Capítulo 1695: Chapter 1684: Bar Celebration Party

The usually quiet bar is bustling today.

The small interior is decorated with lanterns and banners, one of which reads, “Warmly Celebrate President Adams’ Discharge from the Hospital.”

Today is the day Adams is discharged from the hospital, and to celebrate his safe return, the rescue association’s key mbers have pooled resources to host this celebration.

“Mr. President, I toast to your health.”

“My God, it’s so wonderful to see you safe and sound, Mr. President.”

“Mr. President, we’re still waiting for you to lead us in our work.”

Faced with the mbers’ concern, the elegant Adams felt uneasy, yet his green eyes road among the crowd, occasionally glancing towards the rotten wooden door.

It seed he didn’t find the person he wanted to see; Adams’ eyes were shadowed with gloom, yet his face wore a gentle smile, mingling with the mbers seamlessly.

It’s hard to say how much ti went by, but as the alcohol hit, many began to get drunk, and the celebratory atmosphere was not as lively as before.

Seeing this, Adams clapped his hands and smiled, saying, “Let’s call it a day for now. Everyone should head back early to rest; a new day is awaiting you all.”

Standing at the bar’s entrance, Adams advised those who weren’t drunk yet.

“Mr. Macken, you live relatively close to Sius; he’s drunk today, so please take him ho.”

“Mrs. Green, could you please see these ladies ho? Thanks!”

“Are you okay going back on your own? Be careful on the way.”

Amidst the voices of gratitude and praise, Adams humbly replied, “Please don’t say that. I wish you all sweet dreams tonight.”

Not until the crowd completely left did Adams mutter hatefully, “Finally, these people are gone.”

With alcohol stirring his thoughts towards so wonderful things, a flushed Adams loosened his tie, already breathing excitedly, eyes glinting with an animalistic desire.

“Worthless whore. Daddy is going to teach you a lesson today. Haha…”

At this mont, Adams’ face turned tight, feeling as though he’d fallen into an icy pit.

Adams shook his head quickly, saying, “No! I can’t go to that worthless whore today. Those people have found her. What a pity! Her skills are so good. God, it’s such a sha.”

“How did those people find that place? Could that worthless whore have betrayed ?”

Thinking of this, Adams walked suspiciously in another direction.

“Those damned bastards, finally they’re gone.”

Watching Adams leave, the bartender yawned complainingly; he could finally close up for the night.

Just then, a cold wind blew over, and the sudden chill awoke the bartender instantly.

“What was that thing that just ran past?”

The bartender rubbed his eyes, looking at the empty, chilly street, and then shook his head and hung a sign saying ‘Closed’.

“No matter what, I can’t go there anymore.”

On the isolated street, Adams was still reflecting on the earlier problem.

“That damned whore, she made so much money off and still dared to betray . Just wait…”

As he cursed under his breath, Adams’ eyes narrowed, staring intently at two shadows ahead.

Two delinquent youths with red-dyed hair and torn jeans.

“Who are you? Are you the remnants of Brooklyn?”

Then Adams shouted loudly, “You should have heard my na; I am Adams, the president of the rescue association.”

Late at night, Adams dared to wander alone through the streets and alleys of Brooklyn because of his identity.

To the legitimate residents living in Brooklyn, Adams is a great benefactor; he brings them milk and bread.

And the hoodlums wandering Brooklyn’s streets are all local residents’ children.

Under the residents’ tutelage, these hoodlums never harass mbers of the rescue association.

Thus, Adams holds significant stature in this area; usually, stating his identity would avoid trouble from riffraff.

At this mont, Adams still thought he encountered robbers and extortionists.

“You damned bastards and your damned families. You’ve grown up eating the bread I brought, yet dare to extort here.”

Adams dared to curse only in his heart, maintaining a smiling face while attempting to persuade and educate.

But soon, Adams felt panic; his persuasive education seed ineffective, as the delinquent youths were approaching with sneering expressions.

“Don’t you know ? I’m Adams, the president of the rescue association.”

In truth, Adams knew very well the wisest action now was to hand over his wallet and watch.

Better to lose so money than to end up stabbed.

In Brooklyn, whether at night or day, if going out, one must carry so small change, because you never know when two ard robbers might jump out from a corner.

This small change is specially prepared for these hoodlums.

If faced with a robbery and the hoodlums can’t extort money, they won’t graciously let you go; they’ll certainly not hesitate to use their knives.

This is one of the survival rules of Brooklyn.

Being seasoned in this area, Adams naturally understood this rule.

Usually, when going out, Adams would carry so US Dollar change for safety.

But today was different; already filled with pent-up anger, Adams had prepared five hundred-dollar bills in his wallet to vent his rage.

If this five hundred US dollars were robbed, it would hurt him more than if he had been carved out.

“I’m Adams, your friendly neighbor from Brooklyn.”

“Stop shouting. You’re the one we’re looking for.”

Upon hearing the voice from behind, Adams was startled; he would never forget this voice.

The owner of this voice had taken ten million from his arms.

“You were the ones from that night.”

Noticing the glinting cold light in their hands, Adams’ lips trembled as he quickly said, “Tell your master I agree with your demands. Ten million is ten million.”

“Hehe. But my master does not agree. He said he wants you to neither live nor die.”

“What…”

Adams had no ti to call for help before feeling a pain at his neck and then the world went dark as he fell unconscious.

“Take him away.”

Four mbers of the Blood Clan lifted Adams, disappearing like the wind.

At this mont, a magnetic male voice erged from a dark corner of the street, “May the Lord descend the Holy Light soon and cleanse all original sins from the world.”

As the voice faded, a tall man with dazzling blonde hair, clad in silver plate armor, erged from the corner.

Another person, a white-haired elderly man in robes, holding a magic wand, also stepped out from the corner.
