Sunday, June 18, 2023, Cloudy turning to thunderstorms, 23–34°C.

Early morning.

The sky was veiled by thick clouds, and a slightly hurried breeze swept across. The roadside trees swayed gently, their leaves rustling.

“Whew~” Tang Song exhaled deeply, coming to a stop.

He glanced at the fitness watch on his wrist:

10 kiloters completed, average pace 4′53″, total run ti 48 minutes.

Tang Song sat on a bench in the community's leisure area, resting for ten minutes. Soon, he recovered entirely.

Dressed in the [Unlimited Vigor] Outfit, which provided a 40% stamina and effectiveness boost, coupled with his cardio and lung functions enhanced by system items, tackling a 10-kiloter run was no big deal for him.

Admiring the increasingly defined and smooth contours of his muscles, he breathed in the moist, earthy scent of the air, feeling the cool breeze brushing past. Tang Song's mood lifted.

He opened WeChat, snapped a photo, and sent it to Wen Ruan, typing with a smile:

“I’ve been following the muscle coordination tutorial you sent for running recently, and the results are fantastic. I’ve already broken the 5-minute barrier for 10 kiloters. I feel like my stamina and endurance are terrifyingly strong now. I can’t imagine how you’ll cope when we play basketball in the future, Sister!”

Recently, both had been swamped with work, so gym visits were rare, and most of their interactions happened on WeChat.

Tang Song couldn’t deny he missed his big sister’s peach-shaped hips and "thick thighs."

Speaking of which, Wen Ruan’s figure was truly extraordinary:

Waist circumference: 62 cm,Hip circumference: 108 cm,Thigh circumference: 60 cm.

Add to that her E-Cup Nana, and she was simply unbeatable, radiating sex appeal, health, and the beauty of strength from every inch of her body.

“Buzz, buzz, buzz—”

[Wen Ruan: selfie.jpg]

Seeing the photo, Tang Song's breathing hitched again.

It was a shot of her lying on the bed.

She seed to have just woken up, her makeup-free face exuding a lazy, casual charm. Of course, none of that was the focus—the focus was that she was only wearing a pair of black panties.

For a 25-year-old from Yan Province, the image sent waves of excitent through him.

The photo was promptly retracted.

[Wen Ruan: "When I pull off this move, how will you cope, little brother?"]

Tang Song took a deep breath. Alright, this was getting hard to handle.

Even though he had taken [Heartthrob’s Kidney Boost Capsule], he was, at the end of the day, still within the realm of normal. At best, he was on the excellent side of the spectrum.

Against soone like Lin Muxue, a rookie, he could crush her effortlessly. Against a younger, spirited opponent like Zhao Yaqian, he might find himself slightly pressed, but victory was still assured.

However, when it ca to soone like Wen Ruan—a mature, curvy big sister who knew exactly what she was doing—his confidence wavered.

He might need to resort to little tricks to barely hold his ground. Then again, given her obvious ambition, it was likely she’d make the first move.

Considering her physical advantages, the outco was uncertain.

Licking his lips, Tang Song, feeling a bit excited, replied:

“Sister, I suddenly feel like having so milk. Would it be convenient to et at Jinxiu New City Apartnts?”

[Wen Ruan: side-eye smile.jpg]

[Wen Ruan: "I think you're the one who wants to drink milk."]

[Wen Ruan: selfie.jpg]

Looking at the slightly parted, rosy lips of the big sister, full and alluring, Tang Song was instantly overwheld.

Wow, a mature big sister really is leagues beyond younger players.

[Wen Ruan: "But it’s not very convenient right now. After all, this is Ziqi’s house, and she’s still asleep."]

Tang Song: "I don’t think she would mind."

[Wen Ruan: "I have a work trip next Wednesday, so I’m busy preparing. Plus, it’s Father’s Day today, and I need to visit Oasis View Garden to see my parents. You should also rember to call ho and check in."]

The two chatted a little longer before Wen Ruan got up to start her workout.

Tang Song sighed, feeling a twinge of guilt.

This ti, Wen Ruan didn’t suggest introducing him to her parents or use other topics to draw him in. From her recent attitude, it seed her inner turmoil had softened.

She probably had already made up her mind not to get married.

Her visit ho on Father’s Day was likely an attempt to reconcile with her family.

The chance encounter in Beijing, the villa at Shengyuan Estate, the trust fund from Slover Trust, and the Companion Developnt Plan…

Tang Song hoped these things he had prepared would bring this big sister so genuine happiness.

After another stroll around the neighborhood, Tang Song headed back to his flat.

Checking the ti, he dialed his father’s number.

The phone rang for a while before it was picked up.

