Once Caelan confird that the Spectral Steed had no escape route, he raised his hand and slashed out a brilliant sword arc.
Almost instantly, the Spectral Steed was effortlessly slain. Its ethereal body collapsed to the ground with a faint shimring sound, the life extinguished in a blink.
The treasure chest strapped onto its back fell along with it, landing softly on the ground.
Audrey’s eyes widened in shock and excitent. She pressed her hands to her rosy lips, barely able to contain her gasp.
"Oh my God! The Spectral Steed... it’s really been killed!" she exclaid, disbelief and exhilaration blending in her voice.
Audrey herself had been navigating the [Dark Maze] for several years. Over that ti, she had encountered countless Spectral Steeds, but never had she witnessed one being killed.
To see it today, in her entire life, for the first ti, was simply beyond belief. She could hardly process what she was seeing.
As Caelan opened the treasure chest, a brilliant flash of light radiated from within. The first item that appeared was the one he had long coveted: the [Universal Gel].
But that was not all. Alongside it, countless other valuable items spilled out, their brilliance making the small chest seem impossibly heavy with worth.
There were [Dark Flintstones], [Lost Pearls], and more rare items, each individually valued in the hundreds of millions.
Audrey could not keep her eyes from widening further. She had never imagined that one day she would stumble upon such an astonishingly valuable hoard.
Even though she could only claim a tenth of the spoils, for Audrey, this represented a fortune beyond imagining. It was enough to make her heart race with excitent and disbelief.
Furthermore, her [Treasure Hunter] class required that she gather treasures of high value to level up.
This expedition with Caelan had proven to be an incredible windfall. She was earning both wealth and experience at an unprecedented rate.
While Caelan carefully began collecting his own spoils, a shadow flickered at the edge of their vision.
In the next instant, unier appeared before them, his presence sudden and imposing.
With a smug expression, unier casually stored all of Caelan’s recently acquired treasures into his own storage space.
Audrey’s mind went blank. The treasures she had anticipated, her portion worth billions of gold coins and hundreds of billions of experience points, had just been stolen right in front of her.
Her heart ached, feeling as if it were bleeding at that mont.
unier, on the other hand, glanced at her with a faint smirk. "What’s the matter? Are you dissatisfied?"
At that instant, he exuded a terrifying aura of ferocity. Two segnted, spider-like limbs extended from his back, writhing ominously.
His face contorted into a grimace of confidence and nace.
Audrey visibly recoiled, instinctively pressing closer to Caelan, seeking the safety she felt in his presence.
Through her senses, she could clearly perceive that unier’s strength was formidable. At her current level, she could not discern his full statistics or capabilities.
anwhile, Caelan’s eyes swept over unier with casual interest.
"This guy... is intriguing," he thought.
[unier]
[Race: Hell Stalker (Boss)]
[Class: Spiderman]
[Level: 593]
[Skills: Dangerous Listening, Devour, Death Web...]
[Description: A mber of the Hell Stalker race. This race originally lived on the surface but later allied with monsters for survival, adopting monster traits while retaining the tradition of becoming an awakener.]
Caelan paused for a mont as he read the description.
Most of the monsters he had encountered so far were spawned creatures from the ga. So were powerful, even self-aware, but they remained fundantally within the monster category.
The Hell Stalker, however, was different. This race had once been part of the broader pantheon of races. Forced by circumstances, they joined the ranks of monsters, acquiring a hybrid nature while retaining awakeners’ abilities.
Yet, Caelan did not dwell on the details. To him, the situation was straightforward.
"You stole my things. That ans I need to take them back," he thought simply. "If not, I will retrieve them myself."
unier, sensing the imnse power radiating from Caelan’s longsword, initially froze, then his expression darkened with anger.
"What do you think you’re doing? Do you understand the consequences of fighting ?" he demanded, voice laced with nace.
Without hesitation, unier unleashed his most lethal threat.
But in response, an overwhelming flood of sword energy surged forth from Caelan.
"Do you think that can kill ? Young man, you are far too naive!" unier’s voice rang out as he displayed near-perfect evasion skills.
Audrey’s jaw dropped in astonishnt.
"No... I didn’t see that wrong, did I? Caelan’s attack... it’s completely nullified!" she whispered, trembling with anxiety.
Her unease stemd from her understanding of Caelan’s true power.
His attacks were typically flawless, yet unier had managed to entirely block the sword arc.
Audrey’s eyes widened further, tension coursing through her. She could sense that Caelan’s class abilities were being restricted, preventing his sword energy from harming unier effectively.
anwhile, unier, after evading the torrent of sword energy, allowed a proud smile to creep across his face.
"You think your longsword alone can harm ? That’s nothing but a dream," he muttered.
He had originally assud that this human awakener, favored by His Majesty, would possess incredible strength.
Yet, the reality seed underwhelming. He believed he could defeat Caelan with minimal effort.
Caelan, however, remained perfectly calm, his expression unreadable.
He glanced at his longsword, a faint, unusual smile forming on his lips.
"Are you sure my sword can’t hurt you?" he asked quietly, his tone calm yet carrying a subtle challenge.
unier hesitated for just a mont, then confidently nodded.
"Given your strength, your sword cannot harm at all," he replied, certain of his own superiority.
"Oh? Is that so?" Caelan’s smile remained calm. He gripped the sword with both hands and swung it forward in a deliberate arc.
"Then allow to show you the true effect of my skill!" he declared.
[Cataclysmic Sword Rain]!!
In the next instant, countless teors fell from the sky, crashing into the small surrounding area with trendous force.
unier was stunned.
"This... you’re summoning teors? And you call this swordsmanship?" he thought in disbelief.
The sheer scale of the AOE attack left virtually no place to dodge within the confined area.
Panic began to creep into unier’s mind as he realized the extent of Caelan’s power.
Elsewhere, those observing from the palace were equally shocked.
"So this is the Chosen One’s true strength...? This is terrifying!"
"No one can defeat him... there’s simply no way!"
The observers could only watch, awe-struck, as the Cataclysmic Sword Rain continued to rain destruction.
Every strike, every impact, was a testant to Caelan’s overwhelming power, demonstrating that the Chosen One was not rely strong, but near-apocalyptic in his abilities.
The combination of speed, skill, and sheer destructive capability left a chilling impression.
Even seasoned awakeners and powerful figures within the palace could feel their hearts race at the spectacle before them.
The Hell Stalker unier, despite his confidence, had encountered a force that seed almost impossible to counter.
For a mont, the balance of the confrontation seed to tilt entirely in Caelan’s favor.
