(Author’s POV)
Alaric banged his hand on the table as a large crack appeared, and soon it broke into two halves. All the contents placed on it toppled down, scattering on the floor, disarraying the room. But none of that mattered. His mind was stuck on the last image on his phone and the pinned information with it. "WHAT? Garry Yates was in Kimberg when Nora was kidnapped?" He repeated, disbelief clear in his eyes, which slowly started to bubble into fury.
Though the image was out of focus, knowing Shade, his most trusted subordinate, he wasn’t the one to make mistakes. That person in the image has to be Garry Yates. ’Can it be just a coincidence?’ he said.
To which Alex replied, ’Such a coincidence is highly unlikely, Al. Garry’s confird involvent with not just the vampire elder Brian Tape but also with Clent Sanders. His past connections with the underground syndicate network. And his presence in Kimberg when Nora and the other girl were kidnapped from the hospital. It all points to only one conclusion. Twenty one years ago, on 16th October, the day Elio and Nora were born, it was Garry Yates who ran away with Nora and the other girl.’ Alex said with absolute surety. ’At least, he was definitely involved~ .... I am sure of that. That’s why Nora was found in Damona, a place we had no connection with.’
Alaric’s jaw tightened, his fists clenched, turning his knuckles as white as paper, "THAT SON OF A BASTARD. THAT WRETCH PIECE OF SHIT~ .... I will rip him apart and hack him to bits and pieces with my~ .... own damn claws, if he had even a slight part in the abduction."
"I • Will • Destroy • That • Fucking • Human." Alaric’s eyes were burning charcoal. The reason why he resented all human beings was the scoundrel who kidnapped his sister. The one who stole his sister, to take her away, can be this bastard. There is a high probability that because of this fucker, the one and only Lycan princess had to spend twenty years of her life suffering for familial love. Thinking all this, he wasn’t able to contain his rage. ’I am not going to let him go like this. I want answers. If~ .... if that wretched fucking human had dared to do that, he would be paying for it. Big Ti. I won’t let him off.’
Without taking the door, he recklessly jumped out of the window. He was ready to shift in his wolf form, to catch Garry and beat the shit out of him. He was consud by the need to know the truth. His eyes were shrouded with blood and vengeance for the injustice his sister had tolerated over the years.
But Alex, the wolf, had sohow maintained his sanity. He said sothing that made Alaric halt his steps, ’Wait, Al~ .... about the other infant girl, who got taken away in the fiasco, wasn’t that our mate — the child of Alia Clinton. We can confront that son of bitch afterwards. But first, we need to warn mate about him. We need to tell Myra that she has to keep her distance from that man. That he is a dangerous person. We need to alert her.’
Alaric’s eyes trembled. The thought of Myra being in danger was dreadfully suffocating. The previous few incidents where she narrowly escaped death flashed before his very eyes, and his heart rate started to descend rapidly. The abnormal feeling was wracking him from inside.
He imdiately turned around and marched towards the housing area. His thoughts were ssy, chaotic. But before he could make it to Myra’s house, his eyes caught sothing. He stopped midway, and his eyes widened with utter shock.
At so distance, his twin, Brave and Myra, were standing, face to face. They were in the center of a flowery garden filled with dark, vibrant, blood red peonies. The moonlight shining on the two was dazzlingly blinding.
He could clearly see their actions~ ... they seed to be having an intense conversation, but oddly enough, he wasn’t able to hear a single damn word. Even with his werewolf abilities. ’Don’t tell , did Brave~ ....’
’Rave has cast a sound barrier around them?’ Alex spoke, growling inside, confirming Alaric’s doubts. ’Why? Why would he do that? What are they talking about?’
Their bodies were pressed close, way too close. Even the surrounding air was having a hard ti passing between them. The two of them looked like they were part of a painting.
It made Alaric as well as his wolf’s blood boil. It was piercing his eyes. He was ready to barge in on their conversation, to break them apart. But just when he was about to take a step forward, what he saw made him as still as a statue. In that mont, it felt like soone had ordered a death penalty for him.
Myra stood on her toes, her eyes closed, her face crimson, as her moist, slightly puckered lips were ready to et Brave’s. In that mont, Alaric’s mind spiralled. He could not believe what the heck he was seeing.
Inside him, Alex was ready to co to the surface, ’She is our mate, Al. Myra Miracle is our fucking mate.’ He roared. The view of seeing his mate and his twin together wasn’t just an eyesore, but it was horrifying, a nightmare, a total disaster.
But then he saw Brave covering her mouth with her hand, his actions gentle. Though Alaric’s hands were still clasped in an iron fisted grip, he kept himself well hidden behind a tree, ’Brave would never do sothing like this with the hu~ ....’
His words were left cut short when he noticed Brave saying sothing to her; his eyes were full of affection. He then twirled his finger around a lock of Myra’s hazel waves and kissed it. The tenderness in his eyes, the sheer warmth, the emotion~ .... it resembled the ti whenever Brave was with his forr mate, Hannah Elingworth.
’NOOOOO~ .... She is ours~ .... Myra Miracle is our mate, and I won’t let anyone take her away from us,’ Alex scread inside him.
