he had hundreds of ways to kill her instantly, often by accident.

This?

This was satisfying.

Pure physical combat.

Fists crashing into flesh.

Shockwaves ripping across the arena.

Even after all this ti, however, Drex still hadn't taken a single step backward.

He stood there like an immovable mountain while two Kryptonians attacked him continuously without effect.

One hand behind his back.

One hand defending effortlessly.

The sheer composure was almost insulting.

And while casually handling both of them, Drex was multitasking elsewhere entirely.

He was already creating his newest figurine girl.

Graceful as a swan in motion.

Ethereal as moonlight behind drifting clouds.

Beautiful enough to make the imagination stumble.
