Staying here and daydreaming isn’t a solution. I can only run around to look, maybe I might find sothing to eat as an insect while on the road.
In the darkness, Li Zheng carefully climbed down from a rock, landed on a soft layer of dead leaves, and started crawling in a random direction.
His antennae, like radars, capturing so substances in the air, transmitting them to the depths of Li Zheng’s soul.
Gradually, Li Zheng realized that even on such a black night, he could rely on his two antennae to distinguish if there were obstacles ahead, proceeding without any hindrance.
Crawling all the way, swinging his antennae around.
Finally, a peculiar substance appeared in the air, and Li Zheng instantly discerned that it was sothing edible that emanated from that.
"Food!"
Li Zheng was overjoyed, hastening his pace towards that direction. However, the distance seed a bit far; after crawling for about ten minutes, Li Zheng still hadn’t found a trace of the food.
Slowing down gradually, Li Zheng paced back and forth a few steps, confirming that he had reached the center from where the peculiar substance was emanating.
"Where is it? Where’s the food?"
Li Zheng circled the center several tis, searching the ground thoroughly, yet he couldn’t find the food.
At this mont, hunger was becoming increasingly intense, harshly tornting his nerves. Suddenly, he beca sowhat irritable.
"MMP! So hungry! Where’s the food? The sll is obviously emanating from here, why can’t I find it?!" Li Zheng used the hard shell on his head to nudge the dead leaves on the ground, suddenly a thought occurred to him, "The ground has been searched, and no trace of food was found; could it be buried beneath the dead leaves?"
Without further thought, Li Zheng imdiately started to act.
The hard shell on his head, like a shovel, cooperated with his powerful front legs, quickly dug a small trench on the ground.
As the dead leaves were overturned, the scent of the food in the air beca more intense, stimulating his hunger even more intensely.
Li Zheng moved the ground increasingly violently, and just as he was about to be driven mad by hunger, a spherical object was pushed out from the pile of dead leaves.
"Found it, this is it!"
Li Zheng was overjoyed, in his perception, the sphere was very "distinctive," even though the surroundings were pitch black, he could accurately pinpoint it.
Quickly crawling over, he only discovered upon getting closer that this sphere was twice the size of his body.

The taste of the food wasn’t as good as he imagined, instead, it was sowhat unpalatable.

As long as it’s edible!
Filling the stomach is the most important thing!
Li Zheng put the taste out of his mind and gnawed away at the sphere, and in no ti, the sphere beca an irregular shape.
The feeling of hunger dissipated, Li Zheng lay beside the food, fully satisfied.
If it weren’t for this insect body being unable to speak, he might have already started moaning.
There’s still about two-thirds of the food left, enough for him to eat two more als like this. This was beyond his expectations.
"Hmm, I’ve eaten my fill and feel a bit sleepy. I should rest first, wait until daylight to look for a water source."
Li Zheng got up, dug a hole in the layer of dead leaves, pushed the remaining food in, and buried it before burrowing into the nearby dead leaves.
In no ti, he fell into a deep sleep.
