"So you two got bored and just made a skill that you both share? and we are just able to walk around in it because it is basically a healing tent." Rey was trying to make sense of what she had seen Alice do. From the way that it looked, this was sothing a little more advanced than what Alice had told them at first.
"This is everything we would need for helping people injured out in the wilderness. Or even if we are helping a race in the Elental Planes. Your elental mana potions are here, the affinity potions." Su was impressed that Walker had had so many of the potions and salves that Rey made stored within his spatial storages.
This had been the topic they were stuck on for a while since the other details of Alice and Walker’s small trip had been spoken of quickly enough. Mostly because of the embarrassnt Alice felt, and because Alma had only been able to co and speak for a short while due to her own busy schedule.
"Rey! Help make this a little more stabilized. It’s a potion that was made to copy your affinity potion but instead is more like a fire mana potion instead of being a regular mana potion. I need soone to stabilize it since it isn-"
The appearance of Onyx broke their conversation but Rey leaped closer to him and moved her hands to capture the bottle of swirling liquid. The red and blue hues didn’t mix well but with her alchemy flas beginning to change the properties and temperature, the color started to ld in to a deep purple.
She appeared to have forgotten everything else around them and the fact that Onyx had appeared out of nowhere didn’t even surprise Rey. Su and Alice on the other hand were fairly shocked that he had rushed here.
"Who made this? Why were they trying to copy the affinity potions? Why did you rush here too quickly? What was the goal of making a mana potion and mixing it with my affinity potion? That would not have made sothing this dangerous."
The questions flowed from Rey since clearly safety was a focus here.
"A younger serpent under my care is infatuated with alchemy and thought it wise to ignore teaching from others. They mixed everything without care of hazard and the small fire they made is currently being handled. This potion was going to cause more damage if it exploded with the flas so I rushed it here using the shadow movent skill I have."
If there was anyone who could speedily solve the issue it was Rey, however, that didn’t an that she was always available for this sort of thing.
"I also want you to make a special potion that will handle the obsession of this foolish young one." Onyx made the shadows around him shiver and a slightly singed little black and white scaled serpent was left in the open. Its eyes focused on Rey’s alchemy flas before recoiling in fear of Rey herself.
From the looks of things, it had bothered her at so point too.
"Little thief who steals herbs without caring for them properly. I know you and know just how much trouble you are in. Su, Alice, I need to leave for a while." The sudden event and the fact that Onyx and Rey were leaving was just how things went for their lives. But with Rey and Onyx, the conversation grew more serious.
"From what I was told this is not the first ti they thought they were better than the masters working within my alchemy guild. Arrogance that causes problems. Theft that harms herbs and the potions and tools used. Then of course the fact that now they have wasted quite a bit of everything to make this nearly failed potion. You should be arrested at this rate."
"I have been notified of their problems. I believe that so harder punishnts would not be an issue, that is if there is a heavier hand that wishes to ensure that this happens?" The way that Onyx looked at her, Rey knew that he was hinting there was soone for the position.
"I can make new potions if I am given the chance-"
"You can cause problems if you are given the chance. Do you not realize that we are the leaders of Genesis and our respective areas of expertise? Rey is a person who brought together the alchemists and prevented unfair over priced sales of important potions for everyone within multiple kingdoms. She knows this industry and craft, but she also knows that it takes ti to learn it all properly. Safely."
Rey was impressed with how Onyx was handling this. It wasn’t just a serpent of his own race he was trying to protect, it was the safety of those around them. He was making sure that he did not lose soone while also making sure that they could properly take the passion so clearly shown to him and guide it toward the right path.
"Onyx is right, if you mixed the wrong herb or he did not remove that potion and bring it to , it would have resulted in an explosion causing damage and even fatalities. The potion when it reached needed my skills to calm it. While it would not have exploded without active flas nearby, the gases as it broke down would have caused poisoning in the direct area and needed purification and wind magic to handle."
She knew this all from her skills, the experiences she had gained over ti were enough to see all the traits within that sowhat failed potion. She also understood the massive lack of skill when combining a potion with another while also mixing a potion well out of the want to be alchemists’ league.
"I would say, if you are not arrested from your current antics, it would take you seventy three or eighty years to get to the level of an average alchemist. You are just that ignorant of alchemy and the thods of today’s age. You also can’t even begin to fathom exactly what else you might need to know as tis change. You will miss advancents putting you even further back. So master alchemists have discovered that they are not even close to being high tier alchemists with what we know today."
"But you think you can exceed everyone just throwing herbs and potions together? Well, you are a fool right now. You can learn from a few others who are pretty strict to get a hold of what you should know. If you can’t succeed then, you can be sent away by Onyx to wherever he believes you won’t harm anyone with your actions."
Now Onyx knew who Rey was thinking of.
So ti ago, a guard that Walker’s father had worked with suddenly had a few ideas when playing with the herbs he found walking the periter of the walls. As such, he tried to brew so tea with them mistaking an herb for another.
The result was obviously the guard passing out and nearly dying. Sothing to be expected from ignorance. Yet, from that experience, the guard began to find books and wished to change things. As such, those hard set rules and regulations that guards followed beca the sa with their alchemy knowledge.
The basics were law to them and so they were followed. Therefore creating the first guard to entirely change classes to beco an alchemist instructor. Their goal to prevent mistakes being their fuel.
The fact that he was originally a guard also ant that anyone who was brought to learn from him would be treated like a new guard recruit. Even better, he had skills from being a guard.
This ant he could easily detain and keep in line the more troubleso alchemists who needed a harsh lesson. It was perfect and slowly making the rounds as rumors of a scary teacher for young alchemists out there causing problems.
"You will be learning from a strong man who does not accept disobedience or failure. He will make sure you can be soone you are proud of, let alone Onyx. So be ready."
Onyx and Rey had walked the young serpent to the door of a side building attached to the alchemy Guild building. It was smaller but the sounds of shouted orders were heard from the outside.
"This is your chance to beco soone our race can be proud of. If you manage to exceed your new teacher’s expectations, you might just get to work with the experintal alchemy studies like others Remy has t." Onyx gave an approving nod to Rey to thank her a bit. He knew he would have to bring a few herbs in thanks later, but he needed her to help here since she had the connections.
