"And twenty minutes ago, multiple witnesses reported seeing a shadowy giant several ters tall appear on the street where Luke was located."
Nick Fury imdiately connected it to another incident. "The Qatar base attack?"
Just one day earlier, the Special Operations Command Center at the U.S. base in Qatar had been attacked by an unknown force.
Aside from one squad of soldiers who managed to escape, everyone else had gone missing.
Shortly afterward, the U.S. military network was invaded by an unknown entity.
They had only managed to intercept a single network signal.
Because of this attack, military bases around the world were placed on Level Four alert, ready for combat at any mont.
The President also ordered an aircraft carrier strike group to the Persian Gulf and strictly instructed S.H.I.E.L.D. to assist the Departnt of Defense's Seventh Sector in tracking down the culprit.
After that, survivors from the Qatar base resurfaced—but they were quickly attacked by a robot several ters tall.
It possessed an invisible shield and firepower, and missiles wildly disproportionate to its physical size.
In the end, the military dispatched Raider fighter jets, which successfully destroyed the attacker.
The mont Nick Fury saw the Autobots, he imdiately connected the dots between the two incidents.
The realization that the entity behind the Qatar military base attack might already be on U.S. soil made his unease spike.
Nick Fury felt his scalp prickle.
Great. Aliens are invading again.
"Call everyone back for an ergency eting!"

Just as Nick Fury finished speaking, another phone call ca in.
"Hello, this is S.H.I.E.L.D.…"
"This is the Pentagon Military Command Center, Nick Fury. The Secretary of Defense requests that you co over imdiately—and be sure to bring your elite agents."
Nick Fury frowned deeply, already preparing to refuse.
S.H.I.E.L.D. reported directly to the President and the United Nations. A re Secretary of Defense shouldn't have that much authority.
"This is an order from the President. Effective imdiately, S.H.I.E.L.D. is to unconditionally and fully cooperate with the Departnt of Defense's operation until the mission is completely concluded."
Fine. There was no way out of it now.
Before leaving, Nick Fury cast one last hard look at the blurry figure on the video feed.
Even though he couldn't see clearly, he was certain that figure was Luke.
"Haah, Luke.. Can't you just settle down for once? I hope this ends quickly…"

he found that a large group of elites had already gathered.
Present were the current Secretary of Defense John Koehler, United Nations Security Council Secretary Alexander Pierce, military hardliner General Ross, renowned entrepreneur and technical consultant Tony Stark, Justin Hamr, Norman Osborn, Dr. Isaacs of the Umbrella Corporation, and Professor Serizawa, head of the Monarch Organization, among others.
It was truly a gathering of elites, all assembled for a major event.
On the large screen, a massive robot nearly ten ters tall, encased in ice, was displayed.
Nick Fury recognized it instantly—084, the extraterrestrial intelligent robot.
"Ladies and gentlen, I am John Koehler. And clearly, you're all wondering why you've been brought here."
The Secretary of Defense stood at the head of the conference table, eting the gazes of everyone present—so curious, so confused, so grim.
He pointed at the screen with a grave expression. "The reason is this: Aliens have arrived on Earth. War is coming."
Among the crowd, Tony Stark's eyes lit up with intense excitent.
Dr. Isaacs, on the other hand, looked disdainful, as if intelligent life itself were nothing more than trash in his eyes.
Professor Serizawa appeared distracted, clearly uninterested in such "small fry."
General Ross wore a solemn expression, his eyes filled with battle-ready fervor.
As for Alexander Pierce, a faint smile played on his lips.
He idly twirled an exquisite fountain pen, and when no one was paying attention, the tip of the pen emitted a faint glimr of light.
The very next mont, a piercing alarm blared throughout the Pentagon.
John Koehler's expression changed drastically as he imdiately contacted the head of security.
"This is bad, Mr. Koehler! Soone is invading the Pentagon's military network… Damn it, they breached our firewall in just ten seconds!"
"They've also deployed so kind of spider-type virus. We still don't understand its function, but it's capable of damaging the entire system."
"And every ti we try to attack and eliminate it, it accelerates its mutation. It doesn't look like a virus at all—it's more like… it has beco part of the system itself?"
The shrill alarm echoed relentlessly through everyone's ears.
In an instant, a heavy sense of urgency filled the room.
It felt as though danger would strike at any second.
Tony Stark imdiately contacted JARVIS, attempting to counter the intrusion.
However, once JARVIS entered the system, he discovered that the hacker responsible wasn't human at all, but an intelligent life-form—just like himself.
Even JARVIS was unable to effectively suppress the virus.
The Pentagon was thrown into complete chaos.
