"No problem."
Alice definitely knew who the sucker the black driver ntioned was.
That's why the scene of the black driver pointing at the monk's bald head just now really amused her.
Especially Ning Fan's look of embarrassnt and helplessness,
Even now when Alice recalls it, she finds it particularly amusing.
"It seems I was mistaken. Ning Fan is not the kind of person who is belligerent and combative."
A hint of apology flashed in Alice's eyes.
All along, Alice's perception of Ning Fan wasn't particularly good.
Mainly because she found Ning Fan too fierce, with so violent tendencies.
For the mild-tempered Alice, it was a bit hard to accept.
But through today's incident, Alice suddenly realized.
In fact, Ning Fan is a very well-mannered person, without that kind of vindictive temperant, and has a very gentle nature deep down.
Ning Fan has never taken the initiative to provoke anyone; the harsh asures he takes are simply to protect the people most important in his heart.
Recalling the only two tis Ning Fan took action, Alice felt that Ning Fan seed not to have done anything wrong.
Sneaking a glance at Ning Fan, a phrase suddenly popped into Alice's mind, "A tiger in the heart, sniffing roses."
"If I were in danger, I wonder if he would risk his life to save like that?"
Then Alice shook her head secretly, "Impossible! We are just ordinary friends, and that Miss Huo is his lover. He has no reason to do so."
For a mont, Alice felt imnsely envious of Huo Qiuran, envious that she had such a man by her side.
"Honest, kind, gentle, rciful... If his thods could be a bit more gentle, then Ning Fan would be just like Mr. Adams, the most chivalrous noble.
Thinking of this, Alice mused to herself, "Find a chance to persuade him to stay away from Daddy."
Alice didn't want a good man like Ning Fan to be led astray by her unscrupulous father.
At this mont, the gentleman in Alice's heart was full of complaints,
"Bick, you chatterbox. I think you've been too comfortable lately, talking nonsense. This ti I must teach you a good lesson."
Thinking of Bick's circle buzzing about that sucker guy, Ning Fan was filled with anger.
Originally, he was planning to fly to Las Vegas, but with this happening, the petty Ning Fan wouldn't let him off easily.
"Alice, why are you still here?"
Hearing this, Alice, lost in her rambling thoughts, panicked, "What's wrong?"
"Weren't you here to find soone?"
Following Ning Fan's gaze, Alice's face turned beet red, "Sorry, I'll be right back."
Ahead, a sign hung from the window on the second floor of the low three-story old building, with large letters saying "Adams Rescue Association."
The purpose of Alice coming here was obvious.
Though Ning Fan was eager to et this legendary philanthropist,
thinking Alice might be troubled by it, he didn't bring it up.
He thought it might take so ti, but before ten minutes had passed, Ning Fan saw Alice return looking disappointed.
"Is he not here?"
"Mhm."
Alice nodded, and said disappointedly, "Mr. Adams is away on a business trip."
Ning Fan asked puzzledly, "A business trip? Isn't this his workplace? Where else does he need to go on a business trip?"
"Maybe he went sowhere to fundraise."
"Perhaps."
Ning Fan pondered, feeling sothing was strange, but couldn't pinpoint what.
"Mr. Adams is really a passionate person, just recovered from illness and already bustling with work."
Upon hearing this, Ning Fan finally realized what was off.
It's not like there aren't people who jump back into work as soon as they recover, and so dedicated people even work while sick.
But Adams is different; he's the chairman of a rescue association, and regular tasks include fundraising or organizing relief activities.
These all require a large amount of preparation.
Needless to say about relief activities, even the planning and preliminary preparation take a few days.
Fundraising likewise, whether it's appealing to the public for donations or approaching wealthy individuals, is a long process.
It's definitely not just giving an account number and hoping for random amounts.
And now it's only about 9 AM, and Adams is not in his office, suggesting a very rushed departure.
Ning Fan couldn't think of what could be so urgent.
Ning Fan frowned and couldn't help but ask, "Did he say where he's going or for how long?"
"No. Mr. Adams's secretary said that when she ca to the office this morning, she received a voicemail, and the president said in the call that he had an urgent matter to attend to out of town. Uncle Andrew would handle the rescue association's matters."
"Oh!"
Ning Fan raised his eyebrows, imdiately sensing sothing suspicious.
"Who's Andrew?"
"The vice-chairman of the rescue association, mainly responsible for organizing relief activities. Uncle Andrew is a good person and one of the association's earliest mbers."
Ning Fan asked puzzledly, "And what about Adams' work?"
"The president usually manages fundraising, and when he has ti, he cos to the site to direct activities."
"Interesting!"
"What's wrong?"
Noticing the doubt in Alice's eyes, Ning Fan shook his head with a smile, "Nothing. In that case, let's co back next ti."
Alice hesitated, "According to Su Shan, the president seems to be away for a long ti this ti."
"That's perfect. By the ti you return from Ryan Town, maybe Adams will be back."
That's what he said, but Ning Fan shook his head secretly.
This President Adams is likely not coming back.
An abrupt business trip is suspicious enough, especially with just a phone ssage that carries a tone of farewell.
In Ning Fan's perspective, either Adams ran away or was hard.
"The likelihood of running away isn't high. If he wanted to run, he would have done so long ago. How could he have been in the mood to attend last night's celebration."
Connecting with the fact that Adams was suddenly attacked and hospitalized, Ning Fan felt that being hard was most likely.
"Though the vice chairman has a motive, still, if he wanted to act, he would have done it long ago. Besides, it's just a small rescue association. Even if there were benefits, it's not worth enduring for over a decade and then committing murder for position."
Ning Fan's eyes lit up, bursting with an incredibly bright light of wisdom.
At this mont, Ning Fan seed like the fusion of all the world's great detectives, asserting loudly in his heart, "There is only one truth: the ones who acted were either the Blood Clan or the Morgan Family."
For this is the most logical and reasonable.
Even with just a few words, Ning Fan could see that Adams was suspicious of seducing Alice,
let alone the Blood Clan who protect her night and day, they surely would have noticed sothing.
The Blood Clan doesn't bother with evidence; even if Adams hadn't seduced or even thought of it.
