Chapter 714: Chapter 487: I Don’t Believe It

(This is yesterday’s update… quite troubleso, I decided to nap for 2 hours after dinner, but when I opened my eyes it was already 9 am the next day.)

When Xiang Shan spoke, Rong Wei and the lieutenant colonel, who was around forty years old, remained silent.

Naturally, this was a tacit admission of the attitude.

No one who cos to the Special Service Departnt can act so privileged. If there really was nothing wrong, why would they co here?

Seeing the attitude of the leader, two soldiers behind Xiang Shan exchanged glances and pressed a button on the equipnt rack, causing a heavy iron box to slide down in front of them.

After pressing with their fingers, the box sprang open, and within it lay a pair of thick Magnetic Energy Bracelets.

Weighing a full twenty kilograms, ordinary wrists could not bear such weight, especially since the magnetic device had not yet been activated.

Once activated, the two bracelets would firmly adhere to each other, and anyone below level 20 in physique should not think about breaking free.

Such handcuffs were prepared specifically for the most brutally heavy offenders.

Why they were being used on a new academy student was not sothing they needed to ponder.

The two soldiers, one holding each heavy bracelet in hand.

Xiang Shan then rembered what Major Night Assassination had said and so gestured with his arm by curling his finger.

“Jin Fei, bring your n and follow .”

A captain behind him saluted, “Yes, sir!”

Then a squad of about twenty soldiers ard with light pulse rifles appeared on both sides and followed the two soldiers forward.

“Isn’t this a bit too much of a spectacle to greet this kid?” The lieutenant colonel nad Li Cheng squinted his eyes, muttering to himself.

“This is the Special Service Departnt, do we get trash here?” Rong Wei comnted offhandedly, her eyes fixated on the quiet armored vehicle.

She left unsaid that the culprit who had injured her brother had finally fallen into her hands, how could she not entertain him properly.

“Mu Fan, this place must be a secret military base, with strong electromagnetic isolation, but it’s not like the ultra-strong electromagnetic fields in Dingchuan Academy, rather, it’s similar to the force field created by the Shadow Fleet, where signals just can’t get out.”

Hearing Black’s words, Mu Fan nodded, then suddenly his ears twitched slightly.

A cold breath covered his eyes.

Boosted by Ghost Energy, Spiritual Perception spread without hinderance, penetrating the armored prison.

Mu Fan’s gaze was indifferent as he muttered to himself, “They really think highly of .”

Suddenly, a squeaking tal friction sound ca from below, then the steel prison he was in began to move with a creak.

Xiang Shan controlled the instrunt in his hand, and the steel cage began moving outward along the rails, glancing left and right before speaking, “Safety off, get ready to greet our guest.”

A series of crisp clicking noises rang out as all the pulse rifles’ safeties were disengaged, their muzzles pointing at the steel cage.

Then, sitting calmly inside, Mu Fan only saw a slightly bright light flash before his eyes.

The sound of rail friction also stopped.

Xiang Shan looked at the steel cage that smoothly landed on the ground along the rails and chuckled lightly, stepping forward to look inside through the one-way glass.

A young man in an academy uniform sat quietly inside with empty hands and his head lowered, his expression unclear.

“He’s really behaving, open the gate.”

After speaking, he signaled the two soldiers holding Magnetic Energy Cuffs, stepped back, and pressed the controller in his hand.

With a hiss, the hydraulic door of the steel cage slowly lowered, revealing Mu Fan sitting inside to the soldiers.

Mu Fan finally squinted and lifted his head, looking at the group of people before him.

However, noticing that the uniforms of the surrounding soldiers were clearly different from before and that the leading two officers were both of lieutenant colonel rank,

one of them, a woman with a cold face, was watching him coldly, her eyes carrying a trace of deeply hidden hatred.

If Mu Fan hadn’t keenly noticed the slight furrowing at the corner of her eye, he might not have detected it.

But having entered a Shallow Dark Breath state, Mu Fan found it hard to be affected by other emotions.

An array of dark muzzles pointed at him, yet Mu Fan calmly stood up, completely disregarding those chilling gazes.

“Where are the people from that departnt just now?”

Mu Fan actually spoke first, and in a very calm tone.

Xiang Shan sneered inwardly; indeed, a troublemaker, but they had seen many such individuals.

