Seeing the notification that suddenly popped up, Caelan froze for a mont. He hadn’t expected that the instant he entered the **[Arena of Races]**, he would be hit by an enemy ambush.
But... how was this an ambush?
This was clearly soone delivering points straight to his doorstep!
The next second, Caelan’s hands were already wrapped around the hilt of his longsword.
At this very mont, the entire **C4 zone** was a chaos of skills flying everywhere—brilliant flashes of color splintering the air—until the battlefield was swallowed by roaring explosions and sheets of fla.
What Caelan *didn’t* expect, however, was that the powerful **Ironclad Legion** was actually being pushed into a disadvantage!
The attackers and defenders had fought themselves into a frenzy. So mbers even chose to use self-destruction to pin down the enemy and slow their advance!
Caelan’s gaze swept across the insignias on the attackers’ chests, and understanding flickered in his eyes.
"So it’s the [Supre Staff Legion]... No wonder the Ironclad Legion is stuck taking a beating."
As one of the other top-tier legions, the Supre Staff Legion’s mbers were mostly **magic-based classes**.
And casters and warriors had always looked down on each other—so it was only natural that there would be conflict between them.
Among the human race, the three major legions were sharply divided:
[Ironclad Legion] represented the [warrior classes].
[Supre Staff Legion] represented the [magic classes].
[Knight Legion] represented [Body physical classes].
The boundaries between the three were clear, and their disputes had never truly stopped.
In the literary world there’s no undisputed number one; in martial prowess there can be only one second place. Every awakener believed their own class was the strongest!
So the bad blood between the three legions had continued for many years.
Still, due to the upper brass stepping in, these conflicts had remained within a controllable range—never escalating into a full-scale confrontation.
After all, beyond humanity’s borders, countless other races were watching like tigers eyeing prey.
What Caelan hadn’t expected was that even in a place like the **[Arena of Races]**, the three legions would still fight each other.
Shouldn’t they be working together, pushing forward as one, and clearing out the alien races?
But then again, once he thought about it, it wasn’t that hard to understand.
Everyone was here for points and rankings—and nobody would *really* die. So if they wanted to brawl, so be it.
Just then, Caelan suddenly heard voices from the Supre Staff Legion nearby.
"Brothers, what a perfect chance! The Ironclad Legion just sent a few more cannon fodder over—our ti to earn rits is here!"
"On my command—long-range fireball saturation, ready!"
A full five caster-type awakeners locked their gazes onto Caelan.
Almost instantly, they summoned their staffs and took up attack stances.
After only a few breaths, blazing fireballs began to rise and churn at the tips of their staffs!
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Dozens of fireballs blanketed Caelan’s position in an instant.
But Caelan had been prepared. With a single **[Flashstep]**, he vanished from where he stood.
"An attack like this ans nothing to ."
Caelan snorted coldly. His figure appeared directly behind one of the caster-type awakeners.
"Backstab!"
His longsword punched through the caster’s back in a heartbeat!
The caster’s eyes flew wide. He tried to say sothing, but his HP was already draining at an insane speed.
Beside him, another caster-type awakener threw up more than a dozen layers of shields almost instantly, face pale with terror.
"How is that possible!? He actually dodged the fireball coverage!"
"When did he get here?!"
Calm as ever, Caelan raised his hand and snapped his fingers.
"Ready to et death?"
The next mont, his longsword erupted into countless slashes—sword-light after sword-light bursting forth in a storm.
And the other four caster-type awakeners didn’t even have ti to react before the overwhelming tide of sword-light diced them into pieces.
[You have killed a Junior mber from the Supre Staff Legion. You gained 2000 points.]
[You have killed a Junior mber from the Supre Staff Legion. You gained 2000 points.]
[You have killed an Interdiate mber from the Supre Staff Legion. You gained 10000 points.]
...
Caelan’s skirmish didn’t draw much attention.
Because on the main battlefield, the situation was even more intense!
"Supre Staff brothers—this is the mont to show your strength! Summon **[Balefire teor]** imdiately—blast the entire C4 zone into ruins!"
Led by a captain, more than thirty Supre Staff Legion mbers raised their staffs high!
As energy gathered, a massive teor—wrapped in violet demonic fla—plunged from the sky, diving straight toward the earth!
RUMBLE—!!
The teor slamd into the ground, instantly kicking up towering clouds of dust and debris.
At the sa ti, the demonic flas carried by **[Balefire teor]** spread rapidly throughout the C4 zone!
The Ironclad Legion’s mbers had thick HP pools, but even they felt they couldn’t withstand those hellish flas for long.
Yet they didn’t choose to sit and take it. Even knowing they might "die," they still charged forward without hesitation, launching a counter-assault at the Supre Staff Legion.
"Brothers, magic classes are all squishy! As long as we close the distance, one of us can slaughter a whole bunch of them!"
"What are you afraid of? Worst case, I stop running **[Arena of Races]**—I’m fighting them to the end!"
"Leave so brothers behind to hold the C4 core position—the rest follow , we’re going in!"
In truth, this encounter battle had left the Ironclad Legion in a highly passive position.
Their original plan was to move through the **B2 zone** and launch a surprise attack on the Knight Legion, so they had pulled away a large portion of their forces.
They never expected that the C4 zone would instead be ambushed by the Supre Staff Legion.
Just as the situation grew more and more dire, the center of the C4 zone suddenly erupted with a dazzling holy radiance.
"Holy Blessing!!"
In the next instant, many mbers who were already at their limits felt as though they had been reborn.
The strength they had exhausted surged back to full, and their injuries began to heal at astonishing speed.
"It’s Alyssa—Alyssa is here!"
"Brothers, hold on! We absolutely can’t embarrass ourselves in front of Alyssa!"
"..."
With a greatsword in hand, Alyssa plunged into the desperate battle.
But she knew very well that one person’s power was ultimately limited.
Especially once the Supre Staff Legion noticed her presence—they imdiately dispatched ten tis the number, pressing down on her until she could barely breathe.
Alyssa tried again and again to unleash a skill to break the deadlock.
But every ti she made a move, several fireballs would slam down and interrupt her cast.
"Alyssa, don’t waste your effort!"
"Your strength isn’t bad, but against the Supre Staff, all you can do is admit defeat!"
