Veronica. (IMG)
"After a thousand years… I have finally returned!"
"This long-lost aura… is that you, Maxim? Wait—who are you?!"
Morgana, possessing Veronica, slowly opened her eyes and looked over the three people before her, including Luke, with confusion.
Her voice was hoarse from just awakening, yet her innate arrogance was impossible to conceal.
"Can't you tell? We're the ones who ca to save you."
Luke smiled, while the hand behind his back silently manipulated Reality. Behind Morgana, the colossal behemoth ford from the surrounding building was quietly closing in.
"Is that so? Where is Maxim? Did he send you?"
Morgana was still adjusting to the new body. After all, this was not her original flesh and blood, and Veronica's soul was still entangled with hers inside it.
She couldn't fully control the body yet, nor could she imdiately unleash her full power.
Her perception of movent and disturbances had also dropped to an alarming degree.
"Who knows?"
Luke's expression didn't change, his tone relaxed. "Maybe he's having a romantic chat with his best friend."
Yulinka and Madison, standing beside him, desperately suppressed the turmoil in their hearts and avoided looking at the "giant dragon" behind Morgana.
Madison was an actress herself, and although Yulinka was only a little over ten, her acting skills were even sharper than Madison's.
Morgana noticed nothing unusual.
"How… disappointing. I thought he'd be more useful."
"Forget it. Since you're the ones who released , from now on you shall be my servants. Obey my commands, and I will share with you the authority of the new world!"
She was confident that such a generous promise was more than enough to make the three submit.
Though they were sowhat weak, they could serve for now—at least until Maxim appeared.
A perfectly tid look of "joy" surfaced on Luke's face. "In that case… if I am to serve you, may I make one small request?"
Morgana frowned slightly but still waved her hand magnanimously. "Speak. What do you want?"
"I want—her."
"Hm?"
Morgana imdiately understood that Luke was referring to the body she was currently inhabiting. He wanted Veronica.
However, she had already claid this body, with its perfect figure and elegant physique, as her own. How could she possibly allow others to covet it?
"Ask for sothing else," Morgana said coldly. "I cannot give her to you."
"Oh? You won't allow it?"
Luke chuckled softly, his eyes suddenly turning icy. "Then I'll just have to… take her myself."
Morgana was about to scold him when she suddenly sensed the sky above darkening.
She spun around, only to see a gigantic steel dragon—ford from an entire building—crashing down with overwhelming thunderous force!
Shocked and furious, Morgana raised her hand and erected an invisible barrier ten ters in front of her.
Boom!
Her body was forced slightly backward by the terrifying impact as she barely managed to block the descending skyscraper.
Luke was also sowhat surprised by this.
As expected of the Evil Witch who could duel rlin in ancient tis. Based on this alone, she could easily qualify as a BOSS-level threat even among the Avengers.
But...
If you can block one skyscraper, can you block many more?
Morgana was powerful, but she was far from an omnipotent god.
In the original story, the protagonist used a Faraday cage to draw in the electricity of an entire city and electrocuted Morgana to death through sustained output.
Judging from this point, Morgana's combat strength was likely inferior to that of an awakened Thor.
Thor might be stunned by electricity, but at the very least, he wouldn't die.
After all, on Nidavellir, Thor had endured the energy output of a neutron star for several seconds.
Seeing more buildings in the distance gradually "coming alive," Morgana's expression finally changed.
In her current condition, it was impossible for her to withstand force on the scale of millions of tons.
So she made what she believed to be a wise decision—she decisively abandoned Veronica's physical body.
An ethereal spirit rapidly condensed in midair, looking down at the three people below, including Luke.
Flesh is suffering; the soul ascends!
Morgana had long since lost her original body. Relying on her formidable soul power and magic, she could continue existing as a spiritual form and still exert nearly eighty percent of her peak strength.
Moreover, in this spirit state, she possessed the ability of "elentalization," allowing her to ignore all physical attacks within the Mirror Dinsion.
"Bastard… you've succeeded in enraging !"
Morgana scread as she raised her hand. Several basketball-sized spheres of lightning erupted from her palm, striking from tricky angles toward everyone present—including Veronica's body.
Luke waved his hand, and jagged rock spines surged upward, wrapping all three of them in thick stone shields at the sa ti.
In the next instant, he flashed to the still-dazed Veronica's side and drew her into the protection of his rock barrier.
The ball lightning slamd into the stone shield, sizzling before dissipating into nothingness.
Earth countering lightning—perfectly reasonable.
It was a pity there was no lightning elental crystal available, or he could have stacked an extra lightning shield just for fun.
"Thank you."
Veronica gave Luke a gentle smile, then glanced down at where his hand had landed and said softly, "Um… could you let go of my.. ehm.. first?"
Luke acted as though he hadn't heard her, maintaining a solemn expression while his gaze remained fixed firmly on Morgana.
When Morgana saw Luke openly flirting right in front of her eyes, her fury exploded.
As if I don't exist?!
Then you can all die together!
Morgana's face twisted as the magic around her erupted violently, boiling like raging water. A radiant pentagram blood across the sky.
That was a magic circle ford entirely of arcane power—one she had originally planned to use to resurrect a global undead army and wipe out humanity.
However, now that she was facing Luke, she couldn't wait to teach him a brutal lesson.
However.. when she tried to communicate with the dead, she suddenly realized sothing in confusion.
There were no undead in this world!
Wait!
This place… the Mirror Dinsion?!
Morgana was alard.
She naturally knew of the Mirror Dinsion and even possessed related mirror magic.
But she couldn't turn the Mirror Dinsion into her own battlefield domain.
That was magic of an extrely high level—and even with her vast experience, this was the first ti she had ever encountered such a situation.
I can't fight him!
Reaching that conclusion, Morgana cast Luke a deep, cold glance and raised her hand, forming a curtain of water.
Even if she didn't fully understand the Mirror Dinsion, escaping from it was not a problem.
"Don't let her leave! She wants to destroy the entire world!"
Veronica looked at Luke with pleading eyes.
"Yeah," Luke nodded calmly. "Don't worry. She won't escape."
Even though Luke didn't know how to build a Faraday cage, that didn't an he had no way to deal with Morgana.
He was nothing like that loser Dave. As a mage, he naturally had to solve problems with magic.
Morgana's etherealization ability was powerful—but it also possessed a fatal flaw.
If she were struck by high-frequency lightning in an extrely short span of ti, it would be enough to disperse her spiritual form and prevent her from condensing magic again.
Luke swiftly scanned his skill library.
Warcraft: Chain Lightning and Thunder Storm
Feng Yun: Heavenly Thunder Formation
Naruto: Kirin
Legend: Lightning Spell
Honor of Kings: Power of Thunder and Thunder of Ten Thousand Force
One Piece: 200 Million Volt Amaru
A full set of thunder-based skills from six different worlds.
Heeh~ Morgana—are you surprised, or are you horrified?
After hastily escaping the Mirror Dinsion, Morgana shot into the sky and stared down at the bustling streets of New York, unease filling her heart.
She hesitated, wondering whether she should remain here and wait for Luke to erge to fight a worthy duel.
It was precisely in that mont of hesitation—the firmant erupted in fury.
