Not long after, Ziyun led the two of them to a guest room, "Miss Lin, how do you find this room?"
The original owner of this room was an Elder from the Hu Family, and its location was the closest to the courtyard, so close that one could almost see through the windows.
Originally, it was ant to facilitate the Elder's supervision of the servants in the courtyard.
Now that sothing felt off, Ziyun chose this place on purpose.
"It has a classic and elegant charm, truly a rare gem of a house."
Gazing at the antique bed, Lin i jokingly remarked in surprise, "This bed is made of gold-threaded nanmu, it's as luxurious as gold. I don't have the fortune to sleep on it."
"If you like it, feel free to stay here. Anyway, the original owner is already dead."
Ning Fan smiled but left the last sentence unsaid.
Ning Fan vaguely rembered that the owner of this bed died from having their heart pulse shattered by one of his palms, with blood flowing from seven orifices.
"I wonder if Lin i will have nightmares once she knows."
Surveying the room's four windows, when she saw that one of the views was obstructed by a building, Lin i casually asked, "Miss Lin, may I know who lives in the courtyard outside the window?"
"That's the servants' compound of the Hu Family."
Lin i softly said, "So that's where you all live."
"Yes. All eight of us servants live there."
"Now that the Hu Family has fallen, why don't you move over here?"
Lin i continued smiling, "There are so many rooms here, and the environnt is better than over there."
Ziyun gently smiled, "We have lived there for a long ti and have gotten used to it. Besides, this is where the young master resides, and we dare not overstep."
"Oh!"
Lin i nodded, her mind a swirl of thoughts.
"Did this girl choose this room unintentionally, or with purpose? Is it for taking care of or for surveilling ?"
Ziyun's intentions couldn't fool Lin i; she imdiately saw the intricate relationship between the room and the courtyard.
However, the consideration-driven Lin i thought even more deeply than Ziyun, analyzing various possibilities.
Of course, Ning Fan wouldn't know that in this brief encounter, a subtle duel took place between the two won.
"Lin i, you haven't rested well these past few days, take a good rest first."
"Thank you for your concern, Young Lord Ning. I shall rest then."
Lin i, understanding the implication, ceased being the third wheel.
"By the way, I will leave directly later. If you need anything, just tell Ziyun."
Other warnings were unnecessary from Ning Fan, as given Lin i's aversion to death, she surely wouldn't wander around carelessly here.

Watching the two act as 'intimate sisters', Ning Fan didn't sense anything amiss.

But, considering Ziyun lived in such a sinister place as the Hu Family, Ning Fan found it understandable.

Grinding her teeth, Ziyun continued, "If this matter spreads, it will surely damage the Young Master's reputation. Young Master must not act. This servant is willing to be the blade in your hand."
Ning Fan couldn't help but laugh, "Ziyun, you misunderstand. If I truly wanted to kill her, why would I care about trivial reputation?"
Ziyun, embarrassed, "It's all this servant's fault for misunderstanding the Young Master."
"I feel Lin i is still sowhat talented and has shown a willingness to surrender, so I accepted her."
Ziyun worriedly asked, "But what if she's just pretending to submit in order to save her life?"

Ning Fan laughingly reassured, "Silly girl. How could I think so ill of you? In my eyes, you are a gentle and perceptive, wonderful girl."
"Thank you, Young Master."
Ning Fan's words moved Ziyun imnsely, moistening her eyes with reddish tint.
"Ziyun, I will leave now. Please take care of this place in my absence."
"Even if it costs my life, I will guard the young master's ho."
Ning Fan teased with a mischievous grin, "Don't speak of life and death. I haven't yet admired your beauty to my satisfaction."
Ziyun's face flushed instantly, her beauty unparalleled in that mont.
"Maintain your composure, my friend. Stay calm, the ti's not right yet."
Ning Fan, with his emotions in turmoil like ocean waves, forced himself to remain calm, suppressing the restless surge within.
"Ziyun, I'm leaving now."
Swallowing hard, Ning Fan dared not linger a mont longer, fearful that staying would turn him into a wolfman.
Still, as the saying goes, good things take ti to cook slowly.
Just as Ning Fan was about to leave, Ziyun, with a hint of impulse, took a step forward, "Young Master, could you…"
"What is it?"
"Before you go, could you hold ?"
Seeing Ziyun with her eyes lowered, as docile as a little wife, Ning Fan pulled her into his arms.
