For a being so large to move as fast as it was, Walker wondered if the larger fire swallowing turtle actually had a skill that boosted its movent speed. Then again, each step carried them and the city a larger distance.
While this was a welco part of the way they were traveling, Walker could sense so flaws.
The fire mana around them was bleeding out of the fla swallowing turtle a lot more as it moved faster. To him, that was a true sign of the fla swallowing turtle reaching the end of its life.
While he understood that to the fla swallowing turtle and many others in the fire elental plane that was a good thing since the fire mana would return to the plane and it was natural.
However, Walker knew that this ticking down of ti was pressure and stress. It had a mission to get this city to the world where it could be safe without the constant shifting of the fire elental plane or any elental plane putting it at risk. aning if it failed then it would leave behind an entire race in an unsafe place.
The way the mana dissipates though was also telling. Walker could feel it leave the control of the fire swallowing turtle. It would imdiately begin to move away and balance the manas around the environnt they were in. Becoming part of the flow.
While this was what was to be expected, in that mont Walker was able to sense the slight vibrations caused by other distant creatures in the fire elental plane.
The reason he knew this was the differences in the mana and how it flowed. When mana moved naturally it would be more reminiscent of a wind current changing flow slightly but constantly.
When influenced by another monster, there was a sharper shift in the mana. The being further away was causing changes to the fire mana where it was therefore, this mana was pulled to balance it since it was free mana so to speak, it wasn't perfectly in the natural flow yet.
Following this train of thought, Walker had used skills to enhance his eyesight and also managed to buff himself enough to see a sliver of one creature or another.
'Inferno leviathan
An intense being of fla. Its ancestors were majority water affinity however its species rejected its very blood and went beyond to replace its mana and affinity with fire mana. As such, it is constantly creating a lesser controlled inferno around it making things very dangerous surrounding it.
Due to this it also needs to consu larger amounts of prey to grow and also to maintain its flas. When fighting it acts just as brutally as its fla sand is often known to attack groups of prey. It swims through the seas of fire and any lighter fire mana that has not condensed. This ans it can even fly through the fire mana considered to be the least dense.
Its larger red scales can be used…'
This was one monster that Walker was surprised by. It was very similar to the leviathan that were part of Scylla as a whole being but it also had more sharp scales and teeth. Not to ntion the deep red scales.
'Red fla dragon youngling
This is a very young red fla dragon. While it appears larger, this is just due to the flas it uses to appear in such a way. It is actually very small. This defensive ability it uses naturally when it senses larger fire monsters approaching.
They are akin to monsters until they age to fifty years or gather enough mana to awaken their minds properly. Their first years are entirely focused on absorbing pure red flas and survival…'
Another form of dragon and with their own ways to survive and focus on their strength even as a youngling. It was hard to add it to any of what Walker knew about the dragon's a traditions and ways of raising children.
Of course, the elental planes would be different. The dragons here could grow in various ways along with much more powerful. They were a risk to the elental planes themselves which was why so had tasks of maintaining the balance of certain areas entirely.
"Are you still appraising everything like you were before?" It wasn't that Su didn't like knowing more, it was just that their situation was strange being in a city in the back of a massive fire turtle. So as a defensive protection, she was on edge since she felt she had to now protect a being stronger than her.
"I have been boosting my eyesight to appraise monsters far away. I've seen a leviathan that is based on flas and a very young dragon that uses flas to appear larger. I wanted to see what other threats might co to us with so much fire mana spilling away from the fla swallowing turtle."
"We might have a fight here then. Plenty opportunity for a powerful monster to get an easier al." This did not ease Su's mind since Su was worried about dangerous monsters appearing in the first place.
"If anything really dangerous cos I'll use water mana," Walker spoke calmly and in a smaller voice than usual. He knew it was an extrely dangerous idea but if there was a threat to everyone here he would not fail to protect them. He also knew he could bring back the water mana under his control.
Part of all his training had been to recycle and use mana again. He managed to bring it back in to his control before in the world, here, the only man stopping him would be for mana. Therefore, he would be able to more easily bring the mana under his control again without other manas trying to balance or bond with it.
As if on Cue to make everyone feel more uneasy, a pulse of violent fire mana washed over them. The coal people in their hos froze in fear since they knew very well that this form of oppression was not a kind and careful being trying to help them.
'Whip fla Scorpio
One of the behemoth scorpion species, it had learned to use intense devouring flas as venom within its claws and tail. It can grow to massive sizes in its short three hundred year lifespan. It often carries the eggs of its young on its back feeding them the flas of weaker beings.
The speed it can whip its tail to sting is incredible which is how it has gotten its na. It's also able to wreath its body in toxic flas which attempt to absorb fire mana around it and take over control to disrupt control.
Its shell is considered a dicinal ingredient that can be made in to potent fire attracting dicine for young beings that suffer from deficiencies. Its venom can be used to coat weapons and harm other ability to control fire mana. The venom has a very short shelf life…'
"Be at ease!" The booming voice of the fla swallowing turtle echoed out. The massive whip fla scorpion didn't move around with harmful intent, it had just made itself clearly known to all of them.
As Walker looked more carefully, he saw dozens of small red eggs greedily absorbing absorbing fire mana from the larger scorpion's back.
"It ca to feed the dissipating fire mana from the turtle to its eggs. It isn't going to fight but it might actually defend us since it needs the mana to help its young." It was unexpected but another powerful monster that understood the limits it had was interesting.
"It knows it can't beat the fla swallowing turtle. It's too weak. But it understands that no harm can co from taking what is being lost and using it. So monsters are wise." Su's thought possess wasn't bad at all.
This was a smart monster that wanted to do the best for its young. If acting like a deterrent and taking bits of lost mana would do that, then so be it. Naturally, the fla swallowing turtle at its age understood that, it was losing its life and this mana would return to the flow of the fire elental planes. Therefore, letting another being benefit for the future was well worth it.
The bonus was that this whip fla scorpion would also help protect to a degree as well. Not many monsters would want to fight both of them unless they were imnsely more powerful and resistant to the dangerous venomous flas that the scorpion possessed.
"The nature here is just as unique as the world. We are just seeing a different side of it. That monster could fight and cause a lot of damage, but it knows it's better for it to act peacefully and take advantage. It's strange and beautiful in its own right."
