Shaan and Nalira slowly stepped backward, trying to put distance between themselves and the Blue Lizard as it crept closer. Damn it. Neither of them expected a Blue Lizard to spot them. Shaan had felt certain they would escape this bloodthirsty creature.
"We have no choice but to fight it." Shaan crossed his two short swords, preparing to launch an attack. "Robin Hood, help while—"
"No." Nalira swung her sword to the side. "I’ll fight this creature."
She narrowed her eyes. "I’ll draw its attention. You need to get out of here and chase Chelsie."
"Nalira... are you sure?"
Nalira nodded firmly. "The longer we hesitate, the more danger Chelsie faces."
Shaan was silent for a mont. What Nalira said was true; if they both stayed here, Chelsie’s life would most likely be in danger. One of them had to save Chelsie as quickly as possible.
"Go. Now." A golden-yellow light flowed along the surface of Nalira’s blade. "We don’t have much ti."

Nalira burst forward at full speed and unleashed a flurry of strikes at the Blue Lizard, forcing the creature to focus entirely on her. Seizing the opening, Shaan turned and sprinted away, chasing after Chelsie until the Blue Lizard finally lost sight of him.

"Yeah, you’re right." Shaan nodded. "But... what about Nalira? Can she really handle that thing on her own?"

Hearing Shaan’s shout, Chelsie snapped her head around. Her face drained of color. For so reason, she couldn’t move. Her body froze as the mysterious figure lunged straight at her, a knife raised high and ready to strike.

Carn appeared in an instant and rushed forward, throwing herself between Chelsie and the sudden attack. However, the mysterious figure’s strike carried overwhelming force. The blow sent Carn flying back, leaving her badly injured.
"C-Car... Carn..." Chelsie’s lips trembled as her legs gave out beneath her. "N-no... this can’t be happening..."
Chelsie slumped forward, completely helpless against the assault. The mysterious figure seized the opening and lifted his blade again, preparing to end her life with a single downward slash.

Shaan focused all his mana into his legs and sped towards Chelsie. He quickly swung his sword, blocking the mysterious figure’s attack just before he finished off Chelsie.

"Sh-Shaan?" Chelsie slowly lifted her head, tears welling in her eyes as she looked at him.
"Chelsie, get away from here!" Shaan shouted as he blocked the relentless strikes from the mysterious figure. "Now—run!"
Chelsie imdiately pushed herself up and sprinted away from the mysterious figure. For now, she had reached a safe distance, and that allowed Shaan to focus fully on his opponent.
’Damn it. I never expected this figure to be this strong.’

Robin Hood fired several arrows in rapid succession toward the mysterious figure. However, the enemy moved with incredible agility and dodged every single shot without suffering even a scratch.

The mysterious figure imdiately launched a rapid-fire attack at Shaan, trying to incapacitate him. However, Shaan was now at least able to match the enigmatic figure’s speed and managed to block all of the attacks.

Shaan quickly looked around and saw a large crystal rock nearby. Without hesitation, He imdiately directed Robin Hood to use his skill to blow up the crystal rock.

Robin Hood shot several arrows at the large crystal rock, and imdiately, there was a loud explosion. The crystal shattered and scattered in all directions, successfully distracting the mysterious figure for a few monts.

Without waiting long, Shaan once again darted forward, launching his final attack at the mysterious figure. In a matter of seconds, Shaan managed to slash the mysterious figure’s long cloak, finally revealing the face of a man.
