After free-falling the equivalent of three stories, Scott slamd onto the roof of a parked car.

A small dent appeared in the tal beneath him.

Having endured several minutes of pure insanity, Scott lay sprawled across the roof, breathing heavily. His mind was still struggling to process everything that had happened.

Then, completely by accident, his right hand brushed the red button on his glove.

BZZZZT!

In an instant, the ant-sized Scott expanded back to normal.

The world snapped into place around him.

"Not bad for your first attempt, Scott."

The calm voice echoed through his helt once again.

"Keep the suit safe. I'll be contacting you again."

Scott nearly jumped out of his skin.

"No! No, no, no!"

"I was wrong!"

"I'm sorry!"

"I'll return it tonight!"

Frantically tugging at the helt, he practically shouted his surrender.

The voice remained calm.

"Scott, make your choice carefully..."

Whoosh!

The helt finally ca off.

Silence returned.

Scott collapsed onto the car roof, gasping for breath.

Those few minutes had been enough to shake even soone with his nerves.

Nothing about what had happened made sense.

People didn't shrink to the size of ants.

People didn't survive falls that should have killed them.

People definitely didn't get chased through apartnts by rats while tiny enough to fit inside a keyhole.

Click.

"Hey!"

A voice suddenly interrupted his thoughts.

"What are you doing on top of my car?"

The owner had stepped out of a nearby diner with his breakfast in hand and was glaring at the dent in his vehicle.

Scott froze.

Then he looked around and finally realized how ridiculous his situation appeared.

"Oh!"

"Sorry!"

"Really sorry!"

"I'll leave right now!"

He scrambled off the vehicle and practically sprinted away.

A few minutes later, he was racing back toward Luis's apartnt.

Whatever that mysterious voice wanted from him, Scott had already made up his mind.

Tonight, the suit was going back to its owner.

No discussion.

No argunts.

No second thoughts.

Elsewhere, Drex Valen had witnessed the entire spectacle.

And now he was deep in thought.

Sothing didn't add up.

The Scott Lang he'd watched during the burglary had been remarkably competent.

Calm.

Professional.

Efficient.

Like a veteran operative carrying out a covert mission.

Yet after putting on the suit, the man had sohow transford into a walking cody routine.

Drex genuinely wondered what had happened.

Had soone switched people halfway through?

"Sir..."

The Black Queen's voice interrupted his thoughts.

She had also finished reviewing the footage.

There was unmistakable excitent in her tone.

"These Pym Particles..."

Her eyes glead.

"Their military applications are extraordinary."

The possibilities were obvious.

Shrink an enemy battleship to the size of a toy.

Destroy an entire fleet with a single shot.

The efficiency was absurd.

Drex shook his head.

"That won't work, Black Queen."

She blinked.

"Why not?"

Drex leaned back.

"Because true power doesn't depend on size."

His expression turned thoughtful.

"If the strongest being in the universe were transford into a coffee candy..."

"...it would simply beco the strongest coffee candy in the universe."

The Black Queen stared at him.

She had absolutely no idea what that ant.

Before she could ask, Drex suddenly looked up.

His eyes narrowed.

Sothing had changed.

A disturbance.

Not in space itself.

Sothing deeper.

An intrusion from beyond the normal dinsions.

"Dormammu again?"

Drex frowned.

The ruler of the Dark Dinsion had beco surprisingly persistent.

Or maybe he was secretly a masochist.

Before Drex could investigate further, the Black Queen spoke again.

"Sir."

"Unidentified objects have appeared in space."

The satellite network Drex had established imdiately displayed the anomaly.

Two enormous fireballs had appeared out of nowhere.

One mont there was nothing.

The next, they were racing toward Earth.

"They are not natural teors," the Black Queen reported.

"They were captured by Earth's gravity field, but then altered their trajectory and overca the gravitational pull."

She paused.

"Probability of extraterrestrial invasion: extrely high."

Drex stared at the images.

