"Knock, knock, knock—"
"Please co in!"
The door to the private room slowly opened.
Gao ngting walked in gracefully, "Mr. Tang, sorry to keep you waiting."
"Please have a seat, Ms. Gao," Tang Song stood up and said, "I haven’t been here long, and the dishes aren’t all served yet."
"Thank you." Gao ngting smiled and sat down.
Li Yongming scanned the room, clicking his tongue in amazent, "Just for lunch, you sure are generous."
Juhuide's private rooms cost a minimum of 1,200 yuan. Tang Song clearly aid to impress Gao ngting. Unfortunately, he didn’t realize his goddess disliked such extravagance. During college, many wealthy suitors were eliminated for similar reasons.
Tang Song ignored him, handing the iPad nu to Gao ngting, "I ordered a few signature dishes. Please check if there’s anything else you’d like."
Gao ngting glanced at the nu, smiled, and said, "You’ve ordered plenty already; we won’t finish it all."
"How did the rent issue go?"
"Fairly well, at least I can postpone the paynt for a few months. Once I clear my inventory, I’ll be able to catch up," Gao ngting placed her bag on the chair beside her and leaned back, looking at the ornate chandelier on the ceiling.
"That's good. The toughest part is over."
Since he first t her, Tang Song sensed she was always tense and exhausted. Seeing her finally relax made him happy for her.
Li Yongming, observing their interaction, raised an eyebrow.
Unable to hold back, he interjected, "Today, the property managers happened to be hosting a big client. That's why ngting’s issue was resolved smoothly."
He emphasized "big client," raising his voice, "Yunli Hotel, you know..."
"Yongming!"
Gao ngting interrupted him sternly before he could continue.
Seeing her stern look, Li Yongming forced an awkward smile, "Just trying to enlighten Tang Song."
Gao ngting pressed her lips together in disappointnt. She had known Li Yongming since college, and despite three years since graduation, his psychological resilience and personal capabilities had hardly improved. The key issue was his refusal to heed the advice.
At that mont, the waiter entered with the remaining dishes.
Tang Song gestured to Gao ngting, "Let’s eat and talk."
"Alright. To be honest, I’m quite hungry; I haven’t eaten much since last night."
"I heard their Sichuan-style beef tripe is excellent. Give it a try."
"It’s delicious, tender, and bouncy!" Content originally cos from novel{f}ire
As they ate, the conversation gradually beca more pleasant and relaxed.
Gao ngting stood up, picked up the teapot, and poured tea for Tang Song.
Li Yongming, sitting on the side, was taken aback, his face darkening.
After a mont of silence, Gao ngting asked, "Mr. Tang, why did you suddenly want to start a clothing e-comrce business? Could you share your thoughts? Even if we can’t partner, I can offer so advice."
She wasn’t ungrateful and could judge character to so extent. Tang Song had bought her car without hesitation, supported her business, drove them to Juhuide, booked a private room, and ordered many signature dishes. His actions showed sincerity, patience, and confidence. Now that her major problem was resolved, she didn’t mind listening to his business proposal. At least she could understand his attitude whether it worked out or not.
Tang Song chose his words carefully, "My current company is in the clothing channel trade, which is why I chose this industry."
"Oh? Could you tell which company?" Gao ngting asked curiously.
"Jinxiu Comrce."
Gao ngting was surprised, "That’s the leader in Yan City’s clothing trade. I’ve dealt with your agents before."
Tang Song nodded slightly, explaining his advantages in supplier and source data.
Listening quietly, Gao ngting’s eyes brightened.
"I initially sourced products from platforms like 1688, Aimaimai, and Duoduo, contacting suppliers individually and testing products piece by piece. It was tough to establish a reliable channel. Since I couldn’t get competitive prices for genuine goods, I focused on clearance stock," she reflected.
By the end of their discussion on supply chains, Gao ngting’s attitude had shifted. It was clear Tang Song had put considerable effort into this and wasn’t joking.
They then talked about platform choices, paynt cycles, after-sales service, and initial account strategies. When Tang Song ntioned having a million yuan and an office at Yunxi Tower, inviting her to partner, Gao ngting was about to respond, but Li Yongming couldn’t stay silent.
Smirking, he asked eagerly, "May I ask where your office in Yunxi Tower is located?"
"The 30th floor, units 3001 and 3002, totaling 200 square ters," Tang Song replied.
Li Yongming slapped the table and laughed, "Brother, before you brag, get your facts straight. You ntioned having a million yuan; I could laugh that off. But the 30th floor of Yunxi Tower is reserved for the property company’s own offices and has never been leased out! Don’t try to argue; I’m a real estate agent for Aijia Realty, handling rentals at Yunxi Tower. I know the place very well."
"I didn’t say it was rented," Tang Song frowned and turned to Gao ngting, "The office is my own property, so there’s no rent pressure."
"This..." Gao ngting was taken aback, trying to process this information.
Li Yongming raised his thumb sarcastically, "Wow, your story gets more elaborate! Why not say the whole Yunxi Tower is yours, or even better, that you’re the president of Yunxi Realty? Then I’d have to call you Mr. Tang!"
The room fell silent, a faint awkwardness hanging in the air.
Gao ngting bit her lip, wanting to say sothing. She knew about Yunxi Tower and Baoyun Center, both developed by Yunxi Realty with the sa property managent team. Ownership is rarely transferred to outsiders.
"Knock, knock, knock—" The sudden knock broke the silence.
A familiar voice ca from the doorway, "Mr. Tang, are you available now?"
