Capítulo 1765: Chapter 1754: Angel Wings
“The Sanctuary of Light has stood unshaken for millennia, once single-handedly suppressing the Alien Clan. The foundation of the Sanctuary is not as simple as you imagine.”
At this point, Hilde’s expression turned icy as he said, “Ning Fan, I will give you one last chance. You can still leave now.”
Hilde had absolute confidence in turning the tables, thanks to the secret treasure bestowed upon him by the Pope.
This secret treasure was originally ant to counter the Prince of the Morgan Family.
In Hilde’s view, although Ning Fan was troubleso, he did not carry the weight of a prince; Hilde was reluctant to use the secret treasure on Ning Fan, which seed too wasteful.
According to the Pope’s habits, if he bestows a heavy treasure, it is as if he has given it away.
Such a precious secret treasure would never be used by Hilde unless absolutely necessary, when he was in a life-or-death situation.
And now, that ti was still far off.
Seeing Ning Fan remain silent, Hilde continued, “Regarding the matter just now, the Sanctuary of Light can choose not to pursue it, and both sides can let it go. What do you think?”
Ning Fan pondered, “Agreed. Release Alice, and we will both stop here.”
Hilde shook his head and said, “Anything but that—you can propose any other condition.”
“Why did you capture Alice?”
After speaking, Ning Fan sneered, “Don’t give so nonsense about exorcising demons for humanity; your sins are no fewer than the Alien Clan’s.”
A trace of embarrassnt flashed across Hilde’s face, and he said angrily, “In any case, this matter does not concern you.”
At this mont, Alice said, “The Sanctuary wants to brainwash and make one of them.”
Seeing Ning Fan’s mocking expression, Hilde was infuriated and shouted, “What exactly do you want?”
“I want your life.”
Ning Fan’s figure flashed, and a massive fist whooshed through the air, smashing fiercely into that old face.
The sudden attack startled Hilde, and when he noticed the crack appearing on the Crystal Barrier, he was even more shocked.
“Holy Light Domain!”
Hilde used most of his Holy Power to cast this magic, aiming to slow Ning Fan down.
Fearing it wasn’t enough, Hilde continued to chant, “Slow Technique!”
Seizing this mont, Hilde rapidly floated backward, increasing the distance between himself and Ning Fan.
But Hilde didn’t take the opportunity to flee. He knew very well that these two spells wouldn’t delay him for long.
With Ning Fan’s speed, he would soon be able to catch up.
“Where did this Ning Fan co from? To be able to neutralize magic power, it truly is incredible.”
Watching as Ning Fan slowed down, a deep gloom fell over Hilde’s eyes; ultimately, he still couldn’t make a decision.
Whether burning his Holy Soul or using the secret treasure, none of these were his choices.
The secret treasure was extrely powerful but could only be used once, as it was a consumable.
Burning the Holy Soul ant burning life; although under the tempering of Holy Power, Hilde had already surpassed human life expectancy,
the older one gets, the more they fear death, especially those in high positions.
Faced with an opponent he couldn’t kill nor escape from, for a mont, Hilde truly had no solution.
“Perhaps he’s already reached his limit.”
As Hilde watched the increasingly thin Seven-Colored Protective Shield, he continued to cast magic attacks with a sliver of optimism, depleting Ning Fan’s True Qi.
When Ning Fan, enduring Wind Blades and Fireballs, once again dealt a visible crack on the Crystal Barrier, Hilde was utterly panicked.
“Ning Fan, you’ve pushed to this! Today’s the day you die.”
Hilde scread shrilly and then took out a transparent rhomboid crystal.
“What is this? A Magic Crystal Stone?”
Noticing the white feather enveloped within the crystal, Alice scread frantically, “Ning Fan, escape quickly! Don’t worry about . Run!”
Ning Fan was puzzled, “What on earth is going on?”
“This is…”
“Too late.”
Hilde sneered coldly and then cried out, “Most High Holy Lord, your humble believer beseeches your rcy and implores you to send forth your envoy.”
With that, the crystal in Hilde’s hand floated in mid-air, then dissolved like ice.
Looking at the white feather floating in the air, Alice appeared grim, her sapphire eyes lingering on Ning Fan, as if wanting to rember that face forever.
She knew exactly what the feather represented; it was knowledge that every mber of the Blood Clan had to rember firmly, even though it had beco a kind of legend.
Now that the legend was unfolding in reality, Alice had already resigned herself to the coming outco.
“What is this?”
Ning Fan’s face tightened as he felt the grand Holy Power emanating from the feather.
The abundance of this Holy Power surpassed Hilde’s, yet it was rely released by a single feather.
Under the nourishnt of the white feather, Hilde’s nearly depleted Holy Power was being quickly replenished.
“Angel Envoy who serves my Lord, heed my summons. Descend—Holy Angel.”
“Angel! An angel with bird wings? But isn’t that just a myth?”
Ning Fan’s eyes widened, even doubting his own hearing.
Ning Fan exclaid in surprise, “So this bird feather cos from an angel.”
Hilde said coldly, “Silence. How dare you blasphe the servants beside my Lord. Sinner, today is the day you end your sinful life.”
As he said this, Hilde’s heart bled.
Indeed. The secret treasure bestowed by the Pope was an Angel Wing.
This wing ca from an angel, and through the Sanctuary’s Secret Technique, could summon an Angel Projection.
“Angels are true Divine Spirits! Even the power of their projections can make the peak of the world. Yet now it is wasted on a human.”
At this thought, Hilde wished he could flay Ning Fan alive; he had already devised various tortures to use on this sinner later.
Just then, the white feather began to burn, not with orange flas, but strands of white light.
As the white light dispersed, the clouds above parted to reveal an exceedingly brilliant beam of light, enveloping Hilde within.
Hilde gritted his teeth and said, “The Gate of Heaven is open. This ti, you’re dood.”
Gazing at the Angel Projection in the sky, it was exactly as depicted in myth and legend.
With snow-white wings, a handso face, dual wings at the ribs, and wielding a burning holy sword.
Ning Fan’s expression changed dramatically; he sensed an invincible aura from the projection.
Under this chilling aura, Ning Fan felt the shadow of death.
Seeing this scene, Hilde heaved a sigh of relief.
He had only heard of the Angel Wing’s great na and never witnessed anyone else use it; he was genuinely worried it might be more showy than practical.
At this mont, the Angel Wing’s effect mirrored the situation described in the Sanctuary’s secret records; now Hilde only needed to await the projection’s possession.
“I must prevent the projection from possessing him.”
At this point, the Angel Projection was gently descending from high above, approaching Hilde.
