Now reading: Chapter 208 208 from Marvel's Kryptonian Scientist, a Action novel by TutorialNPC.

The newest addition to Drex Valen's growing empire was nad Angel Yan.

She was a hybrid creation.

Kryptonian genetics fused with the mutant Angel lineage.

Among mutant strains, there were two ancient branches commonly referred to as the "angel" and "demon" lines. The nas had less to do with morality and more with appearance. Winged humanoids on one side. Horned or monstrous figures on the other.

Thousands of years ago, those two mutant bloodlines had gone to war.

Humanity at the ti mistook the conflict for a literal war between heaven and hell.

In the end, nearly the entire angel lineage perished. Only the demonic mutant Azazel survived from the opposing side.

Of course, in this universe, naturally occurring mutants didn't even exist yet.

Every mutant lineage had been created by Drex himself.

Angel Yan was one more product of that experintation, just like Esdeath, Tifa, and Lyra Yan before her.

"Drex..."

Angel Yan slowly opened her eyes.

The mont she saw him, she smiled.

Deep beneath Imperium, inside a freezing underground industrial complex, colossal assembly lines roared endlessly.

tal arms moved in synchronized precision, forging gigantic armored war machines piece by piece.

Black Queen supervised the entire operation.

This was the beginning of Drex's next military project.

Space Marines.

Traditional power armor wasn't necessary. Marvel's universe possessed far superior materials and technologies compared to Warhamr's Imperium.

The combat suits Black Queen constructed far surpassed standard Astartes armor in almost every category.

Still, Drex deliberately insisted on one thing.

Bulk.

The suits had to look heavy enough to crush tanks beneath their feet.

The outer plating consisted of vibranium-coated armor.

Not even Imperial plasma pistols, chainswords, or thunder hamrs from Warhamr would likely penetrate them.

Vibranium's properties were simply too absurd.

It absorbed kinetic energy.

Negated heat transfer.

Dampened impact forces.

In practical terms, it rendered most conventional attacks aningless.

Of course, Thanos sohow chopping through vibranium weapons and armor like cardboard still made absolutely no sense to Drex.

The aesthetic of the armor was almost a direct copy of Warhamr's Imperial power armor.

Drex didn't even bother hiding the inspiration.

The primary mission profile for these soldiers involved boarding operations. Thanks to the Space Stone, they no longer needed assault craft or torpedoes to breach enemy ships.

They could teleport directly inside hostile vessels.

That changed weapon priorities completely.

Armor penetration beca less important.

Maximum short-range slaughter beca the goal.

So the standard weapon beca the gauss rifle.

Or, more accurately...

A gauss machine gun.

The weapon utilized electromagnetic acceleration coils. Massive electrical surges generated magnetic fields powerful enough to hurl ferromagnetic rounds at terrifying velocity.

Even prototype versions effortlessly punched through reinforced steel.

Drex found the irony amusing.

Humanity learned about Gauss's theories in school.

Now he was weaponizing them across interstellar battlefields.

The lee weapon loadout was even simpler.

Thermal fusion blades.

lt through the enemy.

Remain loyal forever.

Each armored soldier interfaced directly with their combat suit through neural synchronization, allowing movent and reaction speeds to operate at the pace of thought itself.

Drex called them:

Grey Knights.

Purely because he thought it was funny.

anwhile, the Kree bio-enhanced supersoldier initiative received a far less subtle codena.

The Great Daemon Project.

Every Grey Knight underwent extensive psychological conditioning before deploynt. Their individual personalities were stripped away entirely, replaced with absolute devotion to the Emperor and the Kryptonian Empire.

In a universe filled with telepaths, leaving soldiers ntally vulnerable would've been idiotic.

Independent identity created exploitable weaknesses.

Fanaticism did not.

Centauri Pri.

A rare binary-star system and howorld of the Centauri civilization.

Now it was under invasion.

The Grey Knights erged directly onto the planet's surface through artificial "Bifrost" gateways reverse-engineered from Kree Space Stone research.

The Centauri fleet never even had a chance to intercept them.

The mont the Grey Knights landed, the slaughter began.

Gauss machine guns unleashed streams of luminous projectiles across the battlefield. At a glance, the weapons resembled energy rifles.

They weren't.

Every shot was physical ammunition accelerated to absurd velocity by electromagnetic propulsion.

Centauri defensive lines evaporated instantly.

Their infantry armor offered no resistance whatsoever.

The gauss rounds shredded through everything in their path with rciless efficiency.

anwhile, return fire striking the Grey Knights did little more than scatter sparks across the vibranium armor plating.

Nothing penetrated.

Leading the one hundred Grey Knights was a single Black Knight.

His armor was even more monstrous.

The outermost layer consisted of adamantium plating.

Beneath that sat a secondary vibranium layer.

Adamantium provided nearly indestructible hardness and resistance to both physical and energy-based attacks. Vibranium handled shock absorption and energy dispersion.

Combined together, the suit bordered on invincible.

Even Drex doubted Thanos could casually slice through it.

"For the Emperor!"

The Black Knight's voice thundered across the battlefield.

"We are the Emperor's chosen!"

"Blood for the God-Emperor! Skulls for the Throne!"

The rulers of Centauri Pri were dragged from their palace and crushed beneath armored boots.

Then their heads were taken.

This marked the tenth civilization conquered by the Kryptonian Empire.

Every previous civilization had fallen beneath the unstoppable advance of the Grey Knights and Black Knights.

The Emperor beca the only acceptable faith.

Everything else was heresy.

Disloyalty.

Blasphemy.

Naturally, resistance movents still existed.

Scattered survivors hid in shadows and continued fighting against Kryptonian occupation forces.

Drex didn't care.

Expansion existed primarily to increase available manpower and resources anyway.

Compared to the horrors of Warhamr's universe, Marvel civilizations were relatively easy targets.

Marvel's real dangers weren't galactic empires.

They were singular entities.

Celestials.

Cosmic beings.

Galactus.

Things operating on an entirely different scale.

At present, Black Queen had only completed one hundred companies of Grey Knights.

Yet to the outside galaxy, even that limited force already looked terrifying beyond reason.

The Kryptonian Empire's military reputation spread like wildfire through the stars.

And the fear surrounding it only continued to grow.
