674: Chapter 663: The Mission Failed!

Nanyu was filled with resentnt as he watched Ah Feng.

Realizing that there was soone even slightly faster than himself—in the area of speed where he excelled—he felt for the first ti such a strong desire to kill a person.

Unlike the three assassins who were making a desperate final stand, Nanyu’s sole objective at this mont was to kill Ah Feng.

The three assassins bypassed Ah Lei and Ah Dian, charging straight into the crowd to carry out their final massacre.

Watching their actions, Ah Lei and Ah Dian’s eyes were bloodshot with rage.

Ah Yu also pivoted his gun at this mont, aiming at two of them, but found it difficult to pull the trigger.

“Die!”

Ah Lei struck with fury.

Upon seeing a comrade clutching onto a person, he punched toward the assassin’s head.

With a crash, the assailant’s head burst open like a waterlon on the spot.

Blood spattered everywhere, and as ti passed, the remaining two assassins, after inflicting so losses on the estate’s forces, were killed.

In the end, only Nanyu remained in the courtyard.

Unaware that his companions had all been slain, and that another had left them behind, he continued his frenzied attack on Ah Feng.

At that mont, the four of them — Feng, Yu, Lei, and Dian — joined forces.

After a brief consultation, they captured the man.

“Keep him alive!”

Ah Feng reminded them, as they needed to extract useful intelligence from this man.

Without another word, Ah Lei picked up a chunk of flesh from the ground and stuffed it into the mouth of Nanyu, who was snarling like a mad dog.

“Bring him in.”

Ah Dian said to Ah Lei, knowing that if they wanted to get useful information from the man, naturally the task would fall to him.

With his hypnotic abilities, it wasn’t difficult for him to extract valuable intel from this man’s mouth.

Ah Lei bound Nanyu tightly and, grabbing him by the neck, followed Ah Dian, while Ah Feng and Ah Yu stayed behind to continue patrolling, on guard for anyone who might return to attack the estate.

The night regained its calm, but the atmosphere within the estate was sowhat tense.

The daylight hours had passed with little loss of life, but because of those five assassins, they had lost dozens of n, which was not good news for them.

Gazing in the direction from which the sole surviving assassin had escaped, Ah Yu was filled with deep concern.

“Who are they exactly…”

To train such assassins, the organization behind them was definitely not a simple enemy.

Under the cover of night, a figure walked into the woods, removed his cloak, and reached with his right hand to his left shoulder, emotionlessly extracting the bullet embedded there.

Blood began to pour from the wound on his left shoulder, but he seed to feel no pain, showing no significant reaction except for a paler complexion.

“Why have you returned alone?”

Gege Ros stepped out, using the light filtering through the trees to reveal his exceedingly grim expression.

He searched behind the assassin but did not see the figure he was expecting.

“The mission failed.”

The assassin replied in a very formal manner.

Tonight’s mission had failed because of the fool under Gege Ros’s command—if not for him, they might have had the chance to continue the mission, perhaps even managing to take out Chen Fengnan.

Upon hearing this, Gege Ros’s expression darkened, his eyes filled with murderous intent.

He looked at the returning assassin and said coldly, “You know the consequences of mission failure, don’t you?”

In the assassin’s dictionary, mission failure is equivalent to death.

Only those who return successful from their missions live, while those who fail only have death awaiting them.

The assassin didn’t speak but instead glanced over Gege Ros’s shoulder.

“Gege Ros, enough already.

This was just a test, after all.

Sending them, did you really think they could succeed?”

Rupert’s voice, filled with scorn, rose from behind Gege Ros.

He stepped out, his gaze mockingly fixed on Gege Ros.

Gege Ros turned black with rage, turning his head to stare coldly at Rupert.

The mission was, of course, just a test.

The assassins sent were indeed among the elite of their organization, but sending only five of them to carry out this task was a bit too much to ask.

“He should have co back alive.

Without his return, how could we clearly understand the true strength of the Four King Kongs beside Chen Fengnan?”

“No assassin who fails can live, these are the exact words of Lord Dikas himself!”

“But Lord Andorra also said that one must know how to adapt to changing situations.

Isn’t this adapting?

And who said his mission failed?

Wasn’t this mission just to test the enemy’s depth?

Let’s listen to what he has to say; I bet there will be so valuable information.”

Rupert refused to be outdone when Gege Ros tried to pressure him using the late Dikas, and countered by ntioning the na of Pavilion Master Andorra.

The two argued for a while, but in the end, it was Rupert who won.

Gege Ros couldn’t get the better of Rupert and left in a huff.

“Co, tell , is Gege Ros’s pet dead?”

Rupert asked with interest.

The assassin shook his head uncertainly; if it were a qualified assassin, then Nanyu would certainly be dead.

However, precisely because he knew that person wasn’t fit to be an assassin, he wasn’t entirely sure.

Seeing him shake his head, Rupert was sowhat disappointed.

But thinking of that man, who had no real skills yet acted like a rabid dog, he presud he wouldn’t last much longer and hence didn’t linger on the question.

“Then tell , what about the so-called Four King Kongs around Chen Fengnan?

How strong are they really?”

“Not to be feared.”

The returned assassin thought for a mont before giving such an assessnt.

The standard of comparision was not himself, but the Rupert in front of him.

Indeed, the Four King Kongs of storm, lightning, rain, and thunder were not to be feared.

If either Rupert or Gege Ros had been there that night, in his view, there was a high probability that the operation would have been successful.

The regret was that tonight was just a probe; after realizing the utter disappointnt with Nanyu, he understood why soone like him had been sent—it was part of the plan to expose him.

“Oh, I see.

I had so expectations, actually.”

Rupert didn’t believe that the other party would lie to him.

Now that he had received such news from him, they had probably played around enough.

It was ti to prepare for the total assault on Chen Fengnan and his group.

As for whether to infiltrate and assassinate again, Rupert thought there was no need.

He would personally lead a team to break in, aiming to behead Chen Fengnan by tomorrow evening and bring it back.
