He finally reached the spot where Lumi fell. True to logic, Lumi’s torso was half bisected, the two halves of his body barely connected.

Currway didn’t allow himself to idle. What if, what if he wasn’t dead? He snarled, and went in for the finisher.

Right before his blow landed...

Lumi’s figure disappeared.

"Damn..." Lumi reappeared behind a boulder. He imdiately took out his highest ranking health position and began to chug. He took the smallest glance at his HP.

[HP: 8/954]

He had been overconfident. He had focused so much on the fact that Currway was being beaten, that he had, for a second, overestimated his own strength. Things had almost gone catastrophically wrong.

Yes, Currway would die regardless of him being alive or not. But... if he died, how exactly was he supposed to manage the post-raid operations? Who would lead the players? What would happen to his reputation?

As soon as he downed three potions, he noticed that he still felt imnse pain from his body, and he frowned. He knew the exact problem.

[HP: 354/354]

[Grievous Wounds: Several harsh injuries could not be healed. Max HP lowered. Wait for natural healing, or use stronger healing thods.]

Lumi’s Convergence was ending. He felt the power draining away, he couldn’t waste it. He had maybe ten more seconds.

His eyes flickered. Hey, there was sothing new he could do.

Under Tornt, he had several commands locked behind INT requirents. Now, he had t the requirents. His skill now looked like this.

[Tornt - Convergence Skill: 20/20]

[Summon an orb of equilibrium at the targeted location. Range, cast ti, and mana cost scale with various stats.]

[Command Grab: Telekinetically grab the nearest Tornt Orb, or lifeform within appropriate weight-class and level

Recast: Throw the grabbed target towards the target location. Targets hit are slowed. Damage dealt will ignore 12% of defense.]

[Note: Can only be used while in Convergence.]

[Locked.]

[Command Push: 1000 Int Required.]

He used Command Grab, extending his magical will toward the Tornt orb that was still hovering above the battlefield. His mind wrapped around it like an invisible hand.

He threw it.

The orb shot forward, slamming into Currway’s chest. The impact drove the demon backward three steps, leaving deep impressions in the soft earth.

Convergence ended. Lumi shifted to Dark Mode now. Now, he had a dark, ominous aura slowly forming around him as his eyes turned nacing involuntarily.

From now on, using his Dark Spells would fill his Light Gauge, until he was in Convergence once more.

But as powerful as Void Sphere was...

In a flash, he teleported out.

Now further away from the demon, he needed to consider his approach carefully. Although Void Sphere was, in fact, his strongest Dark Spell, the fact remained that it was a spell that required concentration.

That is, he was unable to cast anything else while channeling Void Sphere. That would delay his teleportation, for he’d have to cancel Void Sphere then teleport.

Any delay in that ant instant death for him.

So for now, he stayed behind a tree, waiting for the right mont to act.

Slash.

Currway had just caught up to another warrior and killed them. With a swift motion, he threw the stolen weapon at a distance archer, which landed true and killed them.

The rush was gone.

He felt nothing.

He felt absolutely no exhilaration anymore. He used to find a thrill in murder. To savor the deaths of those too weak to fight back.

This battlefield had tons of humans. Though they had inflicted damage on him, the fact remained that they were weak insects incapable of posing a threat individually.

He killed yet another two archers by getting them, and then put an end to a magician as he leapt at them, straddling their head between his thighs and crushing her head like a waterlon.

It felt like nothing he did mattered.

Vice fired another arrow, this one striking his right knee, the one that already had two arrows embedded in it. The joint buckled slightly.

Ryan charged in with a new group of warriors. "Pincer from both sides!" Two groups of warriors attacked from opposite flanks simultaneously, coordinating their strikes.

At the sa exact ti, Hazy’s thieves struck from the shadows, targeting the wounds that were already bleeding. Though a few of them died, the attacks that made their ways through made the injuries worse as the poisoned blades slid through.

Boom! Currway slamd his tail against a few warriors. Yet, when they went tumbling across the floor and finally stopped, they were no longer instantly dying.

Lena took the opportunity to cast heal after heal, keeping the key fighters alive. "And who told you that you had my permission to die?!"

Sure, the continuous casts made her MP drop quickly, but that was a non-issue with money, sothing which stopped being an issue long, long ago. She drank potions every few casts, keeping her mana at manageable levels.

"Holy Arrows!" She fired at Currway’s back while he was focused on killing another thief.

The holy projectiles struck true, each one burning his flesh. He could only ignore the damage. Archers fired from the left and rear. Mages launched spells from elevated positions in the dead trees.

Within the chaos, he identified which important target would be easy to kill. A warrior who had been continuously tornting him.

Ryan.

He charged into the field of warriors.

Currway’s desperate charge was overwhelming. He had no desire to use such an exhausting skill again, but he had no choice.

"Beast... Instinct!" He began his dance through the air, slashing and destroying everything he could. Warriors flew in all directions like bowling pins, shields splintering, bones breaking, armor crumpling under the impact.

[Sally Waller has died]

[Defcon Beam has died]

[Neko Neko has died]

[Seal Seal has died]

[Ronald Black has died]

[Donald Bear has died]

[Marcus Inter has died]

He had mangled seven warriors in a single skill. Yet, he wasn’t satisfied. Where was that man...
