(Author’s POV)
’OUR MATE’S HERE,’ Drey’s voice erupted as Myra’s enchanting scent infiltrated Dion’s nostrils from a distance. He imdiately let go of Elisa’s face and moved to the other side. Elisa, though offended a little, sneered in her mind. The goal she wanted to achieve was now just a step away. ’You can step as far away as you want. Even try going to the other side of the world. But soon, very soon, you will be right here~ .... Playing in my hands, crushed in my clutches.’ A coy smile played on her lips.
Alaric’s reaction was more or less the sa. He was busy on a work call when Alex sniffed Myra’s clean, fruity, flowery scent. "I am busy now. Send the report. I will review it first," saying this, he didn’t let the other person finish and just ended the call, his eyes fixated on the main door, as he took a big whiff to get her scent once again. ’It is divine, our mate’s scent,’ Alex purred inside him.
Elio mumbled, his voice soft, his eyes full of anticipation, "She’s here." Wendy, who was right beside him, caught his words and asked, "Who is here?" Without flinching, Elio said, "Your sister has arrived."
Wendy imdiately went towards the window, drew the curtain and saw Myra standing outside the gate, talking with Mrs. Johnson. She then said to everyone, "Sister is here. Everyone, get ready." She then glanced at Elio, a confused look on her face. She walked back to him and asked, whispering, "How did you even know?"
He pointed to his ear and remarked, "I have good hearing. I heard the car halt." He then quickly changed the topic, "Umm~ ... Wendy, your mother still hasn’t co out. Why don’t you go inside and call her? Myra and your father will be coming in soon."
"Holy shi~ .... Ohh yeah, I forgot," Wendy did an awkward laugh and then scurried inside to call Sandra.
At the sa ti, Brave ca out of the kitchen, still wearing the apron. Of course, he, too, had sniffed Myra’s sll and didn’t want to miss the mont. Raw has been feeling giddy and rolling around since morning. After so many days, he was finally going to see his mate again.
Wendy brought Sandra just in ti as everyone waited for the door to open any second. Fabian was standing with Yelena, who held a confetti popper in her hands, ready to twist it. With a finger on her lips, she gestured to everyone to keep pin-drop silence. Everyone obliged.
Next, Wendy walked towards the switch and closed the light, leaving the room cloaked in obscurity. She resud her place beside Elio.
Soon, they heard footsteps getting closer and closer. Yelena steadied her hand when she heard the sound of the doorknob clicking.

(Myra’s POV)
’Who were those n? Were they sent by Nigel and the Long family, or were they sent by soone else? Don’t tell ~ .... they weren’t humans,’ my mind spiralled after hearing Riya ma’am’s revelation. Even those kidnappers, their teeth, no~ .... their sharp fangs, those guys were definitely not humans. But what exactly were they?
Soone is aiming for my family and . The reason I decided to flee from Damona, the thing I dreaded the most, it was all happening once again. ’I need to ask Mrs. Johnson for more details. I will check the nearby security caras as well. It will definitely give so clues.’
My mind was occupied by these thoughts as I swirled the door handle and took half a step inside. Sothing odd struck at that mont.
The living room’s lights were completely off, which made anxious. It was dayti, so why were the lights off? It took back to that night instantly. My body started to shake as I gripped the hem of my dress, creasing it. ’This is nothing, Myra. It must be because of a power failure. Relax, this is your ho. Dad is also here. Nothing will happen to you. Calm down, calm down,’ I repeated these words in my head, and mustered my courage to enter the room.
As my finger half pressed the switch on, a loud, bursting sound, followed by multiple horn noises, reverberated. I couldn’t help but scream, "AAAAAAaaaaaaaa~~~~~~~ ...." I could feel my soul leaving my body as I crouched down, my hands covering my ears. A tinnitus-like sensation buzzed in my ears.

(Author’s POV)
"One~ two~ three~ ...*party popper smacking sound* WELCO HO, MYr~ ...." Everyone cheered, but their words were cut short by Myra’s sudden piercing shriek, "AAAAAAaaaaaaaa~~~~." She scread at the top of her lungs and hunkered down on the floor, covering both her ears.
"MYRA~~~" Sandra couldn’t help but yelp as William quickly switched on the lights, and the room returned to complete brightness. When they looked at the scene, everyone was left stunned.
Myra was surrounded by the Everests brothers as well as Fabian. Not even a fraction of a second went by after her abrupt yelp when the Everests’ brothers leapt towards her, leaving everything behind, without a care. Thankfully, the room was quite dark, so no one saw them moving.
Although out of all of them, Fabian was the closest to reach Myra, but at the mont, Dion had beaten everyone to it. He was the first one to reach her.
Now, he was squatting down, holding Myra in his arms, as she shook like a leaf. He stroked her back comfortingly, murmuring words of assurance to her, "Hey, Myra~h. Relax. It’s alright~ ... ummm~ ... it’s alright. You are fine. Absolutely safe and sound. You are at your ho with your family. Look around, everyone is here for you. I am here for you. I won’t~ .... we won’t let anything happen to you."
His gentle voice, his soothing tone, doubled with his power, worked like a charm on her nerves. Slowly yet gradually, Myra could feel the jittery feeling subside. She dared to raise her head and look around. Through her bloodshot eyes, she saw everyone staring at her with utter concern.
When her eyes landed on her mother, Sandra seed to be on the verge of tearing up. She then saw the gold and green balloons hanging from the ceiling, the bold letter banner reading, WELCO. Seeing all this, a heavy lump settled in her throat.
"Let help you up," Dion assisted her to her feet.
Sandra imdiately rushed towards her, taking Myra into her embrace. She caressed her hair and asked, "My baby, wh~ .... are you feeling okay?"
