It was barely a breath from when Walker stood up and began walking forward until the group in front of them froze. A few of those with better health and fewer injuries lowered their heads preparing to use physical force and their antlers as a weapon. However, As Alice showed herself and began humming softly, they relaxed slightly.
It wasn't the musical aspect of what Alice did that made them halt for a mont. It was the fact that the light mana gathering was soft and warm allowing them to understand that harm was not intended here in the first place. Just that alone wasn't enough though.
Walker was fairly intimidating to them since he was gathering more dense light mana than any of them could manage. On top of that he was allowing it to flow toward Alice as she sang, increasing the strength of the song overall. It ant that he could use that light mana much more violently if he so desired.
That was sothing that this race sensed innately, not just because they had strong light affinity. It was the sa feeling that prey would have when a predator wandered by unknowingly. That small twinge that said danger, be silent right now.
"We are travelers. We have co to explore and et your race. We saw the village and we defeated the white stalkers responsible for harming you. If you would allow us, we would like to help heal you and make an alliance for the future." Walker held up both hands showing he was not holding weapons and Alice did the sa. The others also showed themselves but they remained further back showing that they were rusting this new race.
Walker had avoided using the all around appraisal on them so that he would not appear rude. It seed that more and more he would et those with the senses or skills to notice he was looking in to them more deeply. It was rude but also could start things off on a bad foot which would not go well for the future relationship they might have with the Genesis alliance.
"What proof do you have that you have defeated those monsters?" The voice that spoke was surprisingly high pitched, it wasn't the voice of those few who stood up to face Walker and Alice as they had approached. It was soone hiding behind them. Not that it mattered who spoke, a leader was a leader as long as their people stood behind them for support. Anyone could fill the role if they earned the trust properly.
"This is." Walker started pulling the bodies of the light stalkers out of his multi dinsional storage over and over causing even so of those hiding back in the grass to stand up in shock. They had not expected that the vile monsters that had attacked them and hard their people to be dealt with. Let alone to be brought to them like this.
"We have no interest in taking or using the bodies for materials. You will need them to recover the strength of your people after this. So take them as a show of good faith that we are here to build a relationship." Walker also pointed to Alice who had started a song of healing with her full intent. "Alice is one of my closest allies and an explorer from my ho. She specializes in healing through song and will heal all of you whether or not you wish us to speak with you or not. We only wish to ensure that all of you are safe first and foremost."
Making it clear that they would help heal them without a guarantee of an alliance or not was also doing well in making them relax. However, when the sharper higher pitched voice spoke up again, it seed that an important question had been focused on. "Wjat would you gain from an alliance with us? We can see you are much further advanced than us by what you wear and the mana you wield."
Their leader, while still hidden, was smart. She was clearly keeping tabs on what they were in comparison to Walker's party.
"Where we co from, a palace called the world, my party has helped build a united and equal standing for multiple races. It is called the Genesis Alliance. Your ho, this light elental plane is separated from the greater light elental plane while you develop. A guardian of your plane has allowed us here to both help you and get the opportunity to form an alliance that you and us can benefit from once you are able to travel to our ho and us to yours."
"We can offer future trade, sharing in knowledge, and even new hos if need be. Nothing has to be written right now, but we can share what we have so that in ti, when you are able to, your people may co looking for us."
Knowing that it was still roughly twenty years before this race could even et them in Genesis was hard to say out loud. But giving them a good base for how Genesis would act when that ti ca was more than enough. Walker could only hope that he would be able to form a lasting bond for when the right ti would co.
"Then we, of the white stag race would like to accept your offer to speak. We have nothing to offer you yet, but we can share what we know." as the vice spoke out, a smaller and much younger mber of the white stag race stood. However, her white fur was cleaner and clever. She has a greater affinity with light mana and most likely that was the reason she was their leader in the first place.
"My na is Walker and I am the leader of my party. I am also one of the founders of the Genesis alliance. If there is anything you need to know please feel free to ask. The others I can introduce you all to once everyone is healed and safe." Walker also used his multi heal skill feeling that so of those he used the skill on that he couldn't properly see were well injured over what the multi heal skill could do.
There was a lot that they would have to speak about, but it seed that this young leader was in no way foolish. She was holding what appeared to be a sharped bone from a monster that their people had defeated. She was not leaving a single thing to risk in case the party was just tricking her. Not that it seed she believed that was the case.
When Walker saw the injuries, he realized that the white stag village had been hit much worse than what he expected. However, since he had not seen any bodies and these people had denser and tougher bones than what he imagined those light stalkers could easily eat, he felt that they had all managed to survive to this point. Simply put, they might not be able to fight off the light stalkers, but they were tough enough to flee.
That alone was a key point for any young race or species of monster. Sotis being able to survive was just the point that had to be made. It wasn't necessarily who was the best hunting it was all about managing to survive and live for another day. Being able to put forth the next generation safely.
If that could be done, there would not be an extinction of a race of species in any way.
"Alice, Su, I need you two to work together, this patient has damage to their leg from bite wounds. Rey, start preparing potions with light afifn ity only, they do not have the resistance to be able to handle all of our potions. If you have light nutrient potions, those would be good too." Gil and Onyx also moved in to be of help. Both fo them were standing in protection in case any monsters made their way over. Walker also noticed that Midnight had scouted ahead to ensure that there would be a warning of any groups of monsters that ca their way.
"Do you know of any other predators that may be in the area? Any other mbers of your race from other villages we need to worry about?" Walker was already focusing his healing skills on another of the white stag race who had a broken arm. Their leader just watched them with wide eyes.
Never in her life had she seen healers or anyone working this efficiently as if they had done it many tis. It was shocking to the point where she struggled to respond right away. But she also had seen how the party dropped their weapons when they began to help heal, it was a sign that they did not expect any harm to co to them while only three seed to be protecting everyone.