Sothing about them felt familiar.

Very familiar.

Then the Black Queen finished her calculations.

"Predicted impact site..."

"...S.W.O.R.D. Headquarters."

The incoming objects were quickly detected.

Their sudden appearance had prevented earlier observation.

Otherwise, they likely would have been noticed long before reaching Earth.

High above the atmosphere, two brilliant white lights plunged downward.

Air resistance transford them into blazing red teors.

S.W.O.R.D. Headquarters imdiately sounded the alarm.

"What is that?"

Personnel rushed into action.

Superheroes stationed at headquarters prepared for combat while others across the globe raced back toward the base.

The United Nations and Security Council were equally alard.

Another invasion?

Again?

People were beginning to lose count.

Even the imprisoned Nick Fury felt his nerves tighten.

His first thought was simple.

The Skrulls.

Had they finally arrived?

Despite his recent fallout with S.W.O.R.D., Tony Stark reacted imdiately.

He donned his biomitic armor and headed straight for headquarters.

Personal disputes could wait.

Aliens ca first.

The shriek of atmospheric entry echoed across the sky.

Two blazing streaks tore through the clouds, painting the heavens crimson.

Then they hit.

BOOM!

BOOM!

The impacts carved massive craters into the earth.

Around the world, televisions switched to live coverage.

Billions watched.

Everyone wanted to know what had arrived.

Steam hissed from the impact sites.

The smoke gradually cleared.

Inside the craters sat two spherical spacecraft.

chanical hatches slowly opened.

Two figures erged.

One tall.

One shorter.

Both wore battle armor.

And both had tails wrapped around their waists.

The taller one stretched his shoulders and laughed.

"Not bad, Vegeta."

"The gravity on this planet is pretty low. Makes moving around easy."

Nappa sounded thoroughly pleased.

Vegeta glanced around coldly.

"Stop talking."

"Kill anyone who gets in our way."

"If this planet suffers too much damage, we won't get a good price when we sell it."

Nappa grinned.

Vegeta continued.

"Raditz was a useless fool."

"Imagine getting himself killed by his own brother."

"Kakarot's power level isn't worth worrying about."

"Our real objective is the Dragon Balls."

Then his gaze shifted toward the gathering forces.

"Let's see what this planet has to offer."

Nappa nodded and activated the scouter over his eye.

Beep.

Beep.

Beep.

Cold sweat appeared on countless foreheads.

The sight was unforgettable.

The armor.

The tails.

The scouters.

Five years ago, another warrior had fallen from the sky.

A Saiyan.

A mber of the universe's most feared warrior race.

Raditz.

These newcors looked exactly like him.

The sa armor.

The sa tails.

The sa overwhelming sense of danger.

Across S.W.O.R.D. Headquarters, tension rose instantly.

anwhile, Drex Valen pressed a hand against his forehead.

This was his fault.

Again.

Recently, he had absorbed far too much Zero-Point Energy.

The consequences were becoming increasingly obvious.

The barriers separating universes were weakening around him.

Foreign realities kept bleeding into this one.

How much energy had he accumulated?

Enough that if he plucked out a single strand of hair and removed it from the restraint of his biofield, that single strand would possess a mass exceeding the total mass of this universe by more than ten thousand tis.

One hair.

That was all it would take.

The universe would collapse inward around it.

Space, ti, matter, energy.

Everything.

A singularity would form.

Creation would return to chaos.

Then another Big Bang would follow.

And despite all that power...

Drex still couldn't see a path beyond the Multiverse.

After all, ten to the hundred-millionth power was still a number.

No matter how absurdly large.

It wasn't infinity.

A flash of blue appeared.

Steve Rogers arrived alongside a gathering of superheroes.

They landed directly in front of the two Saiyans.

"You're lucky, Vegeta."

Nappa's grin widened.

His scouter displayed one reading after another.

"It looks like the strongest fighters on Earth are all gathered here."
