“May I ask what brings you to my ho today?”
Xu Ruolan asked cautiously. After Ning Fan’s previous warning, she no longer saw Teng Yun Geshang as a simple overseas entrepreneur but rather as soone potentially dangerous.

Xu Ruolan nodded, casting Teng Yun Geshang a deep look before turning around and walking back into the house.
Once Xu Ruolan was gone, Teng Yun Geshang’s sly fox-like nature erged. He smiled with added insinuation: “Ning Fan, you’re quite fortunate to be accompanied by such a beauty. Life must be treating you well?”
“Naturally. It’s sothing others can only envy. On that note, I’ve been aning to ask—did Fei Peilie relay my ssage to you?”
A sneer played on Ning Fan’s lips, his expression riddled with mockery.
At the ntion of this, Teng Yun Geshang’s face subtly changed, though not to the extre extent Ning Fan expected. “Of course. It seems inviting you takes considerable effort—enough to warrant my personal visit!”
Ning Fan looked at Teng Yun Geshang with so surprise, finding it odd that his temper appeared so mild. If Fei Peilie indeed conveyed his ssage, wouldn’t Teng Yun Geshang’s reaction be far fiercer?
Ning Fan had fully expected a more impassioned response.

Teng Yun Geshang got straight to the point. His purpose for today’s visit was to invite Ning Fan to the banquet, and he wasted no ti getting there.
“Invite to your banquet? Sounds more like a Hongn Feast,” Ning Fan quipped, his tone dripping with ridicule.

Ning Fan theatrically patted his chest as if genuinely alard, putting on a convincing act as though he truly feared Teng Yun Geshang had set up a trap for him at this banquet.
“Rest assured, there’s no Hongn Feast this ti. Have you heard about my collaboration with Chen Fengnan?”
Teng Yun Geshang chuckled, unconcerned with Ning Fan’s act. He knew Ning Fan could often outdo him in lodrama, so he paid no mind to the performance.
“Oh, I’ve heard. Definitely. My good friend working with soone as big-shot as you? How could I not know? He told himself. Think there’s a slice of the pie for ? What do you think?”
This partnership was sothing Chen Fengnan ntioned to Ning Fan imdiately—there was no way he wouldn’t know.
Teng Yun Geshang had anticipated this and didn’t press further. Instead, he followed Ning Fan’s lead: “Of course, there’s a spot for you. You’re the leading man.
