Now reading: Chapter 215 215 from Marvel's Kryptonian Scientist, a Action novel by TutorialNPC.

Eventually, Sif stopped trying to think too hard about things.

To be fair, Odin himself had placed her in Thor's inner circle to support him. Whether the Allfather had secretly intended to make her his future daughter-in-law was another matter entirely.

Which ant the current situation felt dangerously close to the lawful wife showing up at the front door.

"Ha! My friends!"

Thor's face lit up the instant he recognized them.

"I never thought I'd see you in my place of exile!"

He strode forward laughing, grabbing each armored warrior in crushing embraces before turning proudly toward the others.

"These are my greatest companions. The Warriors Three... and Sif."

He slapped the female warrior affectionately on the shoulder.

"This is Sif, my—"

"Your wife?"

Drex asked it with perfect timing and a faintly amused smile.

"Wife?!"

Jane froze.

The coffee cup in her hands shattered against the floor.

In the span of half a second, her brain had already constructed an entire nightmare scenario involving Sif beating her to death behind a gas station.

Thor nearly choked.

"No! No, absolutely not!"

He waved his hands frantically.

"Sif is one of my closest companions, but not like that. Truly!"

His eyes were painfully sincere.

No hesitation. No deception.

Jane reluctantly settled into cautious suspicion instead of imdiate panic.

anwhile, Thor remained completely oblivious to the fact Drex had done that on purpose.

Sif's expression dimd for only a second, but it was there.

After spending several awkward minutes calming Jane down, Thor finally rembered to focus on why his friends had co to Earth in the first place.

"As happy as I am to see you," he said seriously, "you shouldn't have co."

"No," Sif replied firmly. "We had to."

"Asgard needs you, Thor."

Thor's expression darkened.

"The peace agreent required my permanent exile. My father died because of my recklessness and the war I caused with Jotunheim. I cannot return. I won't ignite another war."

The old Thor probably would've sprinted straight for the Bifrost without another thought.

The current version had actually learned sothing.

Drex's political crash course hadn't been completely useless.

"Wait," Sif interrupted, staring at him in confusion. "What are you talking about?"

Fandral scratched his head.

"The Allfather died? Who told you that?"

Thor blinked.

"Loki."

"The Allfather is alive," Fandral said imdiately. "He's rely fallen into the Odinsleep."

Sif stepped closer.

"But if you don't return soon, Loki will seize control of the throne."

"And if that happens," another warrior added grimly, "the Frost Giants may launch a full assault on Asgard."

Thor staggered back a step.

"No..."

His voice cracked slightly.

"That can't be true. Loki would never—"

He stopped.

Even now, part of him desperately wanted to believe this was so elaborate prank.

"You're lying," he muttered weakly. "This is so terrible joke."

"Then go back and confirm it yourself."

Drex finally spoke.

"And really think about it, Thor. Does Odin sound like soone who'd die that easily?"

Thor froze.

"...But you said—"

"I analyzed the information you gave ," Drex said calmly. "If your information was incomplete, emotionally biased, or manipulated, then naturally my conclusions could also be wrong."

He shrugged lightly.

"That's how intelligence works. Even the smartest strategist can only reach conclusions based on available data."

Thor slowly fell silent.

Deep down, he already believed them.

Ninety-nine percent of him knew Loki had lied.

The remaining one percent simply didn't want to accept it.

But eventually, even that last shred collapsed.

Right now, Thor only wanted answers.

"Coulson already prepared transportation," Drex continued. "Go retrieve your hamr and reclaim your power first."

Without Mjolnir, Thor returning to Asgard would amount to suicide.

As for the so-called Warriors Three...

Drex honestly thought they were alarmingly weak.

"Thor."

Sif grabbed his arm tightly.

"You must co back with us."

"Please, Mr. Thor."

Coulson stood beside a waiting vehicle and opened the door.

The Bureau still wanted to study both Thor and the hamr, but letting an interstellar war spill onto Earth was obviously worse.

Sending him ho had beco the safer option.

Besides, if they handled this carefully, perhaps Earth could eventually form an alliance with a restored God of Thunder.

Then Drex suddenly spoke again.

"Thor. During your exile... what did you learn?"

Thor stared at him blankly.

"Is now really the ti for this?"

"It's the condition for reclaiming your power."

Thor hesitated.

Then he answered honestly.

"I learned that I was arrogant. Reckless. Foolish."

His voice lowered.

"I disappointed my father."

Drex nodded slightly.

"Fathers rarely know how to express affection properly. But they still place expectations on their sons."

He stretched his shoulders casually.

"Now that you understand your mistakes, go apologize to him. He'll forgive you."

Then Drex looked toward the horizon.

"I'll handle things here."

Almost the instant he finished speaking, the distant sky exploded with strange light.

A massive rainbow beam descended from space.

Dust spiraled upward in a tornado-like storm as the colorful column crashed into the desert several kiloters away.

The energy wave rolled across the ground.

Within the fading light, a massive humanoid silhouette slowly erged.

Coulson narrowed his eyes.

"Director... is that one of Stark's new armors?"

Drex glanced toward the gigantic tal figure.

"If Anthony Edward Stark possessed technology on that level," he said dryly, "humanity would already be conquering galaxies."

That answer instantly told everyone present the situation had beco very, very bad.

Agents all around them drew their atomic pistols in unison.