This kid was definitely not the first, nor would he be the last.

“Hehe, you seem pretty casual, did you really think we invited you here? Enough with the nonsense.”

Xiang Shan’s face turned cold while he was still smiling, and he waved his hand forward.

Two soldiers approached Mu Fan, each holding a Magnetic Energy Ring.

“Shackle him.”

Seeing the array around him and the soldiers approaching him with thick steel rings, Mu Fan expressionlessly stood up.

This action caused a circle of gun muzzles to simultaneously rise.

“I just ca to cooperate with your investigation; what does this an now? Have you convicted without an investigation?” Mu Fan’s indifferent eyes looked straight at Xiang Shan, his words tinged with rciless sarcasm.

“This is the Special Service Departnt; do you think this is so kind of superficial investigation? You think everything will be fine for you here in the Special Service Departnt? Think too much…”

“Tell the charges. According to Article 15, Section 3 of the Federation Active Duty Military Officer Law, active duty military personnel cannot be treated as guilty without charges, and violators will be punished by a military tribunal.”

Mu Fan raised his hands and looked at his palms, speaking indifferently, paying no attention at all to the firearms around him.

“Charges? Do you need them? Or are your ears deaf? This is the Special Service Departnt; I advise you to cooperate obediently. Otherwise, I can’t guarantee that none of these surrounding guns will misfire.”

Xiang Shan answered with a sinister smile, twisting his neck. What did this kid think of the Special Service Departnt?

A convenience store, or his own house?

Co and go as he pleases?

Mu Fan remained calm, his tone unfluctuating, “I can cooperate with your investigation, but rember, I’m not your prisoner.”

Seeing Mu Fan’s deanor, Li Cheng, standing beside Rong Wei, chuckled lightly; today, this kid was really interesting.

However, this chuckle, like a latent mockery, caused Xiang Shan’s pupils to constrict.

“Damn your nonsense!”

Xiang Shan’s face turned vicious, and suddenly, a heavy black pistol appeared in his hand, its cold muzzle pressed directly against Mu Fan’s head, even allowing the sound of tal hitting skull to be heard.

This sudden action was definitely a harsh one.

The heavy muzzle pounded without leaving a mark on the skin, but the force transmitted to the brain was definitely not pleasant; a person with a weaker physique might have been smashed to the ground by it.

However, Mu Fan’s head did not shake at all, nor did it move back a bit; he completely withstood the force.

His tough skin showed no signs of injury, Mu Fan disregarded the pain coming from his head, which really wasn’t that painful in actuality.

His eyes looked up and then stared directly at Xiang Shan, his tone chilling:

“Move it away.”

“Believe it or not, I’ll kill you right now!” A twisted killing intent shone in Xiang Shan’s eyes; hadn’t the people of the Special Service Departnt taken enough lives already?

“I don’t…”

Mu Fan’s gaze turned cold, then his legs under the academy uniform vibrated rapidly until they blurred, a loud explosion appearing in the air.

His right hand flicked out like lightning.

Xiang Shan only felt a blur before his eyes, and then when he wanted to pull the trigger, he suddenly felt emptiness in his hand; it was only then his body tried to move, but a cold gun muzzle pressed heavily against his head.

The intense pain transmitted from his forehead, his body instinctively retreating a few steps.

However, that gun muzzle remained firmly pressed against his head, the opposing figure shadowing closely.

Only then did the surrounding soldiers react, not just the twenty-two soldiers, but also the ones behind Li Cheng and Rong Wei, all simultaneously raised their guns.

In the mont just now that everyone had failed to react…

That kid had actually snatched Xiang Shan’s pistol!

Mu Fan coldly watched the Major opposite him, the gun muzzle still forcibly pressing against the other’s skull, his arm slowly bending, forcing Xiang Shan’s head to tilt back, then leaning forward himself, their faces rely twenty centiters apart.

Listening to the sound of safety catches being released around him, his eyes calmly observed the blood oozing under the gun muzzle.

Then his gaze t Xiang Shan’s angry and shocked eyes, and he sighed lightly:

“I hate it most when soone points a gun at my head.”

Then a vaguely aningful smile hung on his face:

“You tell … do I dare to kill you?”

The indifferent tone sent chills through everyone present.
