(Author’s POV)

"Yelena, your grandmother must be jetlagged, that’s why she is being a bit sensitive. Don’t mind her words," Garry sighed as he tried to soothe the tense atmosphere.

Oliver, as if on cue, asked, his hands extended, "Ms. Yates, please give your car keys. I will drive from here."

"Here, Secretary Grey," Yelena, at once, handed it over to him as Oliver loaded their luggage in the car and unlatched the rear car door for his masters, gesturing for them to get inside.

Diana didn’t look at her husband or her granddaughter and haughtily got inside the vehicle. Garry followed her as well, shaking his head. Oliver then repeated the sa action with the passenger door as Yelena hopped in as well. At last, he took the wheel as they drove away.

Prior to this, Yelena was excited as well as anxious because of her grandparents’ visit. But she and her grandmother have already gotten off to the worst start possible, so all her exhilaration was doused by Diana’s icy, cold, biting words. She kept quiet most of the ti, and only when Secretary Oliver Grey asked her, his tone polite and formal yet filled with genuine concern, "Young miss~ .... did sothing happen? You seem extrely quiet."

Garry added as well, "Yes, Yelena, you are being way too reticent. Tell us, what had happened?"

Yelena snapped out of her zoned out state and said, "No, grandpa, Secretary Grey, I am totally fine. I was just thinking about so school stuff. You tell , how are mom and dad doing? I haven’t been able to talk to them at all."

"Just as always, Liliana has been busy giving guest lectures and doing her research work, while that father of yours, Jeffery, he is always away, teaching underprivileged children and won. Nothing new about them," Garry remarked.

"Tskkkk~ ... what utterly useless thing to do. Neither of them is doing what they are supposed to do. Instead, they are busy with absolutely nonsensical charity work. Only Henry is the sane one left," Diana comnted. While ntioning her youngest son, she glanced at Yelena with a disdainful look, whose face was lowered and drained of color at the ntion of his notorious uncle.

Garry sternly voiced, "Huhh~ .... you don’t be partial towards him. That good for nothing brat Henry, he is more troublemaker than anyone else in our entire family. He takes no responsibility whatsoever and is busy playing and drinking, emptying my purse all day long. What good is he?"

"He is not wasting that money on empty, worthless charity like others. He is doing all that for the family business. Entertaining the clients is also part of the business negotiation," Diana spat back.

"Okay~ .... Okay~ .... I lose, you win. Whenever that godforsaken brat is being talked about, you are always there to defend him relentlessly. I don’t want to get into this again ...." Garry said tiredly. Their youngest son has been the point of distress between the couple.

Diana always shielded him whenever, wherever and however. Regardless, he was at fault or not, where ninety nine percent of the ti he was. And Garry really hated this thing.

He then shifted his attention to Yelena and asked, "Yelena, how are the Miracles faring? Did they take care of you properly?"

"They have been doing very well. In fact, Uncle William and Aunt Sandra, they have been like a rock, always looking after , feeding with delicious food," there was a zing in Yelena’s voice as she told Garry about them.

"And what about their daughters? Have they adjusted well to the place?" Garry queried, though his expression was a bit unnatural.

"Myra and Wendy have been doing good. Myra has been at the top in all her subjects here as well. The professors, they keep on praising her all the ti. Although there are so issues, but nothing that can’t be fixed," the last line was said with a muffled voice that none of them heard clearly. She then went on, "And Wendy, she is now a fresher at Red Stone too, securing a partial scholarship. Isn’t that amazing?" She said it with a hint of pride in her voice.

"Good~ ... that’s a good thing," Garry repeated, deep in thought.

Oliver followed the GPS navigation, and within forty minutes, they were at their destination. The Crown Opulence.

At about the sa ti, Myra had just stepped inside the Obsidian Space, the poshest fine dining place with sophisticated ambience and impeccable personalized services. It was located on the thirty fifth floor of the hotel, the Crown Opulence.

Just standing at the entrance, she couldn’t help but marvel at the elegant décor with a crystalized chandelier illuminating the reception area. The refined interior and lavish vibes were making her a tad bit jittery as well.

Adjusting her dress, she stepped forward. With a professional tone and kind smile, the receptionist asked, "Good Evening ma’am, how may I help you?"

"Good Evening~ .... Ummm~ .... There is a dinner reservation under Mr. and Mrs. Garcia," Myra questioned, feeling a bit awkward.

"Are you Ms. Myra Miracle?" the person asked for confirmation.

"Ummm~ ... yes~ ...." She answered.

"Mrs. Garcia had already inford us about your arrival. Please, ma’am, co this way," the kind staff mber gestured for Myra to follow. She fidgetly followed her. The more they walked, the more Myra felt out of place.

The sound of the extrely famous, tiless classic composition, Henry Mancini’s Moon River, was being perford live on a grand white and transparent piano in the otherwise black and gold interior, accompanied by a saxophone. That was the only thing soothing Myra’s nerves.

"Ma’am, we are here~ ...." the staff person said, the politeness plastered on her face. Myra noticed she had taken her to a different place. She had expected it to be a normal dinner in the open seating area, but Amy had reserved a private room instead.

Nevertheless, she took a few deep breaths and stepped inside, controlling her nerves.
