As usual, ignoring the nonsense from Prelis’ Eye, Li Zheng set down the little Sakura he was holding and grasped the stone box lid with both hands.
"Thud!"
With a light exertion of his arms, the seemingly heavy box lid turned out to be unexpectedly light. With just a slight flick, it opened to the limit and swung back to hit the altar with a dull sound.
Bending over to look into the box, Li Zheng was montarily dazzled by its contents: "Wow! So many Power Cores!"
The box was filled with round Power Cores of various sizes, ranging from Black Iron to Silver Level.
"One, two, three..."
Li Zheng counted them, ultimately collecting twelve Black Iron Level Power Cores, eight Bronze Level, and three Silver Level.
"Speaking of which, ever since teaming up with Phoenix Mountain yesterday, am I finally moving from bad luck to a lucky streak?"
This was the first ti Li Zheng obtained Power Cores through legitimate ans during exploration, and the quantity was quite considerable.

After a mont of indecision, Li Zheng swiped the card at the entrance of the Gold Level creature’s room.

Li quickly dashed to the front of the Scale Crow Giant Lizard, noticing its eyelids twitch, seemingly sensing the commotion, nearly waking up.
"Now!"
Li Zheng shouted, thrusting the spear straight, aiming directly at the Scale Crow Giant Lizard’s forehead, piercing right through.
"Puff!"
"Roar~"
The spear pierced through flesh and bone, reaching just a whisker away from the brain, the pain instantly awakening it.
With a painful roar, the Scale Crow Giant Lizard jerked its head, following the thrust’s force, neutralizing Li Zheng’s attack.
With the spear embedded in bone, Li Zheng couldn’t pull it out quickly, letting go as the Scale Crow Giant Lizard moved.
"Gold Level creature bones are really tough. If it was a Silver Level, when it shook its head earlier, I might have attempted to pry its skull open directly."
"Damn it!"
Missing the kill, Li Zheng’s expression slightly changed, pulling out the Desert Eagle, raising his hand to fire two vibrant blue bullets, also imbued with the Ice Elent, towards the creature’s eyes.
"Roar!"
"Snap!"
The Scale Crow Giant Lizard abruptly turned and whipped its tail, the strong and powerful tail creating afterimages, swatting the bullets off course, sending them into the shadows of the cave.

The two bullets, possibly hitting the cave wall, made soft sounds.
"Retreat!"
Both the Desert Eagle and Snake Grass Needle only being Bronze Level items were starting to struggle against the Gold Level creature.
Yesterday, against the Three-headed Ghost Lion, the few Snake Grass Needles that lacked genetic ability attachnt were even shattered by a single lion’s roar.
This ti, the Scale Crow Giant Lizard even swatted away the ability-attached bullets with its tail.
A two-ter-long spear stuck in its head, the wound frozen by the Ice Attachnt, causing no blood to flow.
"Roar!"
The Scale Crow Giant Lizard shook its head, trying to dislodge the Titanium Alloy Spear, but the spearhead and bone were so tightly wedged that it couldn’t break free in the short term.
"While you’re indisposed!"
Li Zheng took out the ham, charging forward once again.
