Asher’s POV

After Elisa left the classroom,

I turned to the guy sitting next to . "What’s your na?

"

He had black hair and black eyes—most likely a commoner.

"I-I’m Noah," he replied, his voice slightly nervous

.

"Alright, Noah. What’s the next class?" I asked.

"Spellcasting," he answered.

Soon, a man with white hair and blue eyes entered the classroom.

He had a sharp, handso face—enough for several girls to stare at him like he was sothing worth devouring

.

The man stepped forward and introduced himself.

"My na is Isaac Vane. I will be teaching you spellcasting."

His voice was calm, confident.

"The theory of spellcasting is the study of how a mage turns intent into reality by shaping mana through structured forms. Every spell depends on three core elents—intent, mana, and form. Proper control of mana is essential. Poor flow can weaken a spell, cause it to fail, or even backfire. Stronger spells require greater energy and focus. Discipline and understanding are key to safe and effective casting."

He continued speaking—

Sothing about control... mana quantity... trajectory...

I stopped listening.

Honestly, I don’t even understand why we focus so much on theory. The best way to learn is through practice.

Though... it’s probably sothing like "basics first, theory matters too."

Still boring.

I didn’t join the Academy to sit through lectures.

I ca here to watch drama... and have so fun.

After what felt like forever, the class finally ended.

For the next session, we headed to the training ground.

A man with black hair and green eyes soon arrived.

His na was Alex.

He had a well-built body—clearly one of those gym-obsessed types.

Without wasting ti, he gave the order.

"Run 100 laps around the ground. No mana allowed."

One lap was 800 ters.

And no one was leaving until they finished.

So, everyone started running.

As expected, the top rankers finished first.

As for —

I was dead last.

I did not really trained much this body.

Most of the ti, I just played gas or ate.

So this outco wasn’t surprising.

"I guess he’s only a monster when it cos to mana control."

"Yeah, probably one of those book-smart types."

"He must’ve trained only his mana since childhood."

The noble kids whispered among themselves.

I ignored them.

It didn’t matter

.

As for training mana control...

I never really took it seriously.

I was just naturally good at it.

"Alright, that’s enough for today. For the next week, we’ll focus on physical training," Alex said with a grin.

He looked especially pleased seeing lying flat on the ground.

Of course—

I had a blanket under .

The confusion on everyone’s faces was obvious.

Who even carries a blanket and juice around?

Well...

I have everything in my subspace.

And by everything—I an everything needed to survive.

Not like it weighs anything.

And my subspace is probably one of the largest on the continent.

So space isn’t an issue.

I never understood why protagonists in novels don’t carry essentials with them.

I even have a PC, TV, and refrigerator in there.

Along with mana stones to power them.

"Before you leave, tell which weapon you use. You’ll receive it next week," Alex said.

"I don’t use weapons," I replied, still lying down.

At once, everyone turned toward .

Confusion filled their faces.

The son of the strongest swordsman... doesn’t use a sword?

That was clearly what they were thinking.

Alex recovered quickly. "Even if you rely on magic, you still need to learn at least one weapon."

"...Fine. I’ll choose a sword," I said, finally standing up after resting enough.

Soon, everyone declared their choices.

Most chose swords and spears.

A few went with bows.

After class, it was ti for lunch.

I asked Noah to co with —I had no idea where the cafeteria was.

As we walked, he asked, "What about breakfast this morning?"

"I was getting late, so I just ate so fruits."

He nodded, understanding.

We reached the cafeteria and got our food, then found a quiet table in the corner.

I was just about to start eating—

When a group approached.

Led by Celestine and Aria.

They stopped in front of us.

Then, without hesitation, sat at the sa table.

Seven people in total.

Three guys. Four girls.

Celestine smiled. "This is our first proper eting, right? Asher Astrean."

"Yeah."

"You rarely attend social gatherings... and you never celebrate your birthday. May I ask why?"

"I don’t like talking to nobles. They’re annoying," I said calmly, continuing to eat.

She looked surprised for a mont, then composed herself.

"And why do you feel that way?"

I glanced at her. "Let’s skip that. What do you want?"

A brief pause.

Then—

"I want your support in the fight for the throne," she said directly.

"I’m not interested," I replied, returning my focus to my al.

"I see... If you change your mind, contact ," she said, standing up.

The group left soon after.

Silence lingered.

Then I turned to Noah.

He looked like his soul had left his body.

"What’s wrong with you? Seen a ghost?" I asked.

"You... you’re an Astrean," he said, his voice trembling.

"You didn’t know?" I raised an eyebrow.

"You never told your full na."

"What were you doing during orientation?"

"I... fell asleep right after the Headmaster’s speech," he admitted, embarrassed.

"What about when Professor Elisa was questioning ?"

He hesitated.

"...I was too focused on... looking at her," he muttered, looking like he wanted to disappear out of sha.

I stared at him.

Is this guy serious... or just ssing with ?

"Then during physical training? Everyone was staring at . You didn’t wonder why?"

He went quiet again.

Then, under my gaze, he answered in a small voice, "I thought it was because... you’re a bit weird."

For a second, I just looked at him—

Then I burst out laughing.

Maybe...

Not everyone here is boring after all.