“Hello, Dad.”

Soon, a joyful voice ca through the receiver: “Hello, Xiao Song! It’s the weekend, right? Taking it easy at ho?”

“Yeah, just relaxing.” Leaning against the window on his balcony, Tang Song added, “Happy Father’s Day. How’s your health been lately?”

“Haha, it’s great! The governnt organized free physical exams a few days ago. All my numbers ca back fine, perfectly healthy. Your mom’s also doing much better than before.”

“That’s good to hear. Make sure you both get plenty of rest and don’t skimp on als. I sent 100,000 yuan to the family account; use it as needed.”

There was a mont of silence on the other end before his father softly replied, “Hmm.” His tone grew serious as he asked, “By the way, how’s your company doing recently?”

Tang Song chuckled and started talking about the progress of Songi Fashion, focusing on sales figures.

Unlike his mother, his father never indulged in small talk about family matters. He was more concerned about Tang Song’s career.

Two months had passed since the company’s launch, and now that it was on track, it was ti to help his family accept the fact that he had beco wealthy.

Hearing keywords like “monthly sales in the millions,” “profitability achieved,” and “large-scale hiring,” his father beca visibly excited, talking much more than usual.

Although he didn’t understand the details of live-streaming e-comrce or won’s fashion, it didn’t stop him from sharing life and work advice.

The father and son chatted for over half an hour.

Just as Tang Song ended the call, he noticed an unread ssage.

[Yao Lingling: "Senior, the outfit you requested is ready. Let know if it ets your expectations."]

[Yao Lingling: photo.jpg]

Tang Song opened the image, and a joyful smile appeared on his face.

A dark gray athletic T-shirt, black sports shorts, and black sports underwear—almost identical to what he had seen in the system interface. Paired with a matching pair of sneakers, it was finally complete.

Now he could fully unlock the potential of the [Outfit - Unlimited Vigor] and take his fitness journey to the next level, enhancing his physical appeal even further.

Excited, he quickly replied: “Thanks, Lingling. I’m very satisfied. I’ll co by to pick it up now.”

"Buzz, buzz, buzz—"

[Yao Lingling: "Wait, wait, wait. It’s Father’s Day today, so I’m back at my parents’ place. I’ll be back at the Star Blossom Garden neighborhood this afternoon. How about you co by later? You can have dinner with us before heading out."]

Tang Song: “Alright, sounds good. I’ll co around 5 p.m.”

[Yao Lingling: "Okay, okay. Oh, senior, could you ride your Ninja 400 over? I practiced a bit on a relative’s motorcycle while at ho and would love to test-drive yours."]

Tang Song replied with a laugh: “Of course, no problem. I can even coach you in person. Once you’re comfortable, you can get your own bike. I’ve got a riding group we can join for trips together.”

After a bit more chatting, Tang Song exited the conversation, his mind unconsciously drifting to Cheng Qiuqiu, the biker girl he had t.

At their first eting at the Huayun Center, he found her stunningly beautiful, with a cool and bold deanor. A very nice impression overall.

His junior, Lingling, was pretty and tall too, though her only drawback might be her flat chest.

Chang’an District, Oasis View Garden neighborhood.

A black BMW 330i rolled in slowly. The barrier at the parking garage entrance lifted automatically as the car’s bright projector headlights flicked on.

♪BGM: "There’s always a winding, colorful river in the fairytale town, tinged with whimsical magic, yet twisted by love…"

With soft and crystal-clear music playing, Wen Ruan carefully parked her car in her designated spot.

The engine shut off.

Admiring the dazzling dashboard and ambient lighting, Wen Ruan patted the steering wheel with a satisfied smile.

As a property owner, she had already registered the car’s license plate for automatic entry.

As for her Lynk & Co 06, it was still gathering dust at Jinxiu New City Apartnts.

It wasn’t that she was indifferent to the old car; this BMW 330i’s handling and audio system were simply too good to resist.

Especially cruising along the banks of the Taiping River—it was an exceptionally refreshing experience.

Lately, this had left her with little ti for motorcycle rides.

She ran a hand over her abdon—fortunately, her V-line abs were still intact. After her upcoming business trip to Beijing, she resolved to work out diligently to make up for lost ti.

Getting out of the car, she grabbed a gift bag from the trunk, locked the vehicle, and took the elevator straight to the 17th floor.

Standing outside 1702, Wen Ruan paused briefly before gripping the handle and opening the door.

“I’m ho,” she called out gently.

Almost imdiately, her mother, Qian Guixiang, hurried out of the master bedroom with a look of surprise and delight.

