A thick, black liquid sprayed out as Shaan successfully slashed through the remaining tentacles. Well, he was fairly certain he’d managed to cut down all of them, and there was no way the huge tentacles would be able to attack them again.
"Nalira, I think we’ve finally—"
"Shaan, look at that!"
Shaan froze as he saw the creature finally reveal itself. It looked like an octopus at first glance, but it was twice as big as a normal octopus. Its eyes were a fiery red color, and its body was a deep black, which must have been used to trick its prey. However, that’s not what made Shaan even more astonished was the octopus’s tentacles, which miraculously returned in one piece.

"W-what is going on?" A look of panic crossed Shaan’s face. " Bu-But, I have already cut off all the tentacles."
"Dark core. I... I’m sure it must be because this creature consud the dark core that was inside the body of another creature of darkness," Nalira explained as she cut down the tentacles. "The Dark Core itself does have a regenerating effect for creatures of darkness."
’Damn it. I didn’t know about that at all.’
"The only way to defeat this creature is to find the core of the creature of darkness itself and destroy it." Nalira pointed her hand forward. "There... most creatures of darkness have their core located at the head."
"Alright, I see." Shaan nodded his head. "B-but how can we attack it? This octopus’s tentacles keep attacking us, and we can’t touch it at all."
".... I can do it." Nalira thrust her sword into the ground, and a radiant light began to glow from the palm of her hand. "I summon you, the king of expanse. Satan!"
In just seconds, a crown-shaped summoning spell symbol appeared in front of Nalira, and slowly, a figure erged from the glowing symbol. At first glance, it looked like a man in general. Starting from the height that looks less similar to Shaan’s height, long black hair, and wearing neat black clothes like a butler.
However, there is sothing that makes this figure very striking when Shaan sees it, which is on the head. On the top of his head, there was a pair of long, curved horns. His eyes also emitted a fiery red light that made this figure look quite terrifying.

With full confidence, Nalira dashed toward the giant octopus and prepared to plunge her sword into the head of the giant octopus. However, just as she got very close to the octopus, the creature gave an impromptu attack by shooting black liquid out of its mouth.
"Oh no, at this range, I can’t—"
"Nalira, watch out!"
Shaan dashed out quickly, helping Nalira just before the liquid managed to hit her body. "Nalira, are you okay?"
"I...I’m fine." Nalira nodded her head.
Just a few minutes later, mysterious black energy instantly burst out of the giant octopus’s body and wrapped around it. To make matters worse, all the wounds, including the tentacles, which had been burned, slowly regenerated. Damn. It was obvious this was because of the effects of the dark core consud by the creature, just as Nalira had said earlier.
’Damn, if it’s like this, we won’t be able to defeat it.’
"Nalira, listen to . We have to work together to defeat this thing," Shaan tried to convince Nalira with his words. "If we don’t work together, we won’t be able to defeat it."
"...."
"Nalira, trust . I’m sure, if we work together, we’ll be able to defeat this thing."
"...alright."
[Let help] Robin instantly appeared in front of Shaan. [Chelsie had finished helping the guy, and she will be here soon.]
"Good, then. I have a plan," Shaan told him. "And I’m sure we’ll be able to defeat that thing this ti."

"I want you to use Satan’s power once more. And when the creature is weakened, I’ll give Robin Hood the signal to use his ability to freeze it montarily. Once it’s struck by his arrow, we’ll all launch a combined attack and finish it off," Shaan explained quickly.

"Good," said Shaan, pulling out his two dual short swords eagerly." It’s ti to finish the creature off. "
It didn’t take long before the creature regained its strength and once again unleashed its massive tentacles toward them. Without hesitation, Nalira commanded Satan to attack. The daemon obeyed instantly, unleashing another scorching wave of flas that incinerated the incoming tentacles in a matter of seconds.
Realizing it, the two of them burst forward towards the octopus’ head and prepared to launch their attack. Instead, it was ready to shoot black liquid from its mouth, ready to launch the sa attack a second ti.
"Robin Hood, now!"
Robin Hood’s arrow shot out swiftly and managed to hit the huge octopus’s body. In an instant, the huge octopus froze in place, and it was unable to move at all. Perfect. Just as Shaan had predicted.
"Now, this is our chance."
Together, they attacked the head of the octopus with great force until they finally managed to stick their weapons right into the head of the huge octopus. Together, they exerted all their strength and managed to destroy the core of the giant octopus, killing it instantly.
