As Rey clenched her teeth feeling a weight drop on to her entire being, Walker was still carefully removing his control and weight from the fused fire elental plane.
The space had kept it in a smaller form which was amazing since he hadn’t been able to do sothing like that before. The only reason he had managed this now was because he had used the manas from the three fire elental planes mixing together.
He also understood that there was more to it now since it had mixed properly instead of simply rotating around one another. That mixed mana held three properties that allowed the flas to fluctuate and change color and purity depending on where they were within it.
aning that it was a different sort of elental plane. One that could form itself a center just like a smaller scale mirror of the overall fire elental plane.
’Triple fla elental plane- sealed
This elental plane had been in perfect balance being forgotten by the origin race mber who left it there after experinting with the mana within. The small potential seeds of herbs, plants, and even foundation for monsters to grow forgotten and left unprocessed for countless years.
After being discovered by a young origin race mber, the experintation led to it being forcefully fused and sealed in a smaller form which still staunched the growth potential. However, it was bound to a unique being that leaped the hurdle to beco another race. Because of this, the elental plane is now sharing mana slightly with that being causing changes to happen at the foundational level of the elental plane.
Due to this, the draconic aspects within the body of that being are going to greatly influence the elental plane as it develops. This will cause the blue, red, and purple flas to beco more defined and potentially give birth to more potential plants and monsters than previously believed by the origin race mber that discarded it.
There is also the higher chance using spatial mana and other unique skills could allow this smaller elental plane to be made in to an isolated elental plane after it is unsealed from being bound to the draconic being...’
Walker felt that this wealth of knowledge was hard to keep track of since it referenced the connections and sealing he had done related to the unique forms of fire mana within the fire elental plane.
Even more, it showed that when Walker had allowed it to be carried by Rey that the manas between the two were influencing one another.
That right there shouldn’t be happening because he had sealed the elental plane. He had even risked using the space mana displaced by the fire mana escaping to ensure that it was sealed. That has taken a lot more of his internal mana than he would like to admit. Yet, here he was wondering just how Rey and the elental plane started to influence one another.
He was even more confused and shocked seeing that the flas around Rey gained the purple and blue color that ca from the elental one. The red flas changed and beca deeper just like the alchemy fire that she and her partner, the grand fire spirit worked with.
Due to all of this, Rey was breathing heavily and showing the strain around her eyes and in the tensing of her muscles. The soft growl that ca out with every exhale was even more telling of what she was being put through.
Yet, Su and Walker didn’t make a single move to help her at all.
It wasn’t because they didn’t care. It was because they knew that Rey was loving this.
She was being challenged. She was being pushed. She was being influenced by sothing that put pressure on her entire being and that was what she wished to feel!
She had wanted to fight sothing strong because she felt that she hadn’t been challenged. Even in alchemy she has been making breakthroughs and stepping beyond the normal levels she had seen and learned. She was constantly pushing only to find that she didn’t have a major wall to break right now.
For soone like her who had always provided for others. Who has always strived to be better for those around her, she found herself at a loss. It made her question what she was doing wrong.
Hardship was supposed to forge soone. The challenge was supposed to refine soone. But she didn’t feel like she was growing and refining herself. She even felt like she was letting herself down just by staying still and not finding a challenge.
Looking at Walker and Rey slightly, Rey grinned and tried to take a step forward. The elental plane moving behind her, with her, seed to be the weight of worlds. However, she took a deeper breath and the flas around her body seed to settle slightly leaving a more draconic flaming form more solid than normal.
Her scales arms and shifted dragon talons appearing to be very defined compared to how they normally seed mild.
"This is a fight I can win. So just let keep moving." She growled out her challenge to herself. Walker and Su just stayed calm and saw that as Rey took steps and started to improve her movent that she was pushing herself and taking massive leaps forward.
What none of them realized was that as a spirit dragon, soone that had fused their body and soul entirely, the challenge of weight on body and soul was nourishing more and more for Rey now.
That pressure forced the lded body and soul to better mix. To better work as it needed to. While it ca with drawbacks that could lead to permanent physical and spiritual damage, this wasn’t the downside that everyone expected.
It also ant that by applying the right pressure and force that soone like Rey could use it to grow better. Could use it to better understand who and what they were. Find the way to greater strength and even achieve a better future for themselves as a whole.
Right this second, Rey was feeling the different flas through the mana from the elental plane. aning that she was changing her perception of fire mana without actively trying to delve in to what fire was as a whole. It was instinctual and even smooth despite the pressure.
A slight tinge of jealousy ca from Walker as he realized the pressure he had been under from the last instance had caused him to beco weaker. But Rey was under another kind of pressure pushing her to be stronger. It was overall too odd. Too strange. Too perfect for her.
It made him wonder if he had missed sothing before or if he just had to train in slightly different ways.
"Walker, Rey is asleep now." Su nudged him, they had been standing there for a couple of hours all in their own minds thinking and trying to understand more. Neither Rey herself or Walker had caught on to the fact that Rey fell asleep on her feet and that the fire elental plane was still sharing mana with her and changing slightly by the breath.
"You’re right, now I can use so buffing and healing skills on her so her body develops better. She really got lucky that her instincts told her to work on this sort of training. She is going to be a lot stronger and more understanding of who she is now."
" A little jealousy doesn’t hurt Walker. You are growing too, but Rey has been pretty stagnant lately. She had focused a lot on alchemy so she needed a chance like this to be able to break that ntal block. She didn’t realize she had held herself back too, you know?" With a little sigh Walker accepted that Su was right.
She was a voice of reason and could see so perspectives that he missed. But she also seed genuinely happy that Walker was keeping himself held back and even showed so jealousy. It ant that he had loosened up and was swallowing himself a chance to branch out more too.
That they were all growing in their own ways a better understanding themselves. The entire party was doing so, it was perfect. Exactly what they needed as they walked through the world as adults fully in charge of themselves and their own future.
Whether they had all stopped being kids sooner or later didn’t really matter. It had happened while they saved people and pursued a better future.
For the people they were now, they had to see that and recognize that they were able to challenge themselves in ways that others may never be able to do. It was all a matter of ti before they found the next great challenge for everyone they protected, so right now they needed to take advantage of this ti.
