"Information." Valeria repeated, in thought. "Perhaps a map."

"These cores!" Susie suddenly said, examining the remains while the others watched for more threats. "Look at them closely, look at these connection matrices. These were engraved upon, unlike the infiltrator bots from before. This must be to further empower these bots."

"What does that an?" Marcus asked. "Connection matrices? Engraved? What are we talking about?"

Susie explained. "What I an is that their mining operation is crucial to manufacture these machines. No wonder they infiltrated so deeply."

"Look..." Elara was shifting through charred papers on one of the desks that didn’t get destroyed. There were several objects lying around the floor and desks. Glacier fragnts in various stages of refinent, chanical components, and manuals written in a foreign language.

"They’re manufacturing an army," Jin said, taking hold of various docunts. "Look at these production schedules. They had hundreds of units planned."

"Not anymore." Lumi said firmly.

Susie also started gathering crucial evidence. "Entei is rather secretive of their technology, hopefully these docunts can help us understand!"

Connected to the room, they quickly found the production floor. It was staggering in scale. It consisted of a vast chamber, filled with assembly lines and construction apparatus. Partially completed bots hung from chains while robotic arms automatically installed components. At the far end, completed units stood in neat rows. There were at least fifty combat-ready machines awaiting activation.

"Back!" Elara suddenly exclaid, causing the entire group to jump backwards, expecting a sneak attack.

"..." Elara realized her words were a mistake, but she continued her job, pushing the poison coming out of the vents back to where they ca. "Sorry."

"Again!?" Jin angrily spat. "They tried to gas us again!?"

Valeria curtly replied. "It doesn’t hurt them to try."

"They keep trying!" Elara exclaid, mobilizing her magic once more. "Make it quick, all."

"As soon as the docunts are gathered, destroy everything." Lumi commanded. "Leave nothing functional."

"On it." Marcus put his wand out. "Fire Fang!" Fire was manifested which took a big bite out of one of the production lines.

Valeria also raised her blade, and imdiately sliced through a conveyor belt. This triggered everyone else to join in.

"Thunder Sweep!" "Thunder Crash!" "Thunder Sweep!" "Thunder Crash!" Jin proceeded to generate mass amounts of water, sending it to soak all systems whilst carrying electrons.

Despite the fact that they were already raiding the base, an alarm blaring, this wave of targeted destruction triggered yet another alarm. Now, two alarms were interlaced, drowning out all other sound.

"Shut up!" Zara hissed, throwing shuriken at the speakers to get them to stop blaring.

Just as they were finishing up, more defenders poured in. At a glance, it was obvious that they were nowhere near as dangerous as the previous bots. They consisted of a mix of human cultists, combat bots, and cyborgs.

They were humans with embedded crystals in them, used as human experints. They were so saturated with corruption they barely looked human anymore.

"Light Shower!" Lumi pierced through a line of them that were coming in.

Hah!

Nothing beats a penetrative spell for tagging enemies.

[EXP 91] [EXP 96] [EXP 103] [EXP 93] [EXP 96] [EXP 101]

The ragtag group was quickly destroyed. By chance, their bodies were spread around a large bulb coming out of the floor. It quickly caught Susie’s attention.

"Wait. Isn’t that...?" Susie got closer. "It is!"

She swiveled around it to an interface. "This terminal, it’s the master control for the assembly lines! Did we destroy it yet?"

She touched around for the power, nearly shocking herself, and found that despite their destruction of the facility, it could still turn on.

"How?" Zara whispered with her brows knitted. But her confusion didn’t stop her from doing her job, as she casually deflected a bullet that headed towards Susie.

She didn’t have to raise a second hand, as a swift arrow quickly claid the life of the henchn that had shot.

Susie worked quickly at the terminal. "I haven’t used one of these before!" Despite her words, her fingers were flying over the keyboard in a blur. "I’m being quick! I’m deleting everything! Even their backups, just in case!"

"How?" Lumi repeated what Zara said, but for a different reason. "Are you so good?"

Susie let out a smile and began rambling as she worked. "A bit hard to explain while working but I think I can do it. Well honestly all information systems use similar concepts to achieve their goals because the goal is similar. They use different ans to achieve the sa ideas to achieve the sa goals!"

"...right." Lumi nodded. Despite the explanation being confusing, he did understand her point.

"Done!" Susie announced. "And I’m downloading their production data, we can learn from their techniques!"

"Brilliant." Zara approved with a small nod as she sank poisoned blades into a cultist’s heart. "Sabotage that keeps giving."

"Great!" Susie stepped away from the console. "Now destroy it!"

Valeria swiftly sliced it in half, then Jin followed it up by flooding the internals.

Lumi then commanded. "Let’s go! To the command center, let’s obtain the intelligence files."

"Agreed!" Valeria responded. "We push deeper!"

They carved their way through the base’s defenders, following signs toward what had to be the command section.

"Wait, wait!" A Wings Henchman ca out from a corner with his arms up, empty of all weapons. "Please, I surrender!"

"Fire Fang!" Marcus called out, chomping through the man’s mid-section. As the man fell, several explosives fell from his coat, denoting as he hit the ground.

"H-he..." Susie was shocked. "Are they so insane they’d suicide bomb us!?"

Varleria gravely nodded. "Yes."

It was clear that soone was directing the defense, soone competent. Soone who was attempting to use useless, expendable resources to inflict as much damage as possible.

After several more attacks of similar nature, they barged into the command center.

They found soone waiting for them on a chair. A human man in an elaborate uniform, calmly feeding docunts into a burning barrel while screens around him displayed base schematics and defense positions. A plate near him was labeled. "Admiral Seven."
