Capítulo 1894: Chapter 1883: Storage Divine Artifact

“You wouldn’t send those scumbags to…”

Suddenly dissatisfied, Ning Fan realized that soone like Chen Min, an outsider, couldn’t possibly deal with the authorities, especially given her mysterious background.

Chen Min was able to teach at Dawn Elentary School entirely because the principal appreciated her proficiency in Chinese studies and made an exception to hire her, even solving her identity issues.

Otherwise, she would be traveling around Earth under another identity.

“You an…”

As he spoke, Ning Fan glanced at the ground.

Seeing Chen Min nod in confirmation, a trace of surprise flashed in Ning Fan’s eyes.

In his impression, prominent sects always seed particularly pedantic, adhering to various rules with an inexplicable sense of compassion.

They usually show leniency towards wrongdoers.

Whether in reality or in film scripts.

Every ti he saw such a scene, Ning Fan felt utterly annoyed.

Originally, he thought Chen Min would be the sa, being a woman, but he was completely caught off guard by her decisive and extraordinary nature.

“Nicely done.”

Ning Fan couldn’t help but give a thumbs up in admiration.

Chen Min softly said, “I thought you would bla for being too bloodthirsty.”

“Not at all. They’re just a bunch of beasts worse than pigs and dogs.”

After speaking, Ning Fan frowned and asked, “What about Mingyu’s face?”

“Don’t worry. Everything will be fine once we return to the sect.”

“That’s good. Let’s get going.”

Having few possessions, Chen Min didn’t have much, just a simple satchel.

The girl Mingyu was also carrying a backpack, and judging by the signs of it swaying, Ning Fan concluded that it was empty inside.

It makes sense; the Immortal Sect repels all objects. To pass through, one must use spiritual energy for protection, and the more things they bring, the more spiritual energy is consud.

At this mont, Ning Fan quietly transmitted, “Is there a divine artifact like a storage bracelet in the Earth Immortal Realm?”

“Divine artifact?”

A hint of a smile flashed in Chen Min’s eyes, then she said, “Ordinary spiritual artifacts have storage functions, differing only in space size. As for the storage divine artifact you ntioned, it’s said to contain a realm, create worlds, and form a real world.”

“A real world?”

Hearing this, Ning Fan’s eyes nearly popped out, “Is it possible that our current world is inside so storage divine artifact?”

“It’s possible.” Chen Min smiled gently, “But that’s just a legend, so don’t take it too seriously.”

“Probably just a legend. Otherwise, it would be too terrifying.”

Ning Fan glanced up at the sky, unable to fathom what kind of object could contain this universe.

“Then why don’t you have one?”

Curious, Ning Fan scrutinized Chen Min’s slender jade-like fingers and wrists but didn’t see any rings or bracelet-type accessories.

Under the unabashedly direct gaze, Chen Min seed to be scorched, quickly retracting her hands.

Chen Min explained softly, “The void power within the Immortal Sect makes storage spiritual artifacts ineffective, causing items inside to dissipate or disappear.”

“So that’s how it is.”

Ning Fan nodded, then said, “Can we leave now?”

“We’re ready to go.”

As she spoke, Chen Min took the girl’s hand and said, “Mingyu, let’s go.”

Mingyu, who had been silent, moved her lips slightly,

“Sister, where are we going now.”

If it weren’t for the decent hearing of those present, they might not have heard Mingyu’s whisper.

Chen Min softly replied, “To that ho sister told you about.”

“Back to our ho!”

Mingyu’s bewildered eyes gradually brightened, with her upturned lips betraying inner joy.

With sowhat exaggerated movents, the muscle at her burn scars was pulled, making the already grotesque scars appear even more terrifying.

Witnessing this, Ning Fan felt a pang in his heart.

“Let’s go.”

Chen Min seed indifferent.

This wasn’t due to cold-heartedness; a taoist cultivator’s state of mind undergoes rigorous refining, with a resilience beyond ordinary people.

Moreover, upon returning to the Earth Immortal Realm, Chen Min has ways to restore Mingyu’s original appearance, so she didn’t really worry.

Soon, Chen Min realized she was mistaken.

As they were about to leave, Mingyu suddenly stood still and refused to step out.

Chen Min asked softly, “What’s wrong with Mingyu?”

No matter how much Chen Min asked, Mingyu just bowed her head without saying a word.

Seeing this, Ning Fan’s eyes flashed, then he transmitted, “When did you rescue Mingyu?”

“At night.”

Ning Fan continued questioning, “Has Mingyu been out since arriving here?”

“No.”

Chen Min shook her head, “I usually have to go to school, and it’s inconvenient for soone to be here, so I advised her not to wander around. She was obedient, never going out.”

“That’s the issue.”

“You an…”

“I’ll explain when I get back.”

With those words, Ning Fan dashed downstairs, leaving the puzzled Chen Min waiting.

Not long after, Ning Fan returned.

“You actually went to buy these things?”

Chen Min looked in surprise at what Ning Fan was holding—a toy mask, a bag of snacks.

Ning Fan didn’t answer, instead squatting down to say, “Mingyu, look, I bought you sothing—a mask of a beautiful girl.”

Seeing him unravel the mask, Chen Min only then noticed several masks stacked together.

“So many masks, do you like them?”

“I… like them.”

“Then it’s yours, from .”

Mingyu glanced timidly at Chen Min, and after getting her nod of approval, she softly said, “Thank you.”

“Good girl.”

After handing over the mask, Ning Fan patted Mingyu’s little head and said, “Let’s go.”

“But…”

Watching Mingyu hold the mask lovingly, Chen Min swallowed back her remaining words.

Wearing the mask, Mingyu had already stepped out the door.

“Is it because she’s afraid to face people because of the scars on her face?”

Finally understanding, Chen Min hesitated and transmitted, “But what does it matter? It’s just appearance, rely a shell.”

Hearing this, Ning Fan almost choked on his own saliva.

What little girl would willingly accept the strange glances from outsiders and the curses of “freak”?

“After all, she’s just a little girl. Her self-esteem is quite strong, and she’s embarrassed to go out like this.”

“If one can’t face their true self, relying on a mask to deceive themselves, how can they refine their state of mind and pursue the path?”

Seeing Chen Min’s slightly angry expression, Ning Fan said with a mix of humor and helplessness, “How old are you? Mingyu is just a child; reasoning like this is too early for her.”

“I…”

This question made Chen Min blush; in the Earth Immortal Realm, she’s not considered old.

But on Earth, she’s old enough to be Ning Fan’s mother.

Chen Min defiantly retorted, “I understood this at Mingyu’s age.”

“You were born in the Earth Immortal Realm; naturally, you’re capable of understanding early due to constant imrsion. But Mingyu is different; she grew up amidst disdain and abuse, with a fragile soul.”

Ning Fan gently advised, “She’s yet to grow strong enough to bear all this.”
