Li Zheng opened his eyes, and Mirel approached with concern and asked, "What just happened?"
Yan Jinjin moved too fast, Mirel only saw a golden light plunge into Li Zheng’s forehead, but she didn’t clearly see the true nature of that golden light.
"Nothing, just a little guy acting presumptuously." Li Zheng felt a bit helpless at the mont. He released Yan Jinjin from the Dark Realm and asked, "What were you thinking, trying to seize my consciousness?"
After leaving the Dark Realm, the effectiveness of the contract sharply diminished, and Yan Jinjin’s eyes regained their gleam.
He shuddered and returned to himself, greatly alard: "I was disrespectful, please punish !"
No!
He roared inwardly, that’s not what I wanted to say!
This person is indeed not an Immortal but a major villain!
Even daring to learn the Forbidden Skill Soul Control Technique, the villain truly is reckless!
"Is this the guy who just ran into your head?" Mirel curiously observed for a mont, questioning, "He looks like a highly condensed Spiritual Body, and... seems even sturdier than the joints we managed to create."
She asked Li Zheng, "Is it similar to your Spiritual Body?"
Li Zheng absent-mindedly nodded, "Hmm, almost identical."
At this mont, his attention once again shifted to the Dark Realm. The Contract Rune that Yan Jinjin had just depicted unexpectedly lit up, emitting a high temperature that could be clearly felt by the Spiritual Body.
He had a premonition that if he didn’t stop it, this Contract Rune would be destroyed by the heat.
"Yan Jinjin!" Li Zheng looked indifferently at the little golden figure, softly saying, "I gave you a way out, but you refuse, don’t bla for being unkind!"
Yan Jinjin shivered inwardly and imdiately dispelled the power he tried to use to break free from the contract, saying dejectedly, "Thank you for not killing ."
Li Zheng’s eyes turned cold, releasing Spiritual Power to form a needle, forcefully pricking Yan Jinjin’s tiny hand.
Although Yan Jinjin only retained his Nascent Soul form, he still possessed nearly all the normal human sensations, and this sting caused his entire body to tremble. If not for lacking a physical body, his back would surely be drenched in cold sweat.
"This is a warning; if you dare to offend again next ti, I won’t go easy on you!" Li Zheng shouted sternly, "Do you understand?"
Yan Jinjin acted without consideration when he appeared, attempting to seize Li Zheng’s consciousness, showing his flawed character. Thus, Li Zheng had no qualms about being harsh with him.
If it weren’t for the secrets Yan Jinjin still held, Li Zheng in his current temperant would have crushed him the mont his possession attempt failed.
"I understand... I understand!" Yan Jinjin nodded repeatedly, deeply regretting his actions.
Despite not understanding the aning of Immortal Rune, he rashly attempted to depict it, falling right into the other’s trap; it was nothing but greed leading to this fate.
The main issue was Yan Jinjin’s precarious state now; without a physical body, his Nascent Soul strength sharply decreased. If encountered by other cultivators, let alone Golden Core Stage ones, even those at the Core Formation Stage could capture and refine him.
A refined Nascent Soul is considered a great enhancent, capable of accelerating other cultivators’ Core Formation and Breaking the Pill.
Therefore, any Nascent Soul without a physical body would find ways to hide, never showing up lightly, not even trusting their closest kin.
To avoid the fate of being refined, these Nascent Souls seek ways to beco Soldier Dissolving Immortals.
Unfortunately, such thods are extrely rare, only comprehended in certain great beings’ abodes or phenona naturally occurring between Heaven and Earth, without a substantial cultivation technique passed down.
In other words, there are nurous Nascent Soul cultivators, many fail in Crossing the Tribulation and opt for Soldier Resolution, but those forming a Loose Immortal body are exceedingly rare, almost like mythical creatures.
"Let make a deal with you," Li Zheng discerned Yan Jinjin’s thoughts and said indifferently, "If you follow as your master from now on and assist in researching Spiritual Bodies... that is, key points of Nascent Souls, I might help you forge a physical body when given the opportunity."
"Forge a physical body?"
Yan Jinjin instinctively didn’t believe it, having already suffered once; how could he fall twice in the sa spot? Thus, despite the contract constraints, he still had doubts concerning Li Zheng.
"That requires genuine Immortal thods; can you do it?"
"I can’t, but soone can."
Li Zheng smiled slightly, taking out the Inscription Card to send a ssage to the Terminal, "I’ve got sothing; take to the Central Hub!"
Then, with a wave, he enveloped Yan Jinjin, stepping forward to the Central Hub.
The Terminal seed in a bad mood, impatiently saying, "What do you want again? I’m at a critical stage in my research and need to keep an eye on it. If it fails, are you going to take responsibility?"
"What experint is so important? ...Never mind what experint it is, put it aside and look at sothing interesting." Li Zheng opened his hand, releasing Yan Jinjin.
"What is this?"
"What is this?"
The Terminal and Yan Jinjin simultaneously pointed at each other, perplexed, "It can talk!?"
"Nascent Soul?" The Terminal recalled a term.
"Artifact Spirit?" Yan Jinjin similarly used a term he understood to describe the Terminal.
"Eh?" Yan Jinjin’s expression suddenly shifted, followed by extre astonishnt. He suddenly turned to Li Zheng, "This Artifact Spirit looks exactly like the master; is it the master’s Magical Treasure?"
Moreover, the master clearly has his own appearance, so why did I just see my own person on his Primordial Spirit?"
Yan Jinjin murmured, recalling a rumor he heard during early cultivation.
It was said so people possessed special Physiques in the world, often allowing them to advance rapidly in the path of cultivation, shining brightly.
Among them, one Physique stood out above the rest, compatible with any cultivation technique, eventually creating a Primordial Spirit resembling a mirror, reflecting others’ appearances.
This Physique was called: Formless Body!
Rumor had it that the Formless Body was favored by Heavenly Dao; as long as one overca hardships during cultivation, they were destined to ascend to the Immortal Realm as a prodigy!
"Did I almost possess a Formless Body?" Yan Jinjin murmured, filled with discontent, "Why? Why is he so strong? Formless Body! Formless Body!!!"
The Contract Rune started heating up again; Li Zheng knew Yan Jinjin undoubtedly harbored rebellious intentions, hence he imdiately condensed Spiritual Power into a palm and slapped him hard on his face, waking him.
Yan Jinjin held his face, shuddered, and quickly suppressed the inappropriate thoughts in his mind, muttering silently.
"Did you get this funny guy from a box?" The Terminal observed for a mont, "Did you interrogate him? Where is he from?"
"I asked, this guy is illiterate and doesn’t even understand the concepts of planet and universe." Li Zheng explained briefly and said, "I suspect he is not a sentient race from this universe."
"He definitely isn’t!" The Terminal confidently stated, "Because Blue Star people are the last surviving sentient race in this universe; if they are annihilated, this universe is entirely dood, with survivors of all races having no choice but to linger in Matrix and Outer City, awaiting the arrival of complete destruction."
