Capítulo 1785: Chapter 1774: Gold Yuan Paving the Way

With their current wind-blown three-mile stench, no shop on Fifth Avenue was willing to welco them.

Fortunately, with US Dollars paving the way, these issues ceased to be issues.

In a mid-tier suit shop, not only did they change into new clothes, but they also managed to take a shower in the staff break room.

Of course, these services ca at a steep price.

While swiping the card to pay, Zhang Bo muttered in Huaxia, looking at the sycophantic staff, “You complained about my stench, but now my money doesn’t stink, huh?”

Ning Fan chuckled without saying anything.

The shop’s perspective wasn’t wrong; they certainly had to consider other custors.

Two stinky people would definitely affect other shoppers’ experiences.

However, the change in attitude was a bit too fast.

“Brother Bo, thank you.”

Ning Fan didn’t want Zhang Bo to spend money, but apart from the tattered clothes on him, everything else had turned to dust under the scour of black Holy Power.

“We’re brothers, no need to be so formal. Co on, let’s eat a big al.”

After feasting, under the curious gazes of other diners, Ning Fan left the restaurant unfazed.

“Brother Ning, now I truly believe you were hungry.”

Recalling Ning Fan’s ravenous scene earlier, Zhang Bo still found it hard to believe.

The whole table, enough to fill at least five people, all went into Ning Fan’s stomach.

“Would you believe if I said I’m not full yet?”

“Brother, that’s not funny.”

Seeing Zhang Bo heading back to the restaurant, Ning Fan hurriedly stopped him.

Ning Fan quickly said, “I was just joking.”

Actually, it wasn’t quite a joke; if Ning Fan were to really let loose, he could eat an entire cow set before him. Though that would be too outlandish.

The energy from food can help Ning Fan recover from his injuries, though it’s not as efficient as the stream of Divine Power.

“Brother Ning, I’ve told you many tis, don’t be so polite with , eat freely and play freely.”

Zhang Bo patted his chest boastfully, “I’m not short on cash.”

Ning Fan laughed, “I’m as broke as my face now; during this ti, I’ll be clinging to your big sturdy leg.”

Until his body was fully recovered, Ning Fan wasn’t planning to contact the Blood Clan.

It wasn’t that he didn’t trust the Blood Clan, but Ning Fan preferred to keep control over everything himself.

“It’s good you think that way.”

Zhang Bo laughed heartily, then hesitated, “Why… never mind, I won’t say.”

“There’s nothing that can’t be said.”

Ning Fan made a benign lie.

While on a business trip, he was extorted and robbed clean by thugs and then thrown into the hotel’s back alley.

“Money is just an external possession; if it’s gone, it’s gone.”

Zhang Bo comforted him and then cautioned, “In the future, you better be careful. This place isn’t the sa as it is back ho. At night, best not to go out, definitely don’t take alleys.”

“I was careless this ti.”

Ning Fan asked again, “Brother Bo, why are you here?”

Zhang Bo had a wry face, “Don’t ntion it, I planned to have so fun tonight, but everything was bloody closed, then I ended up drinking quite a bit.”

Ning Fan said with relief, “Luckily you drank a few more, otherwise I’d still be lying there.”

Zhang Bo optimistically said, “Haha… indeed. This is destiny for us brothers. Let’s go back and have a few more drinks.”

As it turned out, Zhang Bo happened to stay at the Empire Hotel, felt an urgent need to relieve himself, and that’s how he ran into Ning Fan.

Though Ning Fan didn’t have identification to check into the hotel.

With US Dollars paving the way, there were ways around this.

Zhang Bo upgraded the room to a suite, then Ning Fan checked in as a guest, and everything was sorted.

Upon entering, Zhang Bo cheerfully suggested, “Should we call a few ladies to spice things up?”

“Let’s skip today, Brother Bo, do you think I’m in any condition right now?”

Ning Fan gave a helpless smile.

Even though Ning Fan appeared mobile. Only he knew he was moving on willpower alone.

As the saying goes, muscle and bone injuries take a hundred days; even with Divine Power to repair, broken bones aren’t so easily healed.

With each step, Ning Fan felt like he was walking on hot coals, enduring the burning pain.

“I forgot. Then brother, you take a good rest first.”

Not long after Zhang Bo left, the weary Ning Fan fell into slumber.

For Ning Fan, it was a rare night for rest.

Yet, for others, this night was destined to be sleepless.

Under the night sky, countless people were anxiously scurrying through the streets of New York.

They were like sewer rats, combing through every street and alley in their own way.

So hidden places, not even noted on maps, were explored.

It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say they turned New York City upside down.

Yet despite this, they found nothing, all the suspected Asians in photos were not the target.

The entire search process began in the afternoon and persisted until dawn, but none gave up.

Not because they didn’t want to, but because they couldn’t.

The gang mbers were like vicious dogs, relentlessly supervising them, not giving them a mont to breathe.

Unless these hoodlums escaped jurisdiction, they had no choice but to drag their weary bodies and continue the search.

The mobsters were under no less pressure, with orders from the boss driving them like rabid dogs, to search the streets.

“Damn it, where is this Asian guy?”

The huge pressure from prolonged searching with no result, coupled with physical fatigue, had turned many from the frenzy of the bounty to venting grievances in their hearts.

The nightti search operation, though didn’t interfere with ordinary people much,

in so eyes, it seed to signal sothing different.

In a dark corner, seeing a group depart vigorously, Stuart finally dared to speak, “Hilde Archbishop, are you alright?”

“I’m alright.”

Under the moonlight, from Stuart’s broad-shouldered silhouette, erged Hilde’s aged face.

Since leaving, Hilde hadn’t imdiately left New York.

He was well aware of Clan Leader Morgan’s arrival, signifying that New York was already sealed off.

Critically injured, Hilde didn’t have the assurance to break through the Blood Clan’s blockade, so he’s been hiding in New York.

“Archbishop, let help you recover from your injuries first.”

Glimpsing bats flying under the night sky, Hilde’s eyes flashed coldly, then he shook his head, “No need. The fluctuation of Holy Power will attract the gaze of these demons.”

“Alright.”

Stuart wasn’t unaware of this fact but still worried about Hilde’s injuries, “Can your body hold up?”

“No need to worry, my child.”

With the Angel Projection, Hilde’s current miserable state was only temporary.

As long as he was given enough ti, everything lost would return.

“Stuart, how did you know where I was?”