“Ruanruan, what brings you back all of a sudden?” she exclaid. Then, glancing at the door behind her, a flicker of disappointnt crossed her face. “Tang Song didn’t co with you?”

Wen Ruan frowned slightly. “Mom, if you’re not happy to see , I’ll leave right now.”

“No, no, no! It’s almost lunchti. What do you want to eat? I’ll make it for you,” Qian Guixiang said quickly, grabbing her daughter’s arm and pressing her onto the sofa.

“Anything’s fine,” Wen Ruan replied, glancing around. “Where’s Dad? Isn’t he off work today?”

“He left early, said sothing about an issue at the factory. He’s still not back yet,” Qian Guixiang said, checking the ti. “Let call him.”

She hurried to the bedroom and dialed his number. The phone hadn’t rung more than a few tis when the door opened again.

In walked Wen Jianxin, looking travel-worn. “No need to call, I’m here,” he announced loudly.

Wen Ruan quickly stood up, handing him the gift bag with a smile.

“Happy Father’s Day, Dad! I got you a present,” she said warmly.

The stern, silent expression on Wen Jianxin’s face softened imdiately. Every wrinkle seed to be filled with joy as his face lit up with a wide smile.

"Thank you, my girl," Wen Jianxin said, his face full of emotion and paternal affection.

Their family had always shared a close bond, only strained in recent years when Wen Ruan returned from Beijing and avoided finding a partner, creating tension at ho.

Qian Guixiang peeked into the gift bag and chuckled. "Wuliangye! Your dad’s going to brag about this to his coworkers for sure."

Wen Ruan’s eyes curved with a smile. "Dad, what do you feel like eating? I’ll cook lunch for you myself."

"Ah, no need. Your mom and I can handle it. You just relax," Wen Jianxin replied.

"Today’s Father’s Day, Dad. No work for you." Wen Ruan grabbed the teacup from the table, poured him so warm water, and handed it over.

Seeing his considerate daughter, Wen Jianxin’s eyes moistened slightly.

He could almost see the little girl who used to sit on his shoulders, saying, "Daddy, you work so hard."

Sighing softly, he sat on the couch and looked at his wife and daughter. After a mont of silence, he spoke.

"I went to the factory today because we got a sudden notice. Our printing plant might be shutting down. They’re planning to lay off 80% of the staff."

"What!?" Qian Guixiang’s face turned pale. "How did that happen? Didn’t they say there was new business coming in?"

Wen Ruan was equally stunned. "Wasn’t the printing plant doing fine? Why the sudden closure?"

Wen Jianxin shook his head. "The profits have been bad for a while now. We haven’t received wages in two months. I just didn’t tell you."

He then explained the situation in more detail.

Yanbei Printing Plant mainly handled books, docunts, materials, and various promotional printing. However, with the rise of digital dia, their business had been steadily declining.

For a while, a few large orders from state-owned enterprises kept the plant afloat. But due to aging equipnt, increased market competition, and stricter environntal regulations, they had lost half their clients in the past six months. Now, the plant was running at a loss.

Today’s eting was an attempt to negotiate with managent to see if there was any hope of salvaging the situation.

Listening to her father’s account, Wen Ruan took a deep breath, her emotions complicated.

Her family, like many of her father’s relatives, originally ca from villages on the outskirts of the North Third Ring Road.

Back then, the area was dotted with small-scale printing workshops. These weren’t true factories—more like mom-and-pop operations.

The wages were low, with no social insurance or benefits to speak of. Still, it provided the villagers with a relatively stable inco.

Later, the area was earmarked for subway and park developnt, and developers sward in, leading to mass demolitions.

To ensure livelihoods, the governnt introduced new zoning plans and attracted investnts, resulting in the establishnt of the Yanbei Printing Plant—a legitimate printing company that absorbed many of the displaced workers.

Wages increased, social security was provided, and jobs beca more stable. Everyone was overjoyed.

That was back in 2008.

The dark blue uniforms, spacious and well-lit workshops, advanced printing machines, and clean, orderly warehouses filled with materials...

This was the pride of Wen Jianxin’s life, often the centerpiece of tea-ti conversations and family gatherings.

Thanks to the plant job, even though their promised relocation housing hadn’t materialized, everyone managed to endure.

But now, with the plant on the verge of closure, frustrations were boiling over. After all, many were still renting hos.

After Wen Jianxin finished, Qian Guixiang anxiously asked, "What are we going to do? You’re over 50 now. Finding another job won’t be easy, and you’re not old enough to retire."

Buying this apartnt last year had drained their savings, and Wen Ruan was still paying the mortgage. The thought of relying entirely on their daughter made her heart race with worry.

And then there was Wen Ruan’s exceptional boyfriend. If he found out about their situation, would he look down on her?

