"You forced , you wretch. I didn't mind you being a Vampire, yet you dare to look down on ."
Glancing subtly in a certain direction, Adams said apologetically, "Please forgive my previous rudeness. I wish you all the best in finding love."
"Thank you. It's an honor to receive your blessing."
Alice's face flushed with a tinge of embarrassnt; her earlier words had all been wishful thinking.
Looking at the stunningly beautiful Alice, Adams felt a heart-wrenching pain, as if his most cherished toy had been snatched away.
"Damn it. If I can't have it, no one else can."
A flash of malice flickered in Adams' eyes, then he laughed heartily, "Shall we walk and talk?"
"Um... I think you should go for a check-up at the hospital now."
Alice, feeling so resistance, had to use this as an excuse.
"No need. I feel better than ever. I can't wait to throw myself into work."
Adams continued, "I just want to understand the current situation of the rescue organization. You know what happened to ."
Hearing this, Alice felt a wave of awkwardness.
During the following conversation, seeing Adams not bringing up the topic of love, Alice sighed in relief.
Discussing topics related to the rescue organization, they walked through the heart of the garden.
Focusing on suggesting improvents for the organization, Alice didn't notice the white cross erging not far ahead.
If there were any others from the Blood Clan present, they might have felt the cross' damaging effects.
But Alice, unafraid of Holy Power, felt nothing at all.
The church's cross, affected by the Power of Prayers from Believers praying day and night, had gained a trace of Holy Power, capable of resisting dark forces.
"Mr. Adams, I think the biggest problem for the rescue organization right now is the lack of personnel. We should call for more people to join. I know a TV station that can do an exclusive for the organization..."
It wasn't just knowing them; the station was entirely a Morgan Family business.
"TV publicity, what a great opportunity, it could make famous overnight."
Listening to the various dia industries Alice ntioned, Adams felt a bit of regret, but it was too late now.
Adams had already seen Raphael's figure from a corner.
"Mr. Adams, what's wrong with you..."
While speaking, Alice noticed the church ahead.
"How did we end up at the church?"
Alice paused with a confused look, then stamred, "Mr. Adams, let's head this way."
Though Alice wasn't afraid of Holy Power, under the long-term influence of the Blood Clan, she viewed churches as monstrous threats and naturally avoided them.
"Oh no! My stomach feels a bit uncomfortable, you wait here, I'll be right back."
Leaving those words, Adams hurriedly fled, clutching his stomach.
"What's going on? Have I triggered the side-effects improperly?"
As Alice wondered, her face suddenly tensed, sensing sothing amiss.
Alice could distinctly feel a massive wave of Magic Power emanating from the ground beneath her feet.
"This wave of Magic Power feels so familiar, just like dad said..."
"Holy Power."
Alice spat out the words with a tense face, then retreated quickly, but it was already too late.
"Holy Light Purgatory!"
The ground suddenly glowed with a scorching white light. If viewed from above, one would notice the white light outlining a massive hexagram pattern.
Just as Alice was leaving the Magic Formation, a milky white crescent Light Blade sliced through the air toward her.
The Light Blade was incredibly sharp, effortlessly cutting a wound across Alice's shoulder.
In less than a second, the trendous force of the Light Blade instantly sent Alice flying back into the formation.
No one noticed a small keychain-sized statue falling from Alice's pocket as she was thrown, landing just outside the formation.
As Alice landed, the already dazzling white light surged by threefold, transforming into countless milky white beams.
These beams intertwined and entangled, extending from the tips of the hexagram, weaving into a massive light net in the sky.
The almost complete light net looked like an upside-down bowl, continuously descending.
With the net's weaving, the gap above beca increasingly smaller,
Seeing this, Alice hurriedly flew toward the sky,
If she didn't escape before the net closed, she would undoubtedly be trapped here.
Just as Alice was about to escape,
four solid voices rang out simultaneously, "Holy Light Slash!"
As the voice fell, four crescent Light Blades, varying in size and about twenty centiters in length, flew from all directions, slashing at Alice in mid-air.
As the Light Blades drew nearer, the four blades ford a cross-like knife formation.
Glancing at the wound on her shoulder, a resolute look flashed in Alice's eyes, yet she continued her ascent without slowing down.
In an instant, the knife formation hit Alice, leaving her entire body with four bloody gashes from top to bottom.
Despite the grueso injuries, a hint of joy flashed in Alice's eyes.
This ti, prepared psychologically, she wasn't thrown by the force of the Light Blades.
Though her speed slightly reduced, her montum wasn't diminished; Alice continued her ascent towards the sky.
At the very last mont before escaping, sothing happened that plunged Alice into despair.
A half-ter-long Light Blade struck suddenly,
with a crisp sound, Alice's left shoulder shattered into fragnts on impact, and her body uncontrollably plumted downward.
Alice looked at the sky in despair, watching helplessly as the light net ford.
Seeing this, Raphael's tense mood finally relaxed, then he glared at Stuart.
From the initiation to the formation of the Holy Light Purgatory Formation, there was a three-second buffer period.
These three seconds seed slow, but to a master, it was enough ti to do many things.
Especially for the speedy Blood Clan, three seconds was more than enough ti for them to escape.
To seize these three seconds, Raphael and his side had planned in advance; five Paladins would act together, using their strength superior to mages to entangle Alice and provide ample ti for the formation to complete.
The plan was good, but at the crucial mont, there was a small hiccup—Stuart hesitated, almost letting Alice escape.
This was what irritated Raphael.
Facing his companion's accusing gaze, Stuart felt sowhat ashad, but inside, a voice told him that his hesitation was not wrong.
"But I still acted."
Stuart sighed silently, becoming increasingly burdened with heavy thoughts.
Staring at the ford light cage, Alice relentless continued her attempts to break free.
But aside from accumulating more injuries, the light cage showed no sign of deformation.
