Developnt of the land where the earth chira had settled was going smoothly. Walker was glad to see that they were not just making small earth dens. It was actually more closely resembling the ways that the goblins had built so of their hos mixed with the caverns they had co from when Walker first t them.
Where things were different was that the earth they shaped was fairly tough and well condensed. A clear example of what they could do with their earth mana affinity.
There has also been so food brought over. Primarily earth affinity monster at which has made every single earthen chira halt what they were doing. They could sense the earth mana within the at and they knew that it was sothing they could easily consu.
When it ca to trusting it though, there was a hesitation and clear addition of aggression in the way they watched the soldiers who brought the carts of at. Walker had to step in one more ti to make sure that their natural instincts to attack were not taking over.
The first earth chira that ca over stopped most aggressive actions though. Its single roar made every other earthen chira step back while she picked what she wanted and brought it all back to her cubs.
The dynamic that the other earthen chira kept for the parent that first ca through was clear. She was stronger and able to handle the leadership. If she was to eat, then they could also eat. If she was safe and allowed her cubs to eat then the others could do the sa. Not only did she stand as the leader of the group in strength, it was also as the one who would face danger first.
While Walker felt that it was odd since she was a parent to multiple earthen chira cubs, he didn't want to say or do anything to change that. If this was the culture that the earthen chira were developing, he was not in any position tos stop them from that.
Besides, every culture had tis in their furthest history where they began to do sothing different than the natural born instincts which they had. They had to shape their intelligent culture so how.
So had begun to follow ancient monsters or believe in religions. Others had begun to look into the way that the world worked around them. However, all of them had those monts where they showed a start of their culture. This was one of those that had existed within the earth elental plane but now Walker was witnessing.
He didn't have to do anything else for the remainder of the day, in actuality, he felt that there was plenty better to be left alone for the ti being. Those earthen chira who had been injured were resting while many others appeared to be finding better position for where they might live and build their own huts.
While it was clear that trust was not developing further just yet, the earthen chira didn't seem to need to eat as often as what Walker predicted. Most likely because they had been smaller monsters in a land where there were even larger predators than them.
Most of the ti the monsters that were preyed on or that could not find prey as often would learn or grow to not need to eat as often. This would allow them to survive off of less food and mana than what others might need. It was also a way to be able to hide for longer and resist any of the dangerous aspects of their environnt.
All of this could be put aside now though, Walker found that without the threat of a potential issue coming from the earth elental plane, he could look at the other parts of the world.
Within Genesis, a lot of advancents still happen daily, he had expected to find that more would appear with the ideas of resistance training in mind.
He was right.
The rune carvers had managed to set up selected small areas made with resistant materials which were then carved with dangerous runes. For most of the purposes these runes had been used for were in trap formations. The ruins that so had explored had ancient traps or the remnants of traps at one point. They had been researched and were able to be replicated in today's age.
These traps would sotis gather mana while they were not active, later they would be triggered and release that mana in a dangerous fireball for example. Walker had watched so of them and was already reaching the testing ground used for new rune formations.
The entire training ground was part of the crafting guild and the magic tower. They joined in on the so called claim to the rune carvers since the rune carvers could use both magic and also use basic materials.
As such, they were also very interested in the resistance training ideas and both pushed for the completion of these things.
"This is the first resistance training room we have completed fully. The fire room is still waiting on additional materials that can resist the heat which breaks most of the materials. The wind room is ideal though since many earth materials can resist it well."
The rune carver who was speaking to Walker was an apprentice serving under three rune carvers that had been leading this project. The apprentice had managed to learn a great deal and was not so well versed in rune trap formation that it was his specialty.
"The mana will constantly be absorbed from the area and be released in vicious winds and even a wind blade if need be. We have it lowered so that the wind will not create blades constantly. That would only be for those of well advanced resistances in magic and physical natures."
While the room they built on the testing field was small, it could easily fit for our five people. The forced tal was reinforced and used different alloys, all very tough. It would be extrely hard for any of the guards Walker knew of average or even advanced strength to put a dent in. it was certain that if the tal alloy was not so happy, it would be useful for transportation. Carriages made with it would be very strong and less likely to be hard by monsters in transit.
This was why Walker was also interested in this alloy though, it was one that could easily resist wind mana so it might be valuable for the heavily armored guards who were going on about their strength to carry larger weapons and hit harder. Every single army and guard had a few people like that though.
"The wind mana will activate with additional mana touching the formation." With a small tap the apprentice started a swirl of wind that Walker could feel with the one sided door open. He used his mana sense to feel the danger.
Anyone who was not accustod to the mana would feel a pressure and also struggle to breath or even use their own mana. It was overwhelming for most people. When a few small blades of wind flew about, Walker could sense the imnse danger that was within the room that he was now seeing.
There was a great chance that people who had zero wind resistance would be hard imnsely. But those that needed to train their wind resistance would find that they were able to temper their bodies.
This was a major improvent with how they could learn to be able to travel in to the elental planes. "How many different elental rooms like this will be ready for the next month or so?" He looked at the apprentice who pointed out several others being tested.
"The water room is nearly complete, the fire is awaiting materials, the earth is hard and we need more runes to test, the dark and light are both nearly complete and by the end of the week we will test again."
"In that case, I want to send so people over to help you test. This will also be a good chance for us to include more healers who are going to work on affinity buffs which will protect others from different affinity magics."
He had his plans to begin improving those who had the chances to go to the elental planes. Within a few months there was going to be better thods than just training one on one or going through harsh tests to improve resistances. The elental resistances that everyone needed would be higher and higher as ti went on as well. It was just a matter of ti until they all had to deal with another elental issue with mana flowing in to the world from the elental planes.
