(Alaric’s POV)
"What’s with that strange lunch box you are carrying?" Brave’s question made halt my steps. I have totally forgotten about ’this thing’ I have brought back with .
My eyes flickered, but I kept my composure and replied with swift smoothness, "I was getting bored with having the hotel food and craving sothing else. So, I bought it for myself."
And with that, I treaded effortlessly towards my room and closed the door. My eyes darted to the colorful patterns, over the top receptacle, and only one thought struck in my mind, ’Why did I do that? Why did I even bring it with ? What was I thinking?’
After much contemplation, only one conclusion ca to my mind, ’Alex, it was your doing, right? Bring that human’s box back. I didn’t know you were seriously so~ .... mawwwwkish.’
’Mawkish? Who~ ... ~ .... Hahh? Seriously? Alaric~ ... Alaric~ .... *heavy sigh* sotis~ .... I really wonder why did the moon goddess paired with a coward like you,’ he spoke with a defiant, ugly tone, making irk.
’Ahhh? .... what did you say? I am a coward? The audacity~ ...’ I scoffed, ’From which angle?’ I confronted that foolish wolf of mine.
’E.V.E.R.Y~ ... From where I stand, every single thing about you~ .... reeks of your cowardice, Al. You just pretend to be macho, cool, virile, nonchalant and whatnot. But, in reality~ ... your actions~ .... They actually make you a craven, Al. Go ahead and deny everything I have said. Do it all you want. But~ ... that’s your reality, Al. That’s what you are....,’ Alex started his verbal vomit.
’I don’t want an opinion from a cloying fur head like you, Alex. Get lost,’ I snapped at him. He has been getting on my nerves, like li~fuck~terally. I get this feeling that he has a weird kink to piss off. He has been relishing this absurdity.
Alex didn’t stop there and kept on rambling, ’Hahahaha~ ... I don’t even feel offended now. Just sorry for you, Al. If you don’t act according to what your heart desires and keep being so headstrong and as stubborn as a mule, you are surely going to miss the last bus. And please~ .... I would appreciate it if you could use better wordings like lovesick or lovelorn. What’s with the mawkish and cloying? Such degrading slangs. Yuck.’
’I said~ .... Get~ lost~,’ I shut him off at the back of my mind, blocking him completely.
Because of this wolf I am stuck with for a lifeti, I am starting to lose control of my mind and at tis, myself. He is getting bolder day by day, doing things on his own accord. Forgetting about my repeated warnings.
Like seriously~ .... I am about to lose my fucking mind. This conflict, this headbutting, all this happened since the day that girl entered my peaceful life. She really disrupted it all.
Discarding the box on the table, I made my way to freshen up. The scent of the hospital’s disinfectants, filthy human beings’ body odour, and all sorts of ugly slls were lingering on , as if they were my second skin. I was making my stomach churn. A warm bath would definitely ease up.

(Author’s POV)
The mont Alaric stepped out of the shower, freshly bathed, in a bathrobe, his movent ceased. His eyes narrowed at the scene as he questioned, "Nora, what are you doing in my room?"
Nora, who was settled on the couch, was waiting for him, but her eyes were stuck on the unique box. She counter questioned, "Brother Al, where did you get this lunchbox from?"
Straightening his posture, Alaric sauntered his way towards his sister, comnting, "I bought it."
"You~ ..." she pointed towards Alaric with a flicker of surprise, "Bought this?" then to the sealed box.
"Can’t I?" Alaric smiled and replied casually.
"Of course, you can. It’s just, it doesn’t suit you," her tone turned incredulous. "Plus~ .... this~ .... I feel like I have seen this one before," Nora comnted, her eyes zeroing in on the container as she spun it around.
Alaric, who was looking at himself in the mirror, could see his body getting stiff and Nora’s doubtful reflection. Resuming to tousle his damp hair, he remarked, "You must have seen it at so shop. I heard these kinds are quite common among humans."
Nora didn’t think much about it and asked, "Can I have so? I want to try so of Esteria’s delicacies."
"Sure, go ahead," Alaric surely won’t be able to decline Nora.
After getting his green signal, she waited no longer and unlatched the containers one by one.
Seeing what was inside, Nora chuckled and asked, "Hehhe~ .... Did you really order this for yourself? Or was there a mix up?"
"Ehh? What?" Alaric didn’t understand her aning.
"I was under the impression you didn’t like lentils, Brother Al. Plus~ ... plain porridge and egg lemon soup to top it off. When did you start liking such light als~ .... or~ .... are you sick?" she asked, this ti with concern.
Alaric pursed his lips, squeezing his eyes shut for a brief mont. It slipped his mind that this box was for the patient, Fabian Stephens. Thinking about him and how comfortable Myra was around him made his heart itch.
But he quickly got back to his groove, dispersed all the nonsense and then said, his voice remained as cool as a cucumber, "You are right~ .... There must be so mix up. I will give them a call."
Nora shook her head and spoke, "Now that it is already here. Let’s just eat this. These dishes might not sound delectable, but they turn out to be really good. Let heat these first," She excitedly got up from her place and went to the kitchenette.
"You can eat those. I don’t feel like having them," he remarked.
Soon, the rich, inviting aroma wafted off from the dishes, filling the entire room. Even Alaric’s stomach growled at the fragrance.
With sharp senses, Nora heard and giggled, "Don’t be stubborn, brother. Co and have so," she plated the dishes articulately.
’Stubborn ... again,’ Alaric scoffed internally, frustratingly, but took a seat opposite Nora, nevertheless.
