"Hello, I received a quest to co and pick up a mapping orb?" The visitor who appeared was clearly an adventurer. It felt random since there was no specific reason that this might occur right now of all tis.
Yes, the mapping progress needed to speed up and Walker was the person who would be pushing that ahead. However, Walker had just arrived and had been ditating for barely two hours while also watching the progress of the mapping team grow.
This seed too quick.
"Can you tell the details of your quest?" Walker speaking up caught the woman’s attention.
As he examined her he saw the animal skin leather armor along with a sowhat heavy two handed ax on her back. She had so slight bear like features proving that she was one of the many demi-human warriors. The scars on her exposed arms proved that she had been in many fights with more than just other warriors.
"Yes sir, I am the leader of a twenty warrior strong group ready to adventure in to whatever lands required of us. We returned from handling a small outbreak of white scorpions near the alabaster forest. I received a quest to undertake a two week long journey to begin mapping the southern lands and mark the locations of several dungeons that amy exist along the way."
"I take it it is a chain quest and once you arrived here to request the mapping orb you gained that second link quest?" Walker believed this was more of the will of the world and existence influencing the naturally appearing quests. He didn’t even have to create this one. The group of warriors was larger naturally and they were all adventurers.
After seeing the leader nod, Walker stood up. "This is a small mapping orb. It is better if you can find a sensory mage or soone with mapping skills to go with you or if they are in your group they take hold of this orb." He carefully handed the orb to the leader.
"The goals we have now are to begin mapping the entire world while I drop off orbs to the other bridges to the elental planes. That ans groups like yours who are used to traveling for longer journeys will be the keystone to mapping efforts. The dragons will also be assisting, as you see both royal dragons Mordant and Rise are here."
"You will be marking dungeons because of your quest given to you by the will of the world and the adventurer’s guild will be notified that your quest will also be supported by Genesis. I will also be updated as you follow and map the lands you travel. This entire room is made to ensure that all information is available to as many as possible."
The fact that the leader of this group was not standing in awe proved that she had a good head on her shoulders. This grand mapping hall was spectacular and the map that could be seen on the massive globe was sothing that would make any average person stunned.
"I hope your group has the ti to rest and prepare. When it cos to the rob all you need is to add mana to it. You won’t get much in return without a sensory mage or soone with the right skills. If you have them they can tell you about the area you are in. you may spot monsters nearby or be able to sense strangeness in mana fluctuations. It will be an invaluable tool while you travel. I will also give you another quest."
The leader blinked a little stunned. Not everyone had heard about the quests Walker could now hand out using his newly achieved skill.
"I will give you five more small mapping orbs. The crafters preparing them have been working with very little rest. We have several more prepared for monts like this, and for villages that will be able to use the mapping orbs to ensure we can head there to protect them or to assist them in other matters regardless of distance."
"Thank you for the opportunity. I will also report to General Scylla the importance of our quest. She trained every single warrior in my team for a full week when I approached her wishing to make an independent group." There was a pure loyalty towards Scylla in this leader’s tone that was good to hear.
Scylla would never turn down adding people to her training. Whether they were guards or soldiers, she would take whatever she could to make sure everyone gained strength. Hence why she was also known for training many of the champions within the coliseum. She would willingly spend the ti training them.
"Then also let Scylla know that I could use her help. I know she is very busy, but having her as the representative of all demi-humans within genesis deliver a mapping orb to her king would an quite a bit to and all of Genesis." Walker knew that the added orb he was handing the leader would carry trust and an example of their cooperation to the whole of the demi-human kingdom.
"Of course. It would be an honor to share the hard work of Genesis with my people in my holand. Thank you for the opportunity!" The woman was off with a spring to her step that told Walker there would not be a single issue in achieving the mapping of the demi-human lands.
"That was very good. Now we have another larger area being mapped and a beginning to the adventurer quest listings we planned to place within the next few hours." Rise’s response to everything that happened was better than just good. She seed almost ready to laugh in excitent. It was sowhat stronger compared to her colder and more serious attitude that everyone was used to.
"I believe that this is just the world starting to push everyone in the right direction to make sure that it and everyone within stays healthy. It feels right and I will keep working on that." Walker stepped away with the mapping orbs he needed to visit every single bridge. "Oh, and when I get back from leaving the mapping orbs, I will be preparing for the chance we might begin having visitors co from the elental planes to see the world."
This left everyone within the grand mapping hall frozen for the briefest of monts. "He just had to leave that at the end. I guess we will need to pick out even more staff for this place." Mordant’s acceptance was quick, but he imdiately felt his rivalry stirring. Rise was already speaking to two people before he had even started.
The growth she had made was more than just with her control of light mana. It was internal as well. She was acting more like a leader of Genesis than just a leader of the light dragons. He liked it. He was almost jealous too. Almost.
Without much gestation, more people began moving in and out of the mapping hall. It was noticed by many but soone who was casually ignoring it all was Midnight. She sniffed Walker out very quickly. She saw him trying to leave again and took to the air to catch up to him.
While she had been handling a random interaction with a few of the hatchlings, she had managed to help them find new places to learn within Genesis since they were all curious about different things. However, she felt that Walker was going to rush off again and she couldn’t let him just get away with that. She wasn’t going to miss this next adventure.
She loved helping the other younger dragons but she needed to see more. She wanted to be right beside him.
"Since you decided to chase down, I assu you are ready to follow to each bridge? I plan to try and speak with the true sages as I go since they will be the ones sending others to visit the world soon." Walker was sure that the true sages were watching or keeping so tabs on situations throughout the world. He knew that they wanted to make sure they could trust the world as a whole.
"Are we going in to the planes?" Midnight wanted to explore there too and knew that walker might end up going there to et the elental kings. She knew very well that this was sothing that would and needed to happen in the future.
"Not yet, I want to make sure that those they send to test the waters are safe. I have to complete a quest or two to make that happen. And having the help to do it would be more than welco." He blew a bit more wind mana toward Midnight making her feel a chill in the air. He couldn’t pat her head but she knew this was him asking her as family.
