Tony Stark froze when he saw the contents of the file.
A partnership proposal regarding the new-elent reactor?
After reading through the docunts Urd had sent over, he fell silent in thought.
anwhile, Drex Valen couldn't have cared less what Tony was thinking.
He was busy.
The race itself had only been entertainnt. A brief diversion. Once it was over, he moved on imdiately.
Jas Rhodes.
Tony Stark's closest friend.
The original War Machine.
Of course, because of Drex Valen, "War Machine" was no longer a unique title. The battlefield was filled with mass-produced chanized suits now. Even so, Rhodes had still earned his position through skill and rit, becoming one of the official War Machine pilots.
Anyone who had ever piloted one beca addicted to it.
How could they not?
It was the greatest weapon system humanity had ever created.
A flying armored platform capable of air and ground combat.
Bulletproof plating.
Overwhelming firepower.
A machine that made conventional warfare feel obsolete overnight.
Back when Drex first unveiled the original War Machine units during that anti-terror operation years ago, the United States propaganda footage had featured five armored suits descending from the sky.
One of those pilots had been Rhodes.
At the ti, Rhodes genuinely believed warfare itself would evolve around machines like these.
After all, no fighter jet or missile on Earth could match a War Machine suit in speed, mobility, or destructive capability. A single unit carried enough firepower to wipe out an entire armored division alone.
Then the monsters appeared.
The rise of Mysterious Beings changed everything.
Many of the stronger creatures rendered conventional chanized warfare insufficient. Even War Machine armor couldn't always dominate the battlefield anymore.
Fortunately, Drex Valen adapted faster than everyone else.
He created the second-generation War Machine platform:
The Iron Overlord.
Compared to the original War Machine suits, the Iron Overlord emphasized raw firepower and close-range combat capability. Its speed dropped slightly as a result, though it still outpaced an F-22 with ease thanks to its superior power source and lighter overall structure.
Rhodes eventually beca one of the Iron Overlord pilots.
Using the armor, he personally killed nurous Wolf-level monsters.
Then Tony Stark returned.
He built the Iron Man armor but refused to comrcialize it, keeping the technology exclusively for himself.
That decision eventually earned him a place among the S-Class heroes.
And after that ca the third generation of chanized warfare.
The Decepticon armor.
Compared to the first two generations, the Decepticon platform was a complete technological revolution.
The armor granted its pilot superhuman strength capable of lifting well over one hundred tons.
Flight speed reached Mach 10 to Mach 12 under maximum output.
The suit could absorb radiation and various energy sources, then redirect them through specialized emitters.
Its armor system carried a terrifying arsenal:
Arc pulse cannons mounted in the palms capable of countering both physical and energy-based attacks.
Cluster cannons.
Sonic weapons.
Flash grenades.
Incendiary rounds.
High-explosive grenades.
Micro-missiles.
Missile launchers.
Miniguns.
Gatling cannons.
Forty-milliter grenade launchers.
7.62mm M134 rotary machine guns.
Heavy shoulder-mounted artillery.
Custom heavy cannons.
Electromagnetic field emitters.
EMP systems.
Laser weapons.
Retractable steel blades.
And enough additional payload capacity to turn every Decepticon unit into a walking military fortress.
The armor also featured anti-radar stealth coating, movent tracking sensors, advanced battlefield scanners, and a full life-support system capable of sustaining operation underwater, in low-oxygen environnts, or even in space for up to twenty hours.
"Colonel Rhodes," a woman's voice said through the communications channel from Decepticon command support, "we've received reports of a Mysterious Being at the following coordinates."
"On my way."
The instant Rhodes received the location, the Decepticon armor exploded forward.
Mach 12.
The suit crossed the distance in seconds.
When he arrived, the battlefield was already in chaos.
Several War Machine units and Iron Overlord pilots had been damaged, and ground forces were struggling to contain an enormous monster tearing through the area.
Rhodes imdiately activated the Decepticon's full weapons platform.
The armor unfolded like a chanical predator awakening for war.
Then the firepower began.
Missiles scread through the air.
Autocannons thundered.
Laser bursts carved glowing scars across the battlefield.
Explosive shells detonated continuously around the creature.
According to rumors, Drex had integrated micro-dinsional storage technology into the Decepticon platform itself, allowing each suit to carry nearly three hundred kilograms of ammunition internally while automatically reloading weapons in combat.
Every Decepticon armor was effectively a mobile fortress.
The concentrated bombardnt successfully halted the monster's advance.
But it still wasn't enough to kill it.
"Move aside. You guys did fine. Now let the superheroes handle it."
A wildly arrogant music track blasted across the battlefield as Tony Stark descended from the sky.
Rhodes looked up.
Then blinked.
Tony's armor had changed completely.
The arc reactor on his chest was no longer circular.
It had beco triangular.
And Tony himself looked different too. Sharper. More energized. More alive.
The palladium poisoning was gone.
His armor had also transford into an aggressively flashy silver-white design.
Liquid Secondary Kryptonite Symbiote Armor.
After solving the palladium poisoning issue and finally clearing his ntal block, Tony's developnt speed had skyrocketed.
The symbiote armor represented a massive leap forward in technology.
Unlike conventional assembly-based armor systems, the symbiote tal responded directly to thought. It could instantly flow, solidify, reshape, and regenerate itself in real ti. The scalability alone far surpassed previous models, and the liquid-state structure allowed constant material replenishnt.
With enough reinforcent, Tony could even construct massive anti-giant combat forms on demand.
"Tony?" Rhodes said, stunned.
Since when did Iron Man switch to looking like a futuristic sports car?
"Rhodes?"
Tony sounded equally surprised to see a Decepticon pilot he recognized.
"Drex seriously loaded this thing with outdated weapons?" Tony scoffed automatically.
Rhodes snorted.
"You're just jealous because my suit carries more firepower than yours."
"Jealous?"
Tony laughed.
Before Rhodes could reply, the giant monster began trying to flee.
Tony imdiately activated additional reserves of liquid secondary kryptonite tal.
The silver-white substance surged across his body like living rcury.
Then it expanded.
Layer upon layer of armor ford around him until a colossal chanized giant towered over the battlefield.
The Giant Slayer Armor.
Designed specifically to combat enormous enemies.
Tony would never admit it out loud, but the inspiration definitely ca from Drex Valen's Iron Overlord designs.
The massive armored giant lunged forward and smashed the monster into the ground with a single punch.
The output of the new-elent reactor vastly surpassed Tony's old palladium-based systems.
Rhodes stared in shock.
Tony grinned smugly inside the cockpit.
"So, Rhodes," he said casually, "if you admit defeat now, maybe I'll give you one of these suits."
As he spoke, liquid tal flowed along his arm and ford a massive blade.
Then he drove it straight through the monster's chest.
The giant creature died instantly.
Rhodes froze.
Tony was offering him armor?
And after seeing what this thing could do…
Yeah.
That was extrely tempting.
