This ti, Drex Valen selected a very different kind of contract.

His target wasn't a gang leader.

Wasn't a corrupt executive.

Wasn't so bloated criminal kingpin hiding behind armies.

This one...

Was another assassin.

Not from the Midnight Hotel, but from a rival organization.

That alone made the contract unusual.

The details available to assassins were limited, but what Drex could see was enough to make the situation interesting.

The bounty had been active for twenty days.

Originally posted at one million dollars.

Now?

Five million.

Not because of inflation.

Because the target kept killing everyone sent after him.

Over thirty Midnight Hotel assassins had already failed.

Dead.

And that didn't even include over a hundred killers from competing organizations who had also disappeared trying to claim the prize.

That kind of body count transford a contract into legend.

Drex studied the file.

"Global pursuit..."

He considered waiting.

If the target kept surviving, the bounty might rise even further.

But there was always the opposite risk.

If soone else succeeded first, the opportunity vanished.

So Drex moved.

The target, a highly skilled assassin nad Gitt, had originally operated in North Arica. Once the worldwide bounty escalated, he fought his way through wave after wave of hunters before fleeing to Japan.

Most believed he was attempting to eventually escape into Russia.

They were wrong.

His true destination was Detroit.

Japan was only a temporary stop.

"Gitt," his Japanese contact said sharply, "what the hell did you do? The entire world's hunting you now. Even Midnight Hotel assassins."

Gitt shook his head.

"Yamada... the less you know, the better."

He wasn't being dramatic.

Five million dollars was enough to drive the global assassination community into a frenzy.

At this point, multiple elite killers, the kind with earned nicknas rather than disposable aliases, were actively pursuing him.

Yamada Shinsuke, despite his irritation, still provided sanctuary.

Because loyalty, in criminal circles, was often just another expensive form of stupidity.

"Where are my weapons?" Gitt asked.

Yamada led him to a hidden underground garage.

With the push of a concealed chanism, walls opened to reveal Gitt's personal arsenal.

Custom firearms.

Modified equipnt.

His "babies."

His North Arican cache had already been destroyed by explosives during previous attacks, so these remaining tools mattered.

Very much.

anwhile...

Drex had already arrived in Japan through Midnight Hotel logistics.

Their intelligence capabilities continued to impress him.

They knew Gitt's movent patterns, safehouses, and likely operational zones with disturbing efficiency.

Useful.

As Drex approached the target zone in his reinforced black combat coat, his enhanced senses imdiately detected danger.

A sniper.

He shifted smoothly behind cover.

Drex wasn't worried about being killed.

He was worried about expensive tailoring.

Then Gitt erged.

And chaos erupted.

Two assassins on motorcycles launched themselves toward the target.

A distant muzzle flash answered.

Boom.

Both riders were obliterated instantly.

One bullet.

Two bodies.

Armor penetration.

Massive stopping power.

Drex's eyes sharpened.

Now that...

Was skill.

A top-tier sniper had entered the field, and clearly intended to monopolize the bounty.

Gitt swore and dove for cover.

The surrounding streets descended into panic as civilians fled and competing assassins hesitated.

Everyone wanted the money.

No one wanted to be the next corpse.

Drex decided enough waiting had passed.

He stepped out.

And instantly beca the center of attention.

Tall.

Calm.

Black trench coat.

Dual silver Desert Eagles hanging at his sides.

Even hardened assassins hesitated.

Dual-wielding custom hand cannons was either suicidal stupidity...

Or terrifying confidence.

The answer beca obvious imdiately.

Gunfire erupted toward him from multiple directions.

Drex moved.

His dual pistols roared.

Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang.

Six assassins died almost instantly.

Six headshots.

Perfect precision.

Brutal efficiency.

"What the hell kind of shooting is that?!"

"Wasn't he facing the other direction?!"

Panic spread fast.

Then Gitt made his move.

But Drex was faster.

Both n fired.

For a split second, one of Drex's bullets collided midair with Gitt's round.

An extraordinary feat.

Gitt's shot shattered.

Drex's round deviated...

But Drex was dual-wielding.

The second bullet had already arrived.

It tore through Gitt's left eye socket and exploded through his skull.

The infamous global fugitive died instantly.

Silence followed.

Just like that.

A target who had survived weeks of worldwide pursuit...

Was dead.

And far too easily.

The remaining assassins made a quick calculation.

Bounty gone.

Profit impossible.

White Devil present.

They left.

Imdiately.

Drex had expected a prolonged battle.

Instead, overwhelming superiority had ended things before they truly began.

He holstered his weapons as distant sirens began to rise.

Ti to leave.

At the Japanese Midnight Hotel, Drex's arrival caused imdiate waves of attention.

Many of the assassins inside had witnessed the event firsthand.

Their reactions ranged from admiration...

To unease.

The blonde receptionist greeted him warmly.

"Congratulations on completing your contract, sir."

Drex placed two Skull Coins on the desk.

"I need imdiate transport back to Texas."

She smiled.

"Mr. Valen, our facilities offer exceptional relaxation services. Why not stay a few days?"

Drex declined without hesitation.

"I prefer my own ho."

A practical answer.

And an expensive one.

As he departed, the whispers intensified.

"White Devil..."

"He earned that nickna fast."

"Three hundred fifty-three kills in California."

"And now this."

"Hellfire's power structure is collapsing too. He practically erased a third of their organization."

Reputation spread quickly in the assassin underworld.

And Drex's was becoming sothing monstrous.

Midnight Hotel's covert transport returned him to Texas in under a week.

By the ti he stepped back onto his ranch, over three million dollars had already been transferred into his accounts, while additional wealth remained secured in Skull Coins.

Shelley was still occupied with sourcing steel, contractors, and construction logistics for Drex's future estate.

The mansion project hadn't even begun.

Which was fine.

Drex had other priorities.

After a brief rest, he returned to Kayla for weapons maintenance.

Because if there was one thing Drex valued...

It was ensuring his instrunts of death remained flawless.
