Chapter 1665: Chapter 1654: Community Event

“No, let’s go check on those savages first.”

Hearing this, a trace of guilt flashed in Mos’ eyes. Despite his strength, he couldn’t dispel the remaining Holy Power from the wounds.

“Then I’ll trouble you, Your Grace.”

William shook his head and said lightly, “I also want to see how this Holy Power acquired through cultivation differs from that of the Holy Temple.”

In another car ten kiloters away, Andrew, with his legs crossed, squinted and said, “The old guy is really stingy, always hogging the good stuff for himself.”

After complaining for a while, Andrew asked, “Where’s the young lady?”

“Miss Alice is attending a community activity on Nineteenth Street.”

“Community activity?”

“An event organized by volunteers, mainly to visit the elderly who live alone and distribute food to the holess.”

Andrew was slightly taken aback, then burst into laughter, “My little darling is so kind-hearted, you’re the little angel sent to by God.”

The Blood Clan mbers in the car couldn’t help but have a strange expression upon hearing this.

Only Andrew dared to say such things; if any other Blood Clan mber said it, they’d surely be locked up.

“Your Grace, where are we going now?”

“Let’s pick up the young lady first, then head to the Manhattan Hotel.” Andrew’s eyes glead, “I’ve heard so much about the exclusive maids at the Emperor’s Pavilion, this ti I must see for myself.”

“Er…”

The Blood Clan mbers in the car imdiately fell into silence, pretending not to hear that.

Nineteenth Street in Brooklyn District is a multi-ethnic area where all the residents live on subsidies.

This area has the poorest security and is one of the most impoverished regions.

Because there’s no profit here, even organizations are lazy to establish influence.

The streets are filled with holess people and idle thugs.

When five Rolls-Royces arrogantly stord in,

the riffraff scattered like birds and beasts.

Long-term life at the bottom has taught them the survival rules of Arica.

In a deserted park in the center of the street, red canopies were already set up on the barren ground.

Under the tent, a group of volunteers in pink jackets were busily distributing food.

This is a folk volunteer organization that mainly helps the holess,

by distributing clothes and food to help them through life’s difficulties.

All the team’s supplies co from various donated sources.

It was noon, and residents nearby and holess people crowding the streets surrounded the park so densely packed that you couldn’t see the ground.

A bag of bread, a carton of milk, a pair of socks was the gift prepared by the volunteer group this ti.

Volunteers had to distribute those gifts.

One lift, one pass, though it seems simple, each action repeated hundreds, even thousands of tis.

Not only is it monotonous and tasteless, but it’s also a significant ordeal for the arms.

Even though their arms ached, the volunteers in red jackets all bead with enthusiasm.

Every ti they handed out a gift, they’d give a sincere blessing, encouraging the recipient to get through their challenges.

Because they were all volunteering without expecting anything in return, motivated by a kind and compassionate heart.

Among these volunteers, however, there were a few who stood out like sore thumbs.

“Good heavens. This place is filthy and stinks; I don’t understand why the young lady would co to this godforsaken place?”

“Exactly. I bet their blood stinks too. Just thinking about being touched by these filthy humans makes want to kill them.”

“You better watch it; the young lady is right next to you.”

Upon hearing this, the Vampires dragged here for grunt work imdiately stopped their complaints.

Even the Marquis couldn’t avoid it, so these small Earls and Viscounts didn’t dare to continue griping.

“Here you go, ma’am, please take it.”

Alice handed the gift bag to a pair of calloused hands.

“Thank you, you’re truly a little angel.”

“You’re exaggerating.”

Alice shyly wriggled a bit, then softly reminded, “Take care on your way; don’t fall. We’ll be here next Wednesday too.”

“Thank you, my dear little angel.”

Watching the old woman leave, Alice prayed, “May God bless you with a lifeti of health and longevity.”

“Alice, you’re a good girl, truly an angel descended to earth.”

Looking at the tall, simply dressed, handso white man, Alice said bashfully, “President Adams, it’s my duty, you’re flattering too much.”

“No, you’re too humble. I’ve always noticed your dedication, and it’s heartening to have a mber like you in our team.”

As he said this, Adams flashed a sunny smile and extended his hand, “Let’s work together to keep this charity going.”

“Yes!”

Alice nodded shyly, shaking that equally warm hand, “I’ll definitely keep trying my best.”

“Keep trying!”

Adams made a cheering gesture and then said apologetically to those in line, “Sorry to have taken your ti, that was my fault.”

“It’s alright, we don’t mind.”

“President Adams, you’re a good person. It’s you who gave us poor folks a last bit of warmth.”

“Thank you, Mr. Adams.”

Listening to the resounding cheers around her, Alice gazed dreamily at that prominent figure.

Adams was the initiator of this volunteer activity, conducting this charity through storms for ten years without fail.

More and more people joined the group, inspired by Adam’s spirit.

The reputation of Adams’ Rescue Association was growing, holding a certain influence in the civilian areas of Brooklyn District.

Watching the crowd cheer for him, a strange glint appeared in Adams’ eyes, and he pressed his hands down softly.

The cheering residents instantly quieted down.

The mbers of the rescue association swelled with pride seeing Adams’ charm and appeal.

Alice, only eighteen, with her enchanting erald green eyes, was full of admiration.

“Arica is our common ho, not a tool for corporations to amass wealth. Corporations are heartless…”

Listening to Adams’ impassioned speech, the brightness in Alice’s eyes gradually dimd.

Adams was the staunchest opponent of the corporations, and under his influence, most mbers of the rescue association shared the sa beliefs.

But Alice’s family, the Morgan Family, was an overlord-level corporation.

If Alice hadn’t hidden her identity, she’d likely be politely shown out by the rescue association.

Listening to Adams’ condemnation of corporations, it seed to Alice that she was the one being scolded, with her family labeled as inveterate villains.

Yet Alice couldn’t muster any anger; instead, she thought, “Mr. Adams must have misunderstood us.”
