What they all saw was the facade that You Mingyue presented.
Once You Mingyue’s shady past is exposed in the future, what will they think? How will they treat You Mingyue?
As the elder brother, You Jiaoyang had more than once advised You Mingyue, urging her not to go down the wrong path. She has the talent, and if she could honestly conduct herself, she would surely shine one day.
But not only did You Mingyue not appreciate it, she even felt that You Jiaoyang couldn’t accept her marrying into wealth and was jealous of her better life compared to his.
She stubbornly chose a risky path and decided to deceive Chu Zimu.
Good intentions went to waste, so later You Jiaoyang stopped ddling in You Mingyue’s affairs, because he knew you can never wake up a stubborn person.
But after all, she is his sister; how could You Jiaoyang possibly remain indifferent to her?
Hopefully, she can play the role of the good girl her entire life.
"Jiaoyang." After the al, Chu Zimu invited You Jiaoyang and You Mingyue to go horseback riding, "The weather is nice today. So friends have invited to the racetrack in the suburbs, let’s go together."
"Horseback riding in the afternoon, watching the performance in the evening; it’s rare to have a day off, let’s have a good family gathering."
You Jiaoyang was interested in horseback riding; he was about to agree when he heard You Mingyue say, "I can’t ride, and neither can my brother."
You Jiaoyang then closed his mouth.
"It’s okay if you can’t, there are professional coaches at the racetrack."
Upon hearing this, You Mingyue had no reservations, "Okay then."
The three children, along with their companions, went to the racetrack, while Mrs. Chu arranged for You Jingqiu to et friends at a tea room, intending to formally introduce You Jingqiu into high society.
After they left, Chairman Chu said, "The children and my wife all have their arrangents. I originally wanted to invite Brother Xu for so fishing, but I have so work to deal with, so let’s reschedule."
"Alright."
Seeing Chairman Chu off, Xu Zeqing returned to his car, contemplating for a mont before opening WeChat to ssage Xiao Nan: [Where are you?]
Xiao Nan replied: [I’m having dinner with the performance investors.]
Seeing this ssage, Xu Zeqing furrowed his brow slightly, then received another ssage from Xiao Nan: [The investor boss invited us to a big hotel for supper. Mr. Xu, I don’t want to go.]
A young and beautiful, talented college student being invited by the investor boss for supper. The real motive of the boss was evident to Xu Zeqing even without thinking.
Though he was hesitant to get involved with Xiao Nan, it did not an he would let other n get involved with her.
He was Xiao Nan’s first man.
The other party was pure, fresh, with a bright future that shouldn’t be tainted by such things.
Xu Zeqing replied: [I’ll pick you up after the performance.]
Xiao Nan seed delighted and sent him a shy smile.
The evening arrived quickly.
Xu Zeqing found the gold hall and settled in the third row.
As the audience was gradually seating themselves, he fiddled with the performance ticket, lost in thought. Suddenly, soone tapped his shoulder, and he heard You Mingyue’s voice, "Uncle Xu, why are you here?"
Xu Zeqing was montarily taken aback.
Turning his head, he saw You Mingyue sitting behind him, along with You Jiaoyang and Chu Zimu.
"You guys ca to watch the performance too?" This was out of Xu Zeqing’s expectation.
Nodding, You Mingyue said, "This performance is organized by the West Continent Art College, I’ve heard it’s well received, so we ca to check it out." You Mingyue wondered, "Is Uncle Xu interested in such performances too?"
"Yes, just ca to take a look with so free ti."
Having remained silent until now, You Jiaoyang suddenly asked, "Uncle Xu, are you here alone? Didn’t you bring Aunt?"
Xu Zeqing’s heart tightened, still unable to find an excuse when Chu Zimu said, "Aunt is at my mother’s friend’s house playing mahjong, so it’s probably lively there."
"Yes, she’s busy, so I ca by myself to have a look."
Nodding, You Jiaoyang stayed silent.
They were seated in the VIP section with the best viewing angle, where tickets cost over four hundred each. Due to the relatively high price, so seats in the VIP section remained unoccupied.
However, both the VIP and regular audience sections were already filled to capacity.
Shortly before the performance began, two more individuals entered the hall, heading to the VIP section.
These two happened to sit to Xu Zeqing’s left.
Slightly turning his head, Xu Zeqing noticed a young man with pale skin but a cold, stern expression. Beside the young man, wearing a purple shirt that exposed her white neck and collarbone, was the beautiful Xu Xingguang.
Perfect.