Wen Jianxin exhaled deeply. "Let’s see what the managent decides. If it cos to it, I’ll find another job. There’s always sothing I can do."

Wen Jianxin was responsible for maintaining and servicing the plant’s equipnt, but much of it was nearing obsolescence, making it unlikely he could find a suitable job elsewhere.

“Ah, what a ss! Just when Ruanruan’s situation was improving, and we managed to buy a new house, this happens…” Qian Guixiang sighed heavily, slumping into her seat. “If I’d known, I wouldn’t have quit my job a couple of years ago.”

She had worked at a textile company for a few years but suffered from allergic rhinitis and other health issues, which led to frequent hospitalizations. After Wen Ruan returned from Beijing, she persuaded her mother to resign and focus on recuperating at ho.

Seeing her parents’ anxious expressions, Wen Ruan pressed her lips together before speaking. “Dad, Mom, there’s sothing I want to tell you.”

“What is it?”

“One of my forr colleagues from the company I worked at in Beijing contacted yesterday,” Wen Ruan said, sitting up straight and looking at her parents. “They said the group is planning to establish a large branch office in Yan City with over 200 employees.”

“Ah?” Qian Guixiang’s eyes lit up. “Is it that Xingyun International company?”

She vividly rembered her daughter’s first post-graduation employer. It was a bona fide major corporation with a market value in the billions—a source of pride for her.

Wen Ruan nodded. “Yes, Xingyun International dia Group. My old colleague said the VP in charge of the branch thinks highly of and wants to join as a leader. The job is based in Yan City, but the salary will match the standards in Beijing.”

“How much is that?”

“Around 30,000 yuan a month,” Wen Ruan said calmly, her gaze subtly shifting.

In truth, she was only sharing part of the story. The salary would definitely align with local standards, but she bent the truth to achieve her goal.

“That much! My goodness!” Qian Guixiang exclaid, standing up in excitent. “And there’s a year-end bonus too, right? Doesn’t that an your inco would rival… those top finance executives?”

She had intended to ntion Gu Cheng but quickly changed course, fearing the na might upset her daughter.

Even Wen Jianxin’s face flushed with excitent. “This is amazing news! Is it certain?”

A monthly salary of 30,000 yuan was on par with the factory’s deputy director.

The urgency they felt about Wen Ruan marrying was driven by the desire for her to settle down with a stable future. But if she could earn a Beijing-level salary while living in Yan City, it would truly be a windfall.

They could finally stop worrying about her.

“It’s almost confird, but…” Wen Ruan hesitated for a mont, biting her lip before continuing, “Dad, Mom, you know I’m 29 now, the ideal age for marriage and having children. The group is worried I might take maternity or marriage leave, which could delay the branch’s launch.”

She took a deep breath, relieved to finally say what she had been preparing.

“So, if I want this leadership role, I’ll need to agree not to marry or have children for the next two years.”

She glanced at their faces as she delivered the prepared speech, then added with confidence:

“30,000 yuan a month, six insurances, one housing fund, two months’ year-end bonus, plus various allowances. That’s an annual salary of over 400,000 yuan. On top of that, I’d get a BMW every year and a house in three years. If I do well, I could even beco a senior executive at the branch. What do you think?”

Wen Jianxin took a deep breath, his brows furrowed in thought. “This…”

Qian Guixiang’s face twisted with indecision. “But… Tang Song is such a great guy. Will he wait for you? What if he finds soone else?”

What Wen Ruan had said was incredibly tempting: an annual salary of 400,000 yuan and a path to senior leadership. This was her chance to soar.

“If I build my career and beco even more outstanding, he’ll only love more,” Wen Ruan said with confidence. ɪꜰ ʏᴏᴜ ᴡᴀɴᴛ ᴛᴏ ʀᴇᴀᴅ ᴍᴏʀᴇ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs, ᴘʟᴇᴀsᴇ ᴠɪsɪᴛ novel·fiɾe·net

Then, her gaze turned to her father. “Xingyun International is one of the largest dia companies in the country. If I beco a senior executive, I could redirect so of their printing business to Yanbei Printing Plant. That would save the factory and earn our family the gratitude of all our relatives.”

After hearing Zhao Mingying’s comnts yesterday, this idea had struck her.

Today’s visit to her family was intended to shift their mindset. Her father’s looming unemploynt only made her argunt more compelling.

It had a greater impact than she could have imagined.

Two years could change a lot of things. Perhaps the future held unexpected turns.

Tang Song, Tang Song! Wen Ruan thought. For you, I’ve even lied to my parents. If you ever dare to let down, I’ll devour you whole!
