Everyone was looking at him with blank expressions.
Then Adam looked at him and then at the spirit that had run off and laughed while looking at the ground, holding his stomach with one hand while the other was covering his mouth.
"Haaa... hhaa... I was joking before when I said that they would avoid you like a plague. Haaa... haaa... But I guess I was right. Even spirits know that you are weird and don’t want to be near you."
Asher just ignored everything Adam said.
But Adam kept laughing.
Noah, who was standing near Adam, said sothing in Adam’s ear, and after hearing that, Adam stopped laughing.
Elisa looked at Aelar and said, "What is the aning of this? Why are the spirits acting so weird around him?"
Aelar sighed and said, "I don’t really know. I don’t have a spirit myself that I can ask."
Then he looked at Roselia and said, "Roselia, can you summon your spirit and ask it why the spirits are acting so weird around Asher?"
Roselia had been standing there the entire ti, observing Asher, but when she saw that he could not interact with a single spirit, let alone form a contract, she felt happy that he could not get a contract and also felt superior that she was better than him in that aspect.
"I guess you are not good at everything either."
While she was thinking these things, she heard Aelar’s request. Roselia simply nodded and then summoned her own spirit.
After signing a contract, a spirit becos a part of yourself and stays within you. Since spirits don’t really have physical bodies, it is easy for them to reside inside your body. That is also the reason why your mastery over certain elents increases when you make a contract with a spirit of that elent.
Soon, mana started leaking from Roselia’s body, and then it took the shape of a cat.
The cat looked at Roselia and asked, "What happened? Why did you call ?"
Every student present looked at Roselia’s spirit with curiosity because it was a middle-rank spirit that could hold conversations, unlike low-level spirits, which could only understand simple things.
Roselia looked at the cat and said in a calm tone, "Could you take a look at that boy?" while pointing towards Asher, and continued, "And tell why spirits keep avoiding him."
As soon as Roselia said this, the spirit looked at Asher. The mont it did, the spirit made a frightened face and quickly went behind Roselia to hide.
Everyone beca even more surprised by this.
Aelar then looked at Roselia. Understanding what Aelar ant, Roselia asked her spirit, "What happened? Why are you acting so scared?"
In response, the spirit looked at Roselia, then again at Asher, and said, "I don’t know. I just felt danger to my life as soon as I saw that boy. My instincts were screaming that if I got too close to him, I might simply cease to exist."
Roselia eyes widened after hearing that.
"Cease to exist?" she asked.
The spirit imdiately nodded.
The spirit imdiately nodded and said "Yes. I don’t know why, but that’s what my instincts are telling . Every spirit possesses certain instincts that help us avoid danger, and right now those instincts are screaming at to stay away from him."
A heavy silence descended over the area.
The students looked at Asher with disbelief.
At first, they thought the spirits were simply avoiding him because there was sothing wrong with his mana or because he lacked talent as a spirit contractor.
But now, hearing the words of a middle-rank spirit, their thoughts began to change.
Adam, who had stopped laughing earlier, took a step back unconsciously.
Even Noah’s expression beca serious.
Elisa frowned and looked at Asher.
"Is there sothing special about him?" she muttered.
Aelar also had a thoughtful expression on his face.
He knew spirits were not creatures that got frightened easily. Unless there was a genuine reason, they would never react in such an extre manner.
Roselia’s spirit carefully peeked from behind her shoulder and looked at Asher again.
The mont its eyes t his, its body trembled.
"No, no, no... I don’t want to look at him anymore," it said while shaking its head.
Then Aelar looked at the spirit and asked, "Can you tell what exactly is making you feel that way?"
The spirit looked at Asher again.
The mont it did, its body trembled and it quickly hid behind Roselia once more.
"I don’t know!" the spirit said.
"I just feel scared whenever I look at him."
Everyone looked at Asher.
However, Asher expression remained calm from beginning to end.
It was as if none of this had anything to do with him.
Seeing this, many students beca even more curious.
The spirit then spoke again,"But there is one thing."
Everyone imdiately focused on it.
"What?" Aelar asked.
The spirit hesitated for a mont before speaking.
"It feels like there is sothing inside him that shouldn’t exist."
The mont those words left its mouth, everyone expressions changed.
Sothing that shouldn’t exist?
Even Aelar frowned after hearing that.
Spirits were beings closely connected to mana and the world itself.
If a spirit said sothing shouldn’t exist, then it was not sothing that could be ignored.
Roselia also looked at Asher with a complicated expression.
anwhile, Asher simply stood there quietly.
His expression did not change at all.
The spirit carefully peeked from behind Roselia and looked at Asher once more.
This ti Asher also looked at it.
The spirit imdiately jumped behind Roselia.
"Don’t let him look at !" the spirit shouted.
"I don’t like it!"
Adam unconsciously took a step back.
For the first ti, he no longer felt like mocking Asher.
Instead, he felt a chill run down his spine.
And judging from the expressions of the other students, they felt the sa.
Aelar looked at Asher again, then walked towards him and said, "Asher, could you please let check your body with a mana scan to see if there is sothing wrong with it?"
